About Legion Health
Legion Health is building autonomous medical care, starting with psychiatry. Our AI-native care-delivery platform currently automates 95% of the administrative work required for us to deliver direct patient care. We also recently became the first company ever to receive regulatory authorization to let AI prescribe psychiatric medications, allowing us to not only collapse health care’s admin costs but also its clinical labor costs—entirely shifting this industry’s economics from humans to tokens.
Our technical moat is hard to copy—we combine rich data, production AI, psychiatrists in the loop, and end-to-end care operations to deliver measurably better care to a clinically complex patient population. This has helped us produce 20K+ total visits and $4.2M in ARR in just 2 years (~4× YoY), all while holding ops costs flat and achieving industry-leading patient NPS and retention.
While the last generation of healthcare startups made the existing system slightly more efficient—for example, by moving providers from out-of-network to accepting insurance—Legion is fundamentally rebuilding full-stack care delivery from first principles. With a global TAM of $2.15T and our recent regulatory approval for autonomous prescribing, we plan to 10× in the next year with a national rollout.
The company was founded by three best friends from Princeton University: Yash was the youngest health economist at the Congressional Budget Office with Medicare and Medicaid expertise, Daniel has an extensive background in deep learning and AI from Microsoft, and Arthur is a self-taught engineer and former McKinsey consultant. Legion Health is backed by Y Combinator, Alumni Ventures, and Soma Capital, plus founders from Function Health, Modern Health, Everly Health, Trusted Health, Clipboard Health, PatientPing, Sesame Care, Faire, EasyPost, and fuboTV.

📍 Role Logistics
Job Type: Full-Time
Role Type: GTM Engineering / Revenue Systems / Provider Partnerships / AI Automation / Data & Attribution
Ideal Experience Level: 5+ years, including 3+ years owning GTM systems, revenue automation, growth engineering, or technical RevOps
Location: In-Person in San Francisco, CA
US Visa Sponsorship: Yes
🚀 The Opportunity
Legion is hiring a Founding GTM Engineer to build the AI-native commercial and referral infrastructure behind our provider-partnership motion. Your systems will help us identify the right provider organizations, reach the right stakeholders, turn interest into referrals, and move referred patients into care quickly.
This is not a traditional RevOps or CRM administration job. You will own the technical architecture from market mapping and outbound through referral intake, attribution, eligibility, onboarding, and partner reporting. You will configure best-in-class tools when they are sufficient and write code or build integrations, agents, and internal products when they are not.
You will build both sides of our sales motion. From the bottom up, Legion needs a complete view of every clinic, location, physician, referral coordinator, and office leader in a market. From the top down, we need to map enterprise medical groups, centralized referral teams, executives, clinical leaders, and every stakeholder who can shape a partnership. The system should tell each representative who matters, why they matter, what happened last, and what to do next.
You will also engineer the path from referral to care. Referrals may arrive through fax, forms, APIs, tracked links, QR codes, phone calls, or patients who begin online after a provider recommendation. Regardless of channel, Legion must identify the source, resolve the provider and organization, preserve attribution, process the referral, initiate eligibility and onboarding, and synchronize the right data across our CRM, product, analytics, and patient-engagement systems.
The right person is a hands-on systems builder with strong product judgment. You should be comfortable choosing a CRM, modeling complex account hierarchies, writing SQL and lightweight production code, integrating APIs, deploying AI workflows, debugging failures, and partnering with sales, product, engineering, data, operations, clinical, compliance, and security teams. Over time, you will help turn provider partnerships into a secure product that makes Legion the easiest psychiatric care partner in the country: simple to refer patients to, easy to collaborate with, and consistently responsive.
✅ Responsibilities and Deliverables
Select and architect Legion’s provider-partnership CRM—whether HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio, or another platform—as the source of truth for organizations, locations, stakeholders, opportunities, referrals, ownership, and next actions.
Design a durable account hierarchy that connects individual clinicians, clinic locations, care teams, medical groups, parent organizations, enterprise partnerships, and internal owners without losing history or context.
Build a provider prospecting data layer using NPI and claims data, Definitive Healthcare or similar datasets, public sources, enrichment providers, and Legion’s internal data.
Create account-scoring and territory systems that prioritize targets using geography, specialty, patient volume, payer mix, referral potential, network relationships, and engagement signals.
Build coordinated outbound workflows across email, phone, LinkedIn, direct mail, events, lunch-and-learns, and field sales using tools such as Clay, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sequencing platforms, AI agents, and custom integrations.
Map clinic-level champions and referral coordinators alongside enterprise executives, clinical leaders, operations leaders, and centralized referral teams so Legion can sell from the bottom up and the top down.
Equip sales representatives with accurate contact data, office addresses, account briefs, relationship history, meeting preparation, follow-up automation, and clear next-best actions.
Deploy AI-assisted workflows for account research, stakeholder discovery, enrichment, outreach drafting, call intelligence, CRM updates, and follow-up with appropriate evaluations and human review.
Build an omnichannel referral-ingestion layer that turns fax, forms, APIs, tracked links, QR codes, phone calls, provider handoffs, and patients who begin online after a provider recommendation into structured, traceable records.
Automate referral processing, including document extraction, provider and organization matching, deduplication, completeness checks, routing, exception handling, and audit trails.
Connect referral intake to insurance eligibility and AI-native front-desk workflows for patient outreach, onboarding, and scheduling so referred patients reach the right next step without avoidable delays.
Own end-to-end attribution across the referring clinician, clinic, parent organization, partnership, sales representative, campaign, channel, UTM, QR code, landing page, fax source, and downstream patient journey.
Integrate the provider CRM, Legion’s database, the patient-facing CRM, PostHog, Braze or another lifecycle platform, analytics systems, and custom applications into one coherent data flow.
Partner with product and engineering to build secure provider-facing dashboards and workflows for referral volume, referral status, time-to-contact, scheduling progress, coverage and copay information, and other authorized care-coordination information.
Build compliant workflows that return medical records, care summaries, and status updates to referring care teams through approved fax, secure email, portal, interoperability, or other authorized channels at the right cadence.
Create dashboards and operating reviews for market coverage, stakeholder penetration, outreach performance, pipeline, referral volume, conversion, speed to care, repeat referrals, partner expansion, and revenue impact.
Own production reliability across monitoring, logging, retries, rate-limit handling, identity resolution, testing, versioning, access control, documentation, and recovery when systems fail.
Treat HIPAA, PHI handling, minimum-necessary access, role-based permissions, audit trails, consent, and provider trust as product requirements in every automated workflow.
Make disciplined build-versus-buy decisions, ship useful first versions quickly, and drive adoption through clear playbooks, training, and change management.
🏆 You’ll Be Successful If You…
Give Legion a provider CRM and data model that the team trusts as the source of truth.
Create a complete, prioritized map of each market so representatives spend time with the right organizations and people.
Build a repeatable outbound engine that produces qualified provider conversations and pipeline through coordinated digital, field, bottom-up, and top-down plays.
Ensure every referral is captured, processed, routed, and attributed correctly regardless of how it arrives.
Reduce the time from referral to eligibility, patient contact, onboarding, scheduling, and completed care.
Give referring care teams a secure, useful experience that increases trust and repeat referrals.
Remove repetitive research, data entry, document processing, routing, follow-up, and reporting work without sacrificing accuracy or judgment.
Build reliable systems that sales and operations adopt, improve continuously, and measurably increase referral volume, conversion, speed to care, partner retention, and revenue.
🧰 Ideal Background and Skills
5+ years in GTM engineering, revenue operations, sales operations, growth engineering, business systems, data engineering, internal tools, or another systems-building role close to revenue.
3+ years directly owning CRM architecture, GTM automation, data pipelines, outbound infrastructure, attribution, or technically complex revenue programs.
Strong technical foundation: advanced SQL plus the ability to write and review production-quality Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript for integrations, automations, and internal tools.
Deep CRM fluency in HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio, or similar, including objects, associations, account hierarchies, lifecycle stages, permissions, routing, reporting, deduplication, and data governance.
Hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, ETL or reverse ETL, event instrumentation, identity resolution, error handling, observability, and modern data warehouses.
Practical fluency with modern GTM tools such as Clay, Apollo, Definitive Healthcare, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Salesloft, n8n, Make, Zapier, Workato, or equivalent platforms.
Production experience with LLM-powered research, extraction, classification, routing, or agentic automation, including structured outputs, evaluations, monitoring, confidence thresholds, and human-in-the-loop review.
Strong analytical judgment across funnels, attribution, pipeline, conversion, velocity, cohort analysis, experimentation, and revenue impact.
Strong product sense and build-versus-buy judgment. You can turn a messy frontline problem into a coherent system that people trust and use.
Strong preference for experience in healthcare, provider partnerships, referrals, physician networks, field sales, multi-location organizations, or another complex relationship-driven business.
Healthcare and security judgment: disciplined access controls, auditability, minimum-necessary access and data use, consent, and close partnership with compliance and clinical leaders.
Bonus: experience with eFax, referral management, EHR integrations, HL7, FHIR, eligibility, claims, provider directories, or NPI data.
Excellent cross-functional communication. You can translate the needs of a sales representative, referral coordinator, operator, clinician, engineer, analyst, and executive into a system that works.
Low ego, high ownership, and startup intensity. You can diagnose the bottleneck, design the solution, ship a useful version, measure the result, and improve it quickly.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $140,000 – $260,000, based on experience
Early-Stage Equity: Competitive
Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision benefits
Additional Perks: In-person retreats, meal stipends, GTM and revenue-systems tooling budget, learning stipend, AI tooling budget
Time Off: Flexible, unlimited vacation policy
Work Hours: Flexible, with responsiveness around high-impact launches or system issues
Work Setup: In-Person in San Francisco, CA
Impact: Build the technical system that turns provider partnerships into faster access to high-quality psychiatric care.
Autonomy and Learning: Own CRM architecture, provider data, outbound infrastructure, referral workflows, attribution, AI automation, reporting, and partner-facing systems end-to-end.
Growth Opportunities: As Legion scales, this role can grow into Head of GTM Engineering, Head of Revenue Operations, or a broader product and growth leadership role.

📍 Role Logistics
Job Type: Full-Time
Role Type: People / Talent / Recruiting / People Operations
Ideal Experience Level: 5+ years
Location: San Francisco
Work Setup: In person in San Francisco; this is not a remote role
Reports To: Co-founder and CEO
US Visa Sponsorship: Yes
🚀 The Opportunity
Legion is hiring a Founding People and Talent Leader to build the talent engine and people operating system behind a category-defining healthcare company.
You will be the senior-most owner of People and Talent at Legion. You will own the entire employee journey—from the first outbound recruiting message through interviews, closing, relocation, onboarding, performance, development, compensation, engagement, and eventual offboarding.
This is an unusually broad, hands-on leadership role. In the same week, you might personally source an exceptional AI engineer, close a senior operator, coach a manager through difficult feedback, review payroll, coordinate an employee’s move to San Francisco, improve onboarding, and produce a company dinner or offsite.
You will not inherit a large recruiting or HR team. During the first 12–18 months, you are the team: the lead recruiter, People operator, culture builder, employee-experience owner, and trusted adviser to the founders. You will build systems and eventually hire support only where the company’s scale and bottlenecks justify it.
The right person combines the talent instincts of an elite startup recruiter, the operational precision of an exceptional People leader, the judgment of a trusted executive partner, and the warmth of someone who genuinely enjoys creating an extraordinary place to work.
This is not a role for someone who wants to advise from a distance, manage a team of recruiters, or hand execution to vendors. We need a player-coach who can build the strategy, open Ashby, source candidates, close offers, fix broken processes, and personally make sure every new employee has a laptop and a great first day.
✅ Responsibilities and Deliverables
Own Legion’s company-wide talent plan: translate business priorities, product roadmaps, clinical expansion, and organizational constraints into a sequenced hiring plan with clear role priorities, scorecards, timelines, and accountable hiring managers.
Personally run full-cycle recruiting across AI and engineering, product, consumer growth, operations, finance, clinical leadership, executive, and other hard-to-fill roles—from role kickoff and sourcing through assessment, references, offer negotiation, and close.
Build exceptional outbound pipelines. Identify and engage high-performing passive candidates through targeted research, personalized outreach, referrals, communities, events, founder networks, and persistent relationship-building.
Create a rigorous hiring standard for every role: outcome-based scorecards, calibrated interview plans, structured questions, useful work samples, interviewer training, evidence-based debriefs, references, and explicit hiring decisions.
Become a compelling closer. Understand what motivates each candidate and thoughtfully navigate compensation, equity, risk, mission, career trajectory, immigration, relocation, counteroffers, family considerations, and other barriers to joining an early-stage company.
Deliver an unusually strong candidate experience: fast communication, organized scheduling, prepared interviewers, honest expectations, thoughtful selling, clear decisions, and respectful rejection.
Build Legion’s employer brand and talent narrative across job descriptions, recruiting content, founder channels, employee stories, events, referrals, candidate materials, and targeted communities.
Own recruiting operations and analytics, including Ashby configuration, pipeline integrity, scheduling workflows, templates, agency management, recruiting spend, weekly talent reviews, forecasting, and hiring-manager accountability.
Measure recruiting performance using metrics that matter: quality of hire, source quality, qualified pipeline, conversion by stage, time in stage, time to fill, offer acceptance, hiring-manager responsiveness, candidate experience, retention, and agency dependence.
Own the complete employee lifecycle: offers, employment agreements, background checks, work authorization, onboarding, employee records, status changes, leaves, promotions, compensation changes, transfers, departures, and offboarding.
Run reliable payroll and payment operations for employees and contractors. Coordinate payroll changes, bonuses, deductions, reimbursements, commissions where applicable, tax registrations, and issue resolution accurately and on time.
Own the operating relationship with benefits, payroll, HRIS, equity, immigration, background-check, employment-law, and other People vendors. Hold every partner accountable for service, accuracy, cost, and employee experience.
Administer and continuously improve medical, dental, vision, leave, retirement, wellness, and other benefit programs, ensuring employees understand and can actually use what Legion provides.
Partner with finance and leadership on compensation philosophy, salary bands, equity practices, offer construction, promotions, market calibration, headcount planning, and People budgets.
Build pragmatic People infrastructure: policies, handbook, compliance calendar, employee files, required notices, training, reporting, approval workflows, templates, manager resources, and a clear source of truth.
Coordinate with qualified employment, immigration, benefits, tax, and other counsel to manage California and multi-state employment requirements, worker classification, accommodations, leaves, investigations, immigration, terminations, and other sensitive matters. You are not expected to be Legion’s lawyer, but you are accountable for recognizing risk early and getting the right advice.
Handle employee relations with discretion, fairness, speed, and sound judgment. Support investigations, performance concerns, interpersonal conflict, accommodations, conduct issues, improvement plans, and departures without avoiding difficult decisions.
Build a high-quality performance system: clear expectations, direct feedback, regular check-ins, talent reviews, manager calibration, development plans, promotion decisions, recognition, and decisive intervention when performance falls below Legion’s standard.
Help leadership design the organization as it scales: roles, reporting lines, spans of control, responsibilities, decision rights, succession risk, management capacity, and where the company should hire, develop, redesign, or part ways.
Coach founders and managers to become exceptional talent leaders. Help them set expectations, give feedback, interview effectively, make difficult calls, recognize excellent work, and build teams with high talent density.
Own relocation to San Francisco for new and existing employees. Design the policy and coordinate immigration, travel, temporary housing, moving support, reimbursements, payroll and state transitions, family considerations, and local onboarding from signed offer through successful arrival.
Make every employee operationally ready on Day 1. Coordinate laptops, accessories, mobile-device management, software, email, permissions, security access, account provisioning, workspace, onboarding schedules, equipment inventory, replacements, and returns.
Build an onboarding experience that accelerates time to impact: preboarding, company context, role-specific plans, compliance and security training, manager preparation, introductions, 30/60/90-day expectations, and structured feedback.
Own the San Francisco employee and workplace experience, including office operations, meals, supplies, vendors, workspace readiness, candidate onsite visits, safety, and the details that allow the team to do excellent work.
Create memorable internal experiences: team dinners, celebrations, launches, traditions, learning sessions, retreats, offsites, community events, and other moments that make Legion demanding, energizing, and fun.
Own the operating details behind company events, including objectives, budgets, venues, travel, vendors, accessibility, communications, attendance, execution, and post-event feedback.
Build effective internal communications so employees understand company priorities, organizational changes, new hires, policies, decisions, expectations, and the reasoning behind them.
Listen to the organization without becoming governed by surveys or consensus. Use direct conversations, employee feedback, manager input, operating data, and judgment to identify risks and improve the employee experience.
Use AI aggressively and responsibly to improve sourcing, outreach, scheduling, documentation, onboarding, employee self-service, People analytics, knowledge management, and repetitive administration while protecting confidential employee and candidate information.
Build the People and Talent team over time. Hire recruiters, coordinators, People operators, workplace support, or specialist partners only when the data and organizational needs justify additional leverage.
🏆 You’ll Be Successful If You…
Within your first 30 days, you understand Legion’s business, team, open roles, hiring constraints, compensation practices, People systems, vendors, organizational risks, and most urgent operational gaps.
Every priority opening has a clear scorecard, calibrated interview process, accountable hiring manager, sourcing strategy, recruiting owner, and realistic closing plan.
Within 90 days, Legion has consistent outbound pipelines for its hardest roles, a disciplined weekly talent review, reliable recruiting data, and substantially less founder time lost to scheduling and recruiting administration.
Candidates move through Legion’s process quickly, encounter prepared interviewers, receive clear communication, and leave with a stronger impression of the company regardless of the final decision.
Legion consistently hires unusually capable people rather than merely filling seats. Quality of hire and long-term talent density remain more important than raw hiring volume.
Offers close because candidates understand Legion’s mission, expectations, upside, risks, compensation, equity, working environment, and the extraordinary opportunity in front of them.
Every new hire arrives in San Francisco with relocation barriers addressed and begins Day 1 with the necessary equipment, access, schedule, context, relationships, and expectations.
Payroll, benefits, employee records, compliance deadlines, equity coordination, equipment, onboarding, and offboarding operate reliably without recurring surprises or manual heroics.
Managers give clearer feedback, address performance problems earlier, interview more effectively, and make better organizational decisions because of your coaching and systems.
Legion develops a practical compensation, leveling, performance, and promotion framework that employees and managers can understand without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
Company events and rituals strengthen trust, connection, energy, and shared purpose rather than feeling like obligatory corporate programming.
You identify organizational, compliance, employee-relations, and retention risks before they become crises, and leadership trusts you to handle sensitive situations with discretion and courage.
You build a People function that is highly responsive and deeply human while remaining operationally rigorous, analytically grounded, and appropriately lean.
AI and automation eliminate meaningful administrative work without degrading candidate experience, employee trust, data security, or decision quality.
Twelve months from now, Legion has measurably higher talent density, a more predictable recruiting engine, stronger managers, faster onboarding, clearer expectations, and substantially less reactive People work sitting with the founders.
🧰 Ideal Background and Skills
5+ years of progressively responsible experience spanning recruiting, talent leadership, People Operations, HR, or organizational leadership at high-growth technology companies.
Experience serving as the first, early, or senior-most People and Talent hire at a venture-backed startup—ideally while scaling from approximately 25–50 employees to 100–150+.
Demonstrated success personally sourcing, assessing, and closing exceptional passive candidates for difficult roles. You are still energized by recruiting and do not consider sourcing or coordination beneath your level.
Strong technical-recruiting ability across AI, engineering, data, and product, plus the versatility to recruit consumer growth, operations, clinical leadership, finance, and executive talent.
Evidence that your hires became high-performing, durable members of the organization—not simply that you hit an annual hiring number.
Experience building recruiting infrastructure from zero or rebuilding an inconsistent system: workforce planning, scorecards, structured interviews, interviewer training, referrals, sourcing operations, analytics, employer branding, and closing.
Hands-on People Operations experience across payroll, benefits, HRIS, employee records, equity administration, onboarding, offboarding, leaves, policies, vendor management, and compliance.
Sound working knowledge of California and multi-state employment practices, with the judgment to identify when specialized employment, immigration, tax, or benefits counsel is required.
Experience managing sensitive employee-relations matters, investigations, performance improvement, terminations, accommodations, organizational changes, and other high-stakes situations.
Experience designing or operating compensation bands, leveling, performance reviews, promotion processes, talent reviews, manager training, and workforce planning.
Excellent judgment under ambiguity. You can balance speed, consistency, empathy, legal risk, individual circumstances, and company standards without hiding behind policy.
Strong analytical fluency. You can build dashboards, diagnose funnel problems, forecast hiring capacity, audit compensation, evaluate vendors, and distinguish useful People data from vanity metrics.
Comfortable with tools such as Ashby, Rippling, Gusto, Justworks, Deel, Carta, Pave, Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, modern device-management systems, and AI tools for sourcing, analysis, automation, and documentation.
Exceptional written and verbal communication. You can write a compelling outbound message, a precise policy, a sensitive employee communication, a strong job description, and a clear executive recommendation.
High discretion and unquestioned integrity. People trust you with information that cannot be mishandled, politicized, or casually shared.
High warmth and high standards. You care deeply about people without confusing care with avoiding accountability or lowering the bar.
Strong hospitality and event instincts. You notice the operational details that make interviews, first days, dinners, retreats, and the everyday workplace feel intentional.
Low ego, high urgency, and founder-level ownership. You can set a talent strategy Monday, source candidates Tuesday, fix payroll Wednesday, coach a manager Thursday, and run an exceptional team event Friday.
Willing and excited to work in person in San Francisco and to help build an in-person culture with exceptional energy, trust, and execution.
Especially valuable: Experience in healthcare, regulated technology, AI, clinician recruiting, mixed employee/contractor workforces, immigration, relocation, workplace operations, or rapid office-based scaling.

🧠 About Legion Health
At Legion Health, we believe everyone deserves fast, affordable, and world-class health care, and we’re developing the AI infrastructure to deliver it ourselves at world scale.
Legion is building autonomous medical care (the AI doctor), starting with psychiatry. Our AI-native care-delivery platform currently automates 95% of the administrative work required for us to deliver direct patient care. We also recently became the first company ever to receive regulatory authorization to let AI prescribe psychiatric medications, allowing us to not only collapse health care’s admin costs but also its clinical labor costs—shifting this industry’s economics from humans to tokens.
Our technical moat is hard to copy—we combine rich data, production AI, doctors in the loop, and end-to-end care operations to deliver measurably better care to a clinically complex patient population. This has helped us produce tens of thousands of total visits in just 2 years, all while holding ops costs flat and achieving industry-leading patient NPS and retention. While the last generation of healthcare startups made the existing system incrementally more efficient, Legion is rebuilding full-stack care delivery from first principles. Our vision? A 10X better patient experience that’s higher quality, less expensive, and more scalable than ever before. And a 10X better clinician experience that frees our providers to focus on what matters most: caring for patients.

Join us as we build the future of health care: faster, higher-quality, and more affordable, powered by doctors and AI working together.
📍 Role Logistics
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time Contract (1099)
Role Type: Provider Directory Operations / Payer Data / Credentialing / Growth Operations
Ideal Experience Level: 2+ years
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: Approximately 20–40 hours/week
Initial Engagement: 3-month project, with opportunity to renew and expand based on results
Work Hours: Flexible, with enough U.S. business-hours overlap for payer outreach
Start Date: ASAP
🚀 The Opportunity
Legion is hiring a Insurance Directory Growth and Operations Lead to turn insurance-payer directories into a measurable, scalable patient-acquisition channel. Payer member portals are among the highest-intent places patients look for in-network psychiatric care, yet inaccurate or low-visibility listings create silent failure points: patients cannot find Legion, see the wrong information, or reach a phone-only dead end.
You will own the full directory funnel: authoritative provider data → payer publication → member-side search visibility → click or call to action → eligibility → scheduling → completed first visit. You will be accountable for both operational accuracy and business outcomes, including directory-sourced intakes, booked visits, conversion, and incremental revenue.
This is a hands-on operator role. You should be comfortable auditing large rosters, working inside payer portals, calling and emailing network-operations teams, reconciling CAQH and NPPES data, investigating edge cases, maintaining airtight change logs, creating UTM links, setting up recurring QA, and partnering with Growth and Engineering to route patients into a touchless onboarding experience.
✅ Responsibilities and Deliverables
Own Legion’s provider-directory accuracy and growth metrics across every contracted payer and network, state, clinician, service location, specialty, and member-facing directory surface.
Build and maintain the authoritative provider-data source of truth, including clinician legal and display names, Type 1 and Type 2 NPIs, group affiliations, taxonomy codes, licenses, specialties, service locations, telehealth eligibility, accepting-new-patients status, contact information, booking URLs, payer participation, last verification date, owner, status, and supporting evidence.
Reconcile the source of truth against NPPES, CAQH, credentialing rosters, payer portals, third-party aggregators, and internal provider and contracting systems; define source precedence for every field so discrepancies are resolved consistently.
Create a complete baseline inventory and risk-ranked remediation backlog, prioritizing missing providers, inactive or departed providers, wrong locations, missing telehealth indicators, incorrect specialties, duplicate records, broken links, phone-only calls to action, and high-volume payer opportunities.
Audit each directory as a patient would: search by ZIP code, state, plan, specialty, telehealth, availability, and accepting-new-patients filters; confirm Legion appears in the expected results and that every profile is accurate, complete, and actionable.
Verify that telehealth filters, virtual-visit tags, map pins, specialty mappings, language fields, appointment availability, and accepting-new-patients indicators behave correctly across desktop and mobile directory experiences where available.
Submit corrections through the right payer workflow—portal, roster file, API, secure email, ticket, or escalation—and track submission date, confirmation number, payer owner, promised service level, follow-up date, publication date, and member-side verification. A fix is not complete until it is live and independently rechecked.
Standardize naming conventions, address formatting, phone numbers, credentials, taxonomy and specialty mappings, group affiliations, telehealth designations, and URL structure; build validation rules and an explicit exception log.
Partner with payer directory and network-operations teams to improve Legion’s legitimate search prominence through accurate category mapping, telepsychiatry and virtual-care terminology, featured or virtual-visit badges, complete profile fields, and correct filter eligibility.
Replace phone-only or generic calls to action with direct Legion landing pages, self-scheduling links, or SMS short codes wherever payer rules and directory capabilities allow.
Create and govern unique UTM-tagged links by payer, network, directory, state, and placement; maintain a durable naming convention, redirect ownership, destination QA, and documentation so attribution survives future updates.
Partner with Growth and Engineering to build payer- and state-aware landing experiences, align insurance and availability messaging, reduce intake abandonment, and A/B-test calls to action, trust signals, scheduling flows, and page content.
Instrument and validate the directory funnel in PostHog or equivalent analytics from directory referral through eligibility, intake, scheduling, completed first visit, retention, and reactivation; maintain event definitions and investigate attribution gaps.
Build weekly reporting that covers inventory completeness, percentage of error-free listings, search-visibility coverage, corrections opened and closed, aging by payer, clicks, intakes, scheduled visits, completed visits, conversion rates, and attributable revenue.
Quantify the incremental patient volume and revenue unlocked by each material directory fix; maintain an opportunity model that ranks the backlog by expected impact, confidence, effort, and time to resolution.
Establish monthly sweeps and lightweight automated monitoring that detect payer regressions, roster drift, broken URLs, status changes, duplicate records, and unexpected search-result changes before they cost patients or revenue.
Integrate provider launches, departures, license changes, new payer contracts, new states, address changes, taxonomy updates, and scheduling changes into a documented change-management workflow with clear owners and service levels.
Create payer contact maps, escalation paths, reusable outreach templates, roster-submission checklists, evidence standards, SOPs, and a decision log so the operating system is auditable, repeatable, and transferable.
🏆 You’ll Be Successful If You…
Deliver a comprehensive, evidence-backed directory inventory within the first 30 days, with every contracted payer and active provider accounted for and no critical listing left without an owner or next action.
Reach and maintain at least 98% error-free coverage across high-priority member-facing listings, with critical errors escalated immediately and verified after publication.
Ensure high-priority contracted payer searches reliably return the correct Legion providers for relevant psychiatry, telepsychiatry, virtual-care, state, specialty, and accepting-new-patients queries.
Turn corrections into durable fixes, not one-time submissions: every closed item has member-side evidence, a verified source record, and a recurring control that reduces the chance of regression.
Make directory attribution trustworthy enough to follow source → intake → scheduled visit → completed visit, with clear handling for direct, phone, SMS, redirect, and unattributed traffic.
Increase directory-sourced eligibility starts, intakes, scheduled visits, and completed first visits—not just the number of profiles updated or tickets submitted.
Reduce time to detect, submit, escalate, and verify directory corrections, and make payer-specific bottlenecks visible before they stall the program.
Build monthly sweeps and data-sync workflows that keep manual work near zero without sacrificing field-level accuracy or human verification of member-facing results.
Reconcile operational reporting to the underlying roster, payer evidence, and analytics data so leadership can trust every metric and revenue estimate.
Identify systemic payer or data-pipeline failures, bring the right internal and external owners together, and drive the issue through to a durable resolution.
Move fast without using misleading listings, unsupported specialties, inaccurate availability, spammy tactics, or privacy and compliance shortcuts.
🧰 Ideal Background and Skills
2+ years in provider-data management, payer or network operations, credentialing, revenue-cycle operations, healthcare data quality, growth operations, or a closely related role.
Direct experience updating payer directories, provider-finder tools, or network rosters through platforms such as Availity, CAQH, HealthSmart, payer-specific portals, delegated roster workflows, or third-party directory vendors.
Strong working knowledge of Type 1 and Type 2 NPIs, NPPES, CAQH ProView, taxonomy codes, specialties, group affiliations, service locations, telehealth designations, accepting-new-patients status, and network participation.
Experience diagnosing discrepancies across multiple systems, determining the authoritative source, documenting the root cause, and verifying the member-facing correction after publication.
Advanced comfort with Google Sheets or Excel, including large CSVs, XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, data validation, deduplication, conditional formatting, normalization, and reconciliation.
Comfort with lightweight SQL, APIs, JSON or XML, SFTP roster files, scripts, or no-code automation; you do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be able to remove repetitive work.
Experience with UTM conventions, redirect QA, PostHog or comparable product analytics, funnel reporting, and conversion-rate measurement.
Ability to operate across portals, spreadsheets, email, phone, ticketing systems, and ambiguous payer processes while maintaining precise evidence and follow-up discipline.
Strong written and verbal communication. You can write a clean escalation, ask a payer representative for the exact file or field definition needed, and explain the patient and revenue impact of an unresolved issue.
Excellent quality-control instincts. You notice one transposed digit, inconsistent taxonomy mapping, outdated address, missing virtual-care tag, or suspicious duplicate—and you investigate until the record is correct.
Sound healthcare and privacy judgment. You can work with provider and network data while respecting access controls, minimum-necessary practices, payer rules, and Legion’s compliance requirements.
Low ego, high urgency, and end-to-end ownership. You measure success in accurate live listings and completed visits, not activity, submitted forms, or closed spreadsheets.
Bonus: Deep familiarity with the Texas payer landscape, multi-state telehealth networks, provider roster standards, directory APIs, delegated credentialing, or provider-data governance at scale.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: Competitive and based on experience
Performance Bonus: Additional compensation tied to strong outcomes such as verified listing accuracy, correction cycle time, directory-sourced booked visits, and measurable revenue impact
Contract Structure: Independent contractor (1099)
Time Commitment: Approximately 20–40 hours/week
Initial Term: 3-month project, renewable based on results and business needs
Work Hours: Flexible, with planned overlap for U.S. payer and internal-team coordination
Work Setup: Remote
Tools: PostHog, analytics dashboards, Google Sheets or Airtable, payer portals, CAQH, NPPES, roster files, APIs, and automation tools
Impact: Every accurate, discoverable listing helps a patient find in-network psychiatric care faster and turns an invisible operations fix into measurable clinical and business value.
Growth Opportunities: As the program scales, this engagement can expand into broader provider-data governance, payer operations, credentialing systems, or growth-operations ownership.

Our vision? A 10X better patient experience that’s higher quality, less expensive, and more scalable than ever before. And a 10X better clinician experience that frees our providers to focus on what matters most: caring for patients.
Join us as we build the future of mental health—and the highest‑quality, most efficient, and widest-reaching vehicle in healthcare. Powered by both humans and AI.
📍 Role Logistics
Job Type: Contract
Role Type: Patient Success
Ideal Experience Level: 2+ years of experience
Location: Fully Remote
Work Hours: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM Central Time
🚀 The Opportunity
We’re looking for a patient-focused, detail-oriented Patient Experience Representative to support patients throughout their care journey at Legion Health. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting patients directly in a digital health / telehealth environment and who is comfortable communicating by phone and messaging while navigating healthcare workflows.
We’re a fast-paced startup, so the right person is proactive, adaptable, and energized by building and improving processes as we scale. You’ll deliver exceptional patient support while coordinating the operational work that enables clinical care—reducing friction, creating clarity, and ensuring follow-through across teams.
Important note on the “clinical” piece: This is a non-clinical role (you will not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment). However, you’ll work closely with clinical operations—supporting patients with logistics and routing items to the clinical team with clear documentation. A clinical background or comfort with clinical language is a plus, but not required.
✅ Responsibilities and Deliverables
Respond to patient inquiries across phone and messaging platforms with clear, accurate, and timely communication
Provide compassionate, top-notch support with a strong focus on patient satisfaction
Assist with scheduling appointments, rescheduling, and helping patients onboard
Support patient retention and outreach through follow-ups, reminders, and proactive patient check-ins
Coordinate and track clinical workflows and administrative workflows to ensure patients get what they need with minimal delays, including:
Prior authorizations (collecting info, tracking status, and escalating as needed)
Prescription and refill coordination (triaging requests and routing to the clinical team)
FMLA / paperwork and documentation requests (intake, routing, tracking, follow-up)
General administrative tasks and patient coordination across internal teams
Accurately document patient interactions to ensure proper follow-up, case tracking, and continuity of support
Identify recurring patient issues and share feedback to improve workflows and quality of service
Work closely with team members to resolve patient concerns quickly and effectively
Maintain a reliable, high-speed internet connection for smooth and consistent communication
Always aim to deliver the best experience possible for our patients
🏆 You’ll Be Successful If You Are…
Proficient in spoken and written English
Calm under pressure and able to support patients with empathy—especially in sensitive situations
A quick learner who can adapt to new processes and stay up to date with changes
Organized and efficient, able to manage multiple conversations without missing details
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving startup environment
Comfortable using tools like Dialpad, Slack, Healthie (or similar platforms)
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and clear documentation habits
Comfortable partnering with clinical teams while staying firmly within a non-clinical scope
🧰 Ideal Background and Skills
2+ years in a patient-facing support role (behavioral health, digital health, telehealth, nursing admin, pharmacy, insurance, or similar)
Previous experience in a telehealth or call center environment is highly preferred
Familiarity with healthcare workflows (scheduling, insurance, pharmacies, documentation)
Clinical background is a plus (e.g., MA/CNA, nursing exposure, behavioral health settings, pharmacy), but not needed
The most important qualifications are patient empathy, operational execution, and clear communication
💰 Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Compensation: $5-$15 per hour
Work Hours: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM Central Time
Work Setup: Fully Remote
Impact: Work on something that truly matters to millions of patients and families.

Job Type: Full-Time
Role Type: Product / Technical Product Management / Consumer AI / Patient Experience / Retention
Ideal Experience Level: 5+ years
Location: San Francisco
US Visa Sponsorship: Yes
🚀 The Opportunity
Legion is hiring a Technical Product Manager, Consumer + AI to own the consumer product experience that turns AI-native care delivery into something patients can understand, trust, use, and return to.
This is not a technical program management role, an enterprise roadmap coordinator role, or a “growth PM” role with healthcare language added on top. You will own real product surface area across Legion’s patient journey: onboarding, intake, eligibility, scheduling, visit prep, provider matching, care-plan clarity, medication workflows, follow-up, renewals, messaging, reactivation, and the moments that make a patient feel safe enough to come back.
The right person is technical enough to reason through APIs, data models, event instrumentation, AI workflows, edge cases, system constraints, and engineering tradeoffs, but consumer-minded enough to know that the best product often feels obvious, calm, and human. You should be able to sit with a patient problem, map the underlying clinical and operational workflow, write a crisp product spec, prototype the interaction, instrument the funnel, partner deeply with engineering and design, ship the feature, and decide whether it actually improved care.
Legion is a modern consumer AI software company that happens to deliver medical care. That means the product bar is closer to Anthropic, OpenAI, Character.AI, Replit, Oura, WHOOP, Duolingo, Chime, Monarch, and the best consumer health companies than to traditional healthcare software. We need someone who can bring that level of product taste, technical speed, and retention thinking into a regulated, high-trust category where quality and safety matter.
This is a high-ownership IC role with founder-level visibility. You will work directly with engineering, design, clinical, operations, growth, data, compliance, and the founders to turn messy real-world care delivery into simple, powerful product experiences.
✅ Responsibilities and Deliverables
Own core patient-facing product surfaces across the full consumer journey: discovery, onboarding, intake, insurance/payment clarity, scheduling, provider fit, visit prep, visit completion, follow-up, care-plan adherence, refills, renewals, messaging, support, retention, and reactivation.
Translate complex clinical, operational, regulatory, and AI workflows into simple consumer experiences that reduce anxiety, increase clarity, and help patients know exactly what to do next.
Build durable product systems, not one-off features: patient timeline, care status, tasking, reminders, notifications, escalation paths, asynchronous messaging, support deflection, eligibility logic, provider availability, and follow-up workflows.
Partner with engineering to scope and ship technically sound products across web, mobile-responsive experiences, backend workflows, APIs, third-party integrations, event pipelines, data models, and AI-assisted workflows.
Define and own product metrics for your surface area, including activation, intake completion, scheduling conversion, first-visit completion, time to care, repeat-visit rate, renewal completion, retention, NPS/CSAT, patient confusion, support burden, no-shows, and ops cost per visit.
Use PostHog, SQL, analytics tools, customer support data, operational dashboards, and qualitative research to identify patient friction, prioritize product bets, and measure whether shipped work moved the right metrics.
Design and run structured experiments where appropriate, while knowing when a healthcare product needs principled product judgment, clinical input, and quality thresholds instead of pure A/B testing.
Own product specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, rollout plans, QA checklists, experiment plans, metric definitions, launch notes, and post-launch readouts with enough clarity that engineering, clinical, ops, and growth can all execute cleanly.
Prototype quickly using Figma, v0, Lovable, Replit, Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, lightweight scripts, no-code tools, or whatever helps you make product ideas concrete before engineering invests real cycles.
Partner with clinical and operations teams to deeply understand real patient and provider workflows, including edge cases: missed appointments, medication refill timing, insurance confusion, state/provider availability, pharmacies, clinical escalations, patient safety concerns, handoffs, and support loops.
Partner with compliance, legal, privacy, and clinical leadership to design AI-enabled product experiences with appropriate safeguards, human review, auditability, expectation-setting, and patient trust.
Improve Legion’s AI product layer: patient-facing AI interactions, AI-assisted intake, personalization, care navigation, workflow automation, internal copilots, clinical/ops review queues, and evaluation loops that make automation safer and more useful over time.
Create product feedback loops from patient conversations, support tickets, provider feedback, drop-off data, session recordings, funnel analytics, and clinical/ops metrics so the roadmap is grounded in real behavior, not vibes.
Work with growth and brand to ensure acquisition promises match the actual product experience, so the patients we bring in understand what Legion does, feel properly oriented, and are more likely to stay in care.
Raise the product craft bar across Legion: clearer flows, better defaults, fewer dead ends, tighter copy, sharper state handling, cleaner mobile experiences, stronger instrumentation, faster iteration, and more rigorous launch quality.
🏆 You’ll Be Successful If You…
Make Legion’s patient experience feel consumer-grade: fast, clear, calm, trustworthy, and easy to return to.
Improve the core retention loop of care: more patients complete intake, make it to their first visit, understand the next step, follow through on care plans, complete renewals when eligible, and come back when they need help.
Turn messy clinical and operational workflows into product systems that scale without making patients feel like they are navigating a maze.
Ship AI-enabled experiences that feel useful and safe, with clear boundaries around what AI does, what doctors do, and when humans review or intervene.
Build a measurement system that makes the patient journey legible: every meaningful step has an owner, a metric, and a path to improvement.
Reduce patient confusion and support burden by improving the product itself, not just by adding more manual operations.
Help Legion move faster without becoming sloppy: strong specs, smart scoping, crisp decisions, high-quality launches, and honest post-launch learning.
Earn trust from engineering because you understand technical constraints and tradeoffs, and from clinical/ops teams because you understand the reality of care delivery.
Create product experiences that are emotionally intelligent without being soft, technically sophisticated without being confusing, and ambitious without being reckless.
Help build the product foundation for a company that can deliver world-class medical care at dramatically lower cost.
🧰 Ideal Background and Skills
5+ years of product management, product engineering, technical founder, or equivalent experience, with meaningful ownership of consumer-facing web or mobile products.
Strong consumer product instincts. You have shipped products that people actually use, understand, trust, and return to, not just internal tools or enterprise workflows.
Technical fluency across software product development. You can reason through APIs, data models, event instrumentation, backend workflows, frontend states, AI workflows, latency, failure modes, privacy constraints, and engineering tradeoffs.
Hands-on technical curiosity. You can navigate API docs, logs, event payloads, session recordings, agent traces, and enough of a codebase to understand what is really happening without pulling engineers into every first-pass investigation.
Experience partnering deeply with engineering and design from problem definition through launch: discovery, PRDs/specs, UX flows, technical scoping, sprint planning, QA, rollout, metric tracking, and iteration.
Strong analytical ability. You are comfortable with SQL or equivalent data exploration, product analytics tools such as PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Looker, Hex, or Mode, and you can define useful metrics without waiting for someone else to hand you a dashboard.
Track record improving engagement, retention, activation, conversion, habit formation, lifecycle, or core experience metrics in a consumer product.
High product taste and UX judgment. You care about copy, information architecture, interaction design, empty states, error states, mobile responsiveness, notification timing, trust cues, and the emotional texture of the user experience.
AI-native working style. You already use tools like Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Replit, Lovable, v0, ChatGPT, Claude, Figma AI, or similar tools to prototype, analyze, write, synthesize, debug, and move faster.
Comfort working on AI-enabled products where the PM must think about prompt behavior, user expectations, evaluation, quality thresholds, fallback paths, human review, auditability, and safety.
Healthcare experience is a strong plus but not required. Experience in another trust-sensitive consumer category such as fintech, insurance, family/kids, identity, privacy, marketplaces, wellness, or regulated consumer products is also valuable.
Startup operating mode: high agency, low ego, high urgency, strong writing, strong judgment, strong follow-through. You can create clarity without waiting for a perfect org chart.
Ability to work cross-functionally with clinical, operations, support, compliance, legal, growth, data, design, engineering, and founders without losing the thread of the user problem.
Excellent writing. You can write crisp strategy docs, product specs, launch plans, decision memos, patient-facing copy, and post-launch analyses.
Bias toward building. You are happiest when you are close to the product, close to users, close to the data, and shipping.
Bonus: experience at or near companies like Anthropic, OpenAI, Character.AI, Replit, Cursor, Perplexity, Notion, Duolingo, Oura, WHOOP, Chime, Monarch Money, Rocket Money, Acorns, Function Health, Nourish, General Medicine, Circle Medical, Tava Health, Headway, Rula, Midi Health, Evvy, Ro, Hims & Hers, Thirty Madison, Levels, Superpower, or another breakout consumer product with high craft, high trust, and fast iteration.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $150,000 – $240,000
Early-Stage Equity: Competitive
Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision benefits
Additional Perks: In-person retreats, meal stipends, AI/product tooling budget, learning stipend, home office support
Time Off: Flexible, unlimited vacation policy
Work Hours: Flexible
Work Setup: Remote, with regular in-person product/build sprints
Impact: Build the product layer for a company trying to change health care forever.
Autonomy and Learning: Own major patient-facing product surfaces end-to-end, from product strategy through technical scoping, launch, measurement, and iteration.

📍 Role Logistics
Job Type: Full-Time
Role Type: Lifecycle Marketing / CRM / AI-Native Patient Engagement / Retention / Growth
Ideal Experience Level: 6+ years, including 3+ years owning lifecycle, CRM, retention, or owned-channel growth
Location: In-Person in San Francisco, CA
US Visa Sponsorship: Yes
🚀 The Opportunity
Legion is hiring an AI Lifecycle Product and Marketing Leader to build the AI-native patient communication engine that helps people start care, stay in care, come back when they lapse, and feel personally supported across months and years of treatment.
This is not a typical lifecycle marketing job. We are not looking for someone to manage a static email calendar, build a few drip campaigns, and optimize subject lines. Legion has rich patient data, production AI, clinical workflows, scheduling events, insurance data, intake behavior, appointment history, medication renewal patterns, and care operations all inside one vertically integrated system. That means we can build something far more powerful: a personalized, proactive communication engine that knows where each patient is in their journey and automatically helps move them to the next right step.
You will build the system that makes Legion feel impossibly responsive. A patient who stalls in intake should get the right nudge. A patient who books but does not complete prep should get the right reminder. A patient at risk of missing follow-up should be guided before they lapse. A patient due for renewal should understand what to do next. A patient who churned should receive a thoughtful, relevant path back. Over time, the engine should become more intelligent, more personalized, and more autonomous.
The right person combines the lifecycle rigor of DoorDash, Instacart, Airbnb, or Sephora; the patient-journey discipline of Hims, Thirty Madison, Headway, or Talkiatry; the retention instincts of Noom, Peloton, WHOOP, or Duolingo; and the AI-native curiosity required to build communication systems that can generate, personalize, test, and improve patient journeys at scale.
This is a founding systems-builder role. You should be comfortable designing lifecycle strategy, mapping patient states, writing copy, building CRM logic, creating segments, using AI tools, QAing flows, debugging event data, launching experiments, and partnering with product, engineering, data, ops, and clinical teams to create an engine that increasingly works on its own.
✅ Responsibilities and Deliverables
Build Legion’s AI-native lifecycle engine across activation, booking, visit completion, follow-up adherence, medication renewal support, retention, reactivation, and winback.
Design the patient communication system across email, SMS, push, in-app, transactional reminders, AI-assisted outreach, and future owned channels.
Map the full patient journey into clear lifecycle states, triggers, audiences, suppressions, escalation rules, personalization rules, and next-best-action logic.
Use Legion’s patient data to create highly personalized journeys based on intake status, appointment behavior, insurance status, treatment stage, follow-up cadence, renewal needs, engagement, risk of lapse, and communication preferences.
Partner with product, engineering, and data to instrument the events, properties, data models, and workflows needed for intelligent lifecycle automation.
Build AI-assisted communication workflows that can draft, personalize, route, test, and optimize messages while staying within approved clinical, compliance, and brand guardrails.
Create proactive flows for abandoned intake, incomplete booking, pre-visit preparation, appointment reminders, no-show prevention, post-visit follow-up, refill and renewal nudges, reactivation, churn recovery, and long-term engagement.
Build segmentation and personalization systems that can support thousands of patient-specific journeys instead of one-size-fits-all campaigns.
Partner with clinical operations to ensure every message reflects real care workflows, scheduling capacity, prescribing boundaries, refill policies, escalation paths, and patient support processes.
Own lifecycle experimentation across A/B tests, holdouts, incrementality tests, send-time tests, cadence tests, channel-mix tests, AI-personalization tests, and journey-level optimization.
Improve core funnel and retention metrics, including intake completion, booking conversion, visit completion, no-show rate, follow-up adherence, reactivation rate, churn, LTV, and patient satisfaction.
Build the QA, approval, deliverability, consent, and compliance processes required for high-volume, AI-assisted healthcare communication.
Ensure HIPAA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, consent management, PHI handling, opt-outs, quiet hours, clinical accuracy, and patient trust are treated as product requirements.
Create lifecycle dashboards and weekly reporting that show where patients are getting stuck, which journeys are working, and where AI or automation can remove manual work.
Evaluate and operate tools such as Braze, Iterable, Customer.io, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Twilio, SendGrid, PostHog, Hightouch, Segment, RudderStack, Census, OpenAI, Claude, internal AI agents, or similar.
Build repeatable lifecycle playbooks that can scale across states, payers, patient segments, care pathways, and future service lines.
🏆 You’ll Be Successful If You…
Build a lifecycle engine that feels less like marketing automation and more like an intelligent patient guidance system.
Turn Legion’s data into personalized, proactive communication that helps patients take the right next action.
Meaningfully improve intake completion, booking conversion, kept visits, follow-up adherence, renewal completion, reactivation, and retention.
Reduce manual ops work by automating the right nudges, reminders, escalations, and follow-ups before patients fall through the cracks.
Make patients feel guided, cared for, and understood, not blasted by generic campaigns.
Build event-triggered journeys that move real patient behavior instead of static campaign calendars that sit inside a CRM tool.
Create AI-assisted workflows that are useful, accurate, safe, and compliant.
Build a testing culture where lifecycle performance improves every week.
Maintain extremely high QA standards so messages are accurate, well-timed, correctly personalized, and safe.
Help Legion understand which patients are stuck, likely to lapse, ready to return, due for follow-up, or likely to need additional support before the problem becomes manual.
🧰 Ideal Background and Skills
6+ years in lifecycle marketing, CRM, retention, engagement, growth marketing, patient engagement, consumer communications, or owned-channel marketing.
3+ years directly owning lifecycle programs across email, SMS, push, in-app, transactional messaging, or direct mail.
Strong preference for experience in consumer healthcare, marketplaces, subscriptions, mobile apps, fintech, consumer services, e-commerce, or other high-volume consumer businesses.
Experience building event-triggered journeys, segmentation systems, personalization logic, suppression rules, send calendars, experimentation roadmaps, and lifecycle reporting.
Hands-on fluency with CRM / marketing automation platforms such as Braze, Iterable, Customer.io, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar.
Strong AI-native operating ability. You should be excited to use LLMs, agents, data, and automation to generate better patient journeys, not just make existing workflows slightly faster.
Strong analytical judgment: funnel analysis, cohort analysis, retention curves, A/B tests, holdouts, incrementality, attribution, LTV, churn, and reactivation.
Comfort working with data and technical teams. You do not need to be an engineer, but you should understand events, properties, audiences, data quality, QA, and basic SQL or SQL-adjacent analysis.
Excellent patient-facing writing judgment. You can make a message clear, warm, action-oriented, personalized, and clinically careful without sounding robotic or promotional.
Strong product sense. You understand that lifecycle is not just marketing; it is part of the patient experience, product experience, and operations system.
Strong operational rigor around QA, deliverability, consent, localization, link checking, dynamic content, approvals, and launch readiness.
Healthcare judgment. You understand that messages about psychiatric care, medication, insurance, no-shows, refills, and follow-up must be handled with real care.
Experience partnering cross-functionally with product, engineering, data, clinical operations, customer support, compliance, legal, design, and growth.
Low ego, high ownership, and startup intensity. You can define the strategy on Monday, build the segment Tuesday, write the copy Wednesday, QA the flow Thursday, and read the results Friday.
Bonus: experience with HIPAA, TCPA, PHI handling, patient engagement, appointment reminders, medication adherence, healthcare CRM, telehealth, LLMs, AI agents, or regulated consumer products.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $140,000 – $260,000, based on experience
Early-Stage Equity: Competitive
Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision benefits
Additional Perks: In-person retreats, meal stipends, lifecycle/CRM tooling budget, learning stipend, AI tooling budget
Time Off: Flexible, unlimited vacation policy
Work Hours: Flexible, with responsiveness around high-impact launches or patient communication issues
Work Setup: In-Person in San Francisco, CA
Impact: Build the AI-native communication system that helps patients access and stay in high-quality psychiatric care.
Autonomy and Learning: Own lifecycle strategy, CRM infrastructure, patient journeys, AI-assisted personalization, experimentation, reporting, and retention systems end-to-end.
Growth Opportunities: As Legion scales, this role can grow into Head of Lifecycle, Head of CRM, Head of Patient Engagement, or a broader growth leadership role.

About the role
Legion Health is backed by Y Combinator, leading venture capital firms, and founders from Function Health, Modern Health, Everly Health, Trusted Health, Clipboard Health, PatientPing, Sesame Care, Faire, EasyPost, and fuboTV.
Join us as we build the future of health care: faster, higher-quality, and more affordable, powered by doctors and AI working together.
📍 Role Logistics
Job Type: Full-Time
Role Type: AI-Native Founders Office / GTM / Executive Operations / Business Operations / Special Projects / Chief of Staff
Ideal Experience Level: 2-7 years
Location: In-person in San Francisco
US Visa Sponsorship: Yes
🚀 The Opportunity
Legion is hiring someone unusually sharp early-career technical operator who will work directly with leadership to solve high-leverage problems across growth, revenue, finance, hiring, culture, legal, investor work, operations, and internal AI systems (Office of the Founders).
This is not an executive assistant role. It is not a traditional business operations role. And it is not a junior Chief of Staff role with a better title. It is a new kind of role for the AI-native era: a technical, high-agency generalist embedded with senior leaders to make the company dramatically faster.
You will sit close to leadership, see the company’s most important problems early, and be expected to build solutions fast. One day you might prototype an internal AI tool that saves the operations team 30 hours per week. The next day you might analyze patient reactivation, build a GTM model, improve a hiring process, automate investor reporting, draft a strategy memo, or create a workflow that helps a non-technical team specify exactly what they need before engineering gets involved.
The center of gravity is GTM and company leverage. You should constantly be asking: where are we losing patients, revenue, speed, quality, or focus, and what can I build, automate, analyze, or fix this week to move the company forward?
The best candidates are likely 0-3 years out of school, with a computer science, engineering, data science, operations research, financial engineering, applied math, statistics, economics, or similarly rigorous background. You may have early experience in consulting, banking, finance, startups, product, data, or engineering. What matters most is raw intelligence, speed, taste, grit, communication, AI fluency, and demonstrated ability to make things.
This is a career-accelerating role for someone who wants unusual exposure very early. You will be in the room for meaningful company decisions, work directly with senior leaders, get tough deadlines, and learn by doing real work that matters.
✅ Responsibilities and Deliverables
Work directly with founders and leadership on high-priority projects across GTM, growth, revenue, business operations, regulatory, finance, hiring, culture, legal, investor relations, product, and internal systems.
Drive go-to-market and revenue projects across new patient acquisition, conversion, retention, reactivation, referrals, lifecycle, pricing, patient experience, and funnel optimization.
Build AI-native tools, workflows, dashboards, scripts, agents, prototypes, and automations that help teams operate faster and better.
Rapidly prototype solutions for non-technical teams so they can clarify what they want before full engineering resources are used.
Identify bottlenecks across the company, diagnose root causes, and build fast solutions: models, dashboards, workflows, memos, trackers, experiments, or internal products.
Use AI coding and building tools like Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Replit, v0, Lovable, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, APIs, scripts, and no-code tools to move faster than a normal early-career operator.
Build internal systems for leadership: synthetic advisory boards, investor update workflows, meeting-prep agents, board-material review systems, recruiting trackers, finance dashboards, GTM dashboards, and executive decision-support tools.
Support strategic finance work: revenue models, CAC/payback analysis, hiring plans, budget scenarios, growth forecasts, investor updates, board materials, and operating reviews.
Help build Legion’s talent machine: sourcing systems, role scorecards, interview loops, candidate evaluation processes, onboarding systems, culture rituals, and performance operating rhythms.
Partner with growth, product, data, clinical operations, and leadership to analyze the patient journey: intake, booking, first visit, follow-up, renewals, retention, churn, and reactivation.
Support legal, compliance, regulatory and finance workflows with maturity and attention to detail, especially around healthcare, HIPAA, contracts, vendors, employment, patient communication, and AI sandboxes.
Write crisp memos, project plans, launch docs, investor materials, candidate materials, process docs, and internal updates that create clarity quickly.
🏆 You’ll Be Successful If You…
Become one of the people leadership trusts with ambiguous, high-priority problems.
Consistently turn vague problems into shipped work: models, tools, workflows, experiments, docs, dashboards, or decisions.
Help Legion grow revenue by improving acquisition, conversion, retention, reactivation, referrals, lifecycle, pricing, or patient experience.
Build AI-native systems that actually get adopted by the team and save meaningful time or improve quality.
Prototype solutions fast enough that projects do not sit in a six-month backlog.
Help non-technical teams become much better at specifying what they need from product and engineering.
Make senior leaders meaningfully more effective by turning ideas into working systems.
Make the company faster without making it sloppy.
Raise the bar for how everyone at Legion uses AI tools.
Bring order to chaos without creating bureaucracy.
Combine extremely high IQ with extremely high EQ: sharp thinking, low ego, clear writing, good taste, and strong emotional read of people and situations.
🧰 Ideal Background and Skills
0-3 years of experience in a high-performance environment such as consulting, investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, startup operations, product, data, engineering, or a similarly intense setting.
Strong preference for a technical or quantitative degree: computer science, engineering, data science, operations research, financial engineering, applied math, statistics, economics, or similar.
Demonstrated competency in making things and automating things. You have built projects, scripts, tools, automations, prototypes, dashboards, agents, websites, apps, analyses, or workflows that actually worked.
Deep AI-native working style. You do not just “use ChatGPT.” You use AI tools to build, analyze, automate, prototype, research, write, debug, synthesize, and move faster every day.
Ability to build lightweight tools or prototypes using some mix of Python, JavaScript, SQL, spreadsheets, APIs, no-code tools, AI coding tools, product prototyping tools, and data platforms.
Strong analytical horsepower. You can build a model, interrogate assumptions, analyze a funnel, understand unit economics, and explain what matters.
Strong GTM instincts. You care about patient growth, revenue, conversion, retention, activation, reactivation, CAC, payback, funnel dropoff, and the practical mechanics of moving numbers.
Excellent written communication. You can write a memo, investor update, recruiting note, project spec, growth analysis, operating plan, or executive summary that is crisp and useful.
Strong people judgment. You can work with founders, operators, clinicians, engineers, lawyers, candidates, investors, and vendors without losing context or trust.
Comfort with sensitive information. You can handle patient, company, legal, financial, recruiting, investor, and operational information with maturity and discretion.
High agency and low need for structure. You do not wait for someone to define the perfect project. You find leverage and go create it.
High-conviction interest in Legion. This role is intense, ambiguous, and close to leadership. It is best for someone who genuinely wants to be here and sees this as a chance to put their career on a much faster track.
🚫 This Role Is Not For You If…
You want a narrow lane with a fixed job description.
You prefer advising over doing.
You cannot figure what to do to move the needle and operate without much direction.
You are not deeply curious about AI tools.
You need engineers or analysts to answer every first-pass technical or data question.
You are uncomfortable with growth, revenue, or commercial pressure.
You optimize for looking strategic instead of creating measurable leverage.
You want prestige without intensity.
You do not want to work closely with leadership in a high-speed environment.
You are not excited to work in person, close to the team, with real urgency.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $120,000 – $210,000
Early-Stage Equity: Competitive
Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision benefits
Additional Perks: In-person retreats, meal stipends, AI tooling budget, learning stipend, home office support
Time Off: Flexible, unlimited vacation policy
Work Hours: Flexible, with responsiveness around high-priority company moments
Work Setup: In-person in San Francisco, 5 days/week strongly preferred
Impact: Work directly on the highest-leverage problems at a company trying to change health care forever.
Autonomy and Learning: Operate across growth, finance, hiring, AI systems, investors, legal, product, culture, and operations.
Growth Opportunities: This role can grow into larger roles across GTM, business operations, product operations, strategy, or company-building.

📍 Role Logistics
Job Type: Full-Time
Role Type: Brand / Consumer Marketing / Creative Strategy / Social / Communications
Ideal Experience Level: 5+ years
Location: San Francisco
US Visa Sponsorship: Yes
🚀 The Opportunity
Legion is hiring a Consumer Brand Leader to make the company one of the most trusted, memorable, and culturally resonant consumer health brands in the United States.
You will own how Legion shows up to patients, families, clinicians, creators, press, and the broader culture as we build a new category of AI-native medical care. You will translate a technically and clinically complex company into a brand people understand, believe, remember, and recommend.
This is a player-coach role. You should be comfortable owning strategy, writing campaign concepts, building the social/content operating system, reviewing creative, pressure-testing claims, reading the dashboard, and hiring the team behind you.
The right person has the healthcare trust instincts of Function, Midi, Brightside, Seed, and AG1; the brand-performance rigor of Hims, Ro, and Superpower; the product storytelling discipline of Oura and WHOOP; and the social-first creative taste of the best breakout consumer brands.
✅ Responsibilities and Deliverables
Own Legion’s consumer brand system across positioning, messaging, voice, visual identity, narrative architecture, campaign strategy, social presence, content standards, and brand governance.
Translate AI-native psychiatry, medication management, insurance-covered care, clinical quality, and regulatory complexity into simple, credible, emotionally resonant consumer storytelling.
Build Legion’s social-first creative engine across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, newsletters, short-form video, clinician-led explainers, founder content, patient education, and creator-led formats.
Develop platform-native content systems that make Legion trusted and talked about, not just posted about: recurring series, hooks, scripts, clinician explainers, myth-busting, patient journey education, behind-the-scenes care operations, founder POVs, and culturally relevant moments.
Own integrated brand campaigns across paid, owned, earned, and IRL channels, including hero campaigns, launches, PR moments, podcast/audio, YouTube, OOH tests, events, partnerships, community activations, and founder visibility.
Partner with growth to make brand measurable: branded search, direct traffic, social reach and saves, share of voice, earned media, creator performance, landing-page conversion lift, referral lift, CAC contribution, trust metrics, and brand health.
Create Legion’s trust architecture: proof points, claims hierarchy, clinical review process, AI-and-doctor messaging, safety language, patient expectation-setting, testimonial rules, and compliance-safe social proof.
Partner with clinical, legal, compliance, product, growth, data, and operations so every consumer touchpoint is fast-moving, accurate, defensible, and aligned with real care delivery.
Build a creator, expert, and community program that can scale without eroding trust: clinician voices, patient-safe stories, creator briefs, usage rights, whitelisting, medical review, disclosure standards, and performance feedback loops.
Own Legion’s editorial/content strategy around psychiatric access, anxiety, depression, medication management, refills, insurance-covered care, AI in medicine, and how to choose high-quality mental health care.
Build the brand operating system: campaign calendar, social calendar, creative review cadence, content pipeline, agency/freelance bench, production workflows, brand guidelines, measurement dashboard, and weekly brand-performance review.
Hire and manage the first consumer brand team across brand strategy, copy, design, social, content, video, PR/comms, creator partnerships, and creative operations.
Protect the brand in high-stakes moments: public responses, press narratives, sensitive healthcare topics, AI-related scrutiny, patient trust risks, and category-level conversations about the future of care.
🏆 You’ll Be Successful If You...
Make Legion one of the most trusted and recognizable consumer mental health brands in the country.
Turn a complex healthcare and AI story into a simple, compelling narrative that patients can repeat to a friend.
Build a social and content engine that consistently earns attention, saves, shares, comments, referrals, and qualified patient demand.
Ship brand campaigns that move measurable awareness, branded search, direct traffic, earned media, conversion, and patient trust.
Create a brand system that is emotionally resonant without being vague, clinically credible without being sterile, and ambitious without sounding reckless.
Build a creative culture where the work gets sharper every week: better hooks, better scripts, better landing pages, better stories, better judgment.
Make brand and performance reinforce each other instead of fighting each other.
Help patients understand what Legion does, why it is different, why it is safe, what AI does and does not do, and why doctors remain central to the care model.
Build a team and partner bench that can produce high-quality creative at startup speed without creating brand chaos.
Scale brand in a way that clinical operations can absorb without damaging patient experience, quality, provider trust, or regulatory credibility.
🧰 Ideal Background and Skills
5+ years in brand marketing, creative strategy, social/content leadership, integrated marketing, communications, or consumer marketing at a high-growth consumer, DTC, marketplace, subscription, telehealth, healthcare, wellness, fintech, or other regulated company.
3+ years leading brand, creative, social, content, or integrated campaign work with direct ownership of strategy, execution, team output, and measurable business impact.
Portfolio or case studies showing excellent consumer brand work: positioning, campaigns, social-first creative, video, founder/expert content, launch moments, editorial systems, PR narratives, or creator-led programs.
Strong brand-performance judgment: you believe brand should build trust, memory, preference, and cultural relevance, but you can also defend brand investment with metrics like branded search, direct traffic, conversion lift, CAC contribution, share of voice, earned media, and cohort quality.
Deep social and cultural fluency across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, LinkedIn, X, podcasts, newsletters, and creator ecosystems. You understand platform behavior, not just content calendars.
Excellent writing and messaging instincts: you can write headlines, scripts, founder posts, campaign briefs, creator briefs, landing page copy, press talking points, and internal strategy docs.
High creative taste across copy, design, video, motion, typography, art direction, storytelling, and brand systems. You do not need to be the best designer in the room, but you need to know what great work looks like and how to get people there.
Healthcare trust judgment: you understand that marketing medical care is not the same as selling shoes. Claims, privacy, targeting, patient stories, clinical review, expectation-setting, vulnerable audiences, and regulatory scrutiny all matter.
Experience partnering cross-functionally with growth, product, clinical, legal, compliance, PR, data, operations, and executives. You can influence without authority and keep teams aligned under pressure.
Experience managing agencies, freelancers, creators, production partners, PR partners, designers, copywriters, social leads, and/or creative strategists with clear standards and accountability.
Comfortable with tools such as Figma, Webflow/Framer, Notion, Airtable, Linear, Google Analytics, PostHog/Looker/Hex, Sprout/Brandwatch, social listening tools, project management systems, and AI tools for research, ideation, scripting, editing, synthesis, and creative iteration.
Low ego, high urgency, strong ownership. You do not need a perfect system to start producing category-defining work.
Bonus: experience at or near companies like Function Health, Hims & Hers, Ro, Superpower, Midi Health, Brightside Health, Oura, WHOOP, Seed Health, Ritual, AG1, Maven, Parsley Health, Thirty Madison, Curology, Levels, Noom, Liquid Death, OLIPOP, Poppi, e.l.f., Rhode, or another breakout consumer brand with real trust, taste, and growth pressure.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $150,000 – $270,000, based on experience
Early-Stage Equity: Competitive
Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision benefits
Additional Perks: In-person retreats, meal stipends, brand/content budget, creator budget, learning stipend
Time Off: Flexible, unlimited vacation policy
Work Hours: Flexible
Work Setup: Remote, with regular in-person founder/brand sprints
Impact: Work on something that will change health care forever.
Autonomy and Learning: Own the narrative, creative system, social engine, campaign roadmap, team, operating cadence, and brand standards end-to-end.
Growth Opportunities: As we scale, this role will naturally grow into Head of Brand / VP Brand.

About the role
Job Type: Full-Time
Role Type: Growth / Consumer Marketing / Performance Marketing
Ideal Experience Level: 5+ years
Location: San Francisco
US Visa Sponsorship: Yes
🚀 The Opportunity
Legion is hiring a Consumer Growth Leader to build the company’s direct-to-patient growth engine from early traction into a category-defining consumer health machine.
You will own the full consumer funnel: first impression, landing page, intake, eligibility, scheduling, first visit, retention, and reactivation. This is the person who makes Legion unavoidable to patients who need fast, affordable psychiatric care.
This is a player-coach role: you should be comfortable owning strategy, opening dashboards, writing ad hooks, reviewing landing pages, and hiring the team behind you.
The right person has the performance rigor of Hims/Ro, the consumer intuition of Function/Oura, the creator and UGC instincts of Seed/Curology, and the compliance judgment required to market real medical care without losing patient trust.
✅ Responsibilities and Deliverables
Own Legion’s consumer growth number across qualified leads, scheduled visits, completed visits, CAC, payback, contribution margin, LTV, retention, and reactivation.
Build and scale paid acquisition across Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, YouTube, Reddit, affiliates, podcast/audio, CTV, direct mail, and emerging channels.
Create a high-velocity performance creative engine: hooks, scripts, UGC, clinician-led explainers, testimonials, landing page angles, offer tests, and audience-specific narratives.
Build a creator and influencer program that drives measurable acquisition, not vanity awareness: whitelisting, Spark Ads, creator briefs, usage rights, clinical review, and performance iteration.
Own funnel conversion from ad to appointment: landing pages, quizzes, intake flow, insurance/price messaging, scheduling, trust modules, abandonment recovery, and A/B testing.
Build Legion’s SEO and content engine around anxiety, depression, psychiatry access, medication management, refills, insurance-covered psychiatry, and fast mental health care.
Own lifecycle marketing across email, SMS, retargeting, abandoned intake, no-show prevention, post-visit engagement, referrals, and winback.
Partner with product, data, clinical, legal, compliance, and operations to make growth fast without breaking patient trust, clinical quality, or healthcare marketing rules.
Build the growth operating system: weekly channel reviews, creative testing roadmap, CAC/payback dashboard, cohort reporting, attribution, incrementality tests, forecasting, and budget pacing.
Hire and manage the first consumer growth team across performance marketing, lifecycle, SEO/content, creative strategy, analytics, agencies, and creator partnerships.
🏆 You’ll Be Successful If You…
Build a repeatable consumer acquisition engine that can take Legion from early scale to the next order of magnitude.
Improve CAC, conversion rate, visit completion rate, and payback while increasing qualified patient volume.
Create a creative machine that ships and learns every week across paid social, creator, landing pages, and lifecycle.
Prove which channels are incremental, which are platform-reported noise, and where the next dollar should go.
Make Legion trusted by patients, not just clicked on by patients.
Translate complex psychiatric care and AI-native medicine into simple, credible, emotionally resonant consumer messaging.
Build a team and agency bench that operates with urgency, clean data, tight feedback loops, and no tolerance for vague marketing activity.
Scale growth in a way clinical operations can absorb without damaging patient experience, quality, retention, or provider trust.
🧰 Ideal Background and Skills
5+ years in consumer growth, performance marketing, or growth leadership at a high-growth consumer, DTC, marketplace, subscription, telehealth, healthcare, wellness, fintech, or regulated company.
Direct ownership of meaningful paid media budgets, ideally 7-figure+ annual spend, with clear accountability for CAC, ROAS, payback, LTV, and contribution margin.
Deep hands-on experience with paid social, especially Meta and TikTok; strong working knowledge of Google Search, YouTube, Reddit, affiliates, podcast/audio, CTV, direct mail, and emerging channels.
Strong performance creative judgment: you can write hooks, critique scripts, brief creators, identify why an ad worked, and build systems that produce high-quality creative at high volume.
Proven experience improving conversion across landing pages, onboarding, quizzes, checkout/intake flows, pricing pages, scheduling flows, and lifecycle touchpoints.
High analytical fluency: attribution, incrementality, cohort analysis, retention curves, LTV modeling, experimentation, budget pacing, and forecasting.
Comfortable with tools such as Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Ads, GA4, Segment, Mixpanel, Looker/Hex, SQL, HubSpot/Salesforce, Customer.io/Braze/Iterable, Webflow/Next.js landing pages, Optimizely/VWO, Figma, Airtable, and AI tools for creative iteration and analysis.
Experience with creator-led advertising, UGC, whitelisting, testimonials, customer stories, and compliance-safe social proof.
Healthcare judgment: you understand that patient acquisition is not the same as selling shoes. Claims, targeting, privacy, expectations, clinical review, and trust all matter.
Low ego, high urgency, founder-level ownership. You can set strategy on Monday, rewrite ad copy Tuesday, debug attribution Wednesday, and cut wasted spend Thursday.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $190,000 – $300,000, based on experience
Performance Bonus: Variable compensation tied to efficient consumer growth (optional)
Early-Stage Equity: Competitive
Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision benefits
Additional Perks: In-person retreats, meal stipends, growth budget, creator/content budget, learning stipend
Time Off: Flexible, unlimited vacation policy
Work Hours: Flexible
Work Setup: Remote, with regular in-person founder/growth sprints
Impact: Build the consumer growth engine for a company trying to change health care forever.
Autonomy and Learning: Own the metrics, budget, roadmap, team, and operating cadence end-to-end.
Growth Opportunities: As we scale, this role will naturally become VP Growth / Chief Growth Officer with strong performance.
