Treasury Manager
About the Team
The Treasury team is responsible for protecting liquidity, enabling scale, maintaining strong controls, and helping the company operate with clarity and resilience. We work across finance and operational partners to ensure funds move safely, visibility remains high, and Treasury infrastructure keeps pace with a fast-moving business. As hands-on operators and builders, we combine financial judgment with AI, automation, and data to solve problems faster, strengthen controls, and continuously improve how Treasury operates.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Treasury Manager to own and execute critical activities across OpenAI’s global treasury operations, including cash management, payments, bank account management, forecasting support, controls, and reporting.
Beyond day-to-day operations, this person will support Treasury leadership on high-impact projects such as M&A integrations, new legal entity formation, and geographic and currency expansion. They’ll also help build scalable, AI-enabled systems, workflows, and controls for a rapidly growing global business.
This is an individual contributor role with broad scope, spanning operational ownership and building an AI-native Treasury function.
This role is based in our San Francisco HQ. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In this role, you will:
Own core global treasury operations across cash positioning, payments, bank account management, portal administration, forecasting support, and FBAR preparation.
Coordinate day-to-day execution for intercompany funding, settlements, investment operations, letters of credit, guarantees, treasury close, and related accounting handoffs.
Automate and scale treasury workflows for request intake, approvals, payment tracking, bank account changes, KYC follow-up, access reviews, evidence collection, and issue resolution.
Identify recurring processes, manual pain points, duplicate work, control gaps, data-quality issues, and key-person risk, then translate them into process and technology improvements.
Leverage AI, workflow tools, treasury systems, bank platforms, ERPs, and data tools to improve monitoring, reconciliation, reporting, exception detection, and management-ready summaries.
Build and maintain SOPs, controls, KPI reporting, dashboards, trackers, and audit-ready documentation across treasury operations.
Partner with Treasury, Accounting, Tax, FP&A, AP, Payroll, Legal, Engineering, and banking partners to improve handoffs, source data, reporting, and operational visibility.
Maintain clear human accountability for payment approvals, cash movement, bank access, settlement confirmation, control evidence, and exception resolution.
Support high-impact initiatives—such as M&A integrations, new entity formation, business launches, and banking architecture changes—by developing repeatable operating playbooks and scalable workflows.
You might thrive in this role if you have:
6-8+ years of progressive treasury experience, including exposure to treasury systems or operational transformation.
Strong treasury operations experience across cash management, payments, bank administration, reconciliations, controls, and multi-entity environments.
Experience operating in a high-growth, complex, and global environment.
Demonstrated ability to build, automate, or improve operational workflows at scale.
Experience using AI, workflow tools, data tools, treasury systems, ERPs, bank platforms, or automation to improve operational scale and control quality.
Strong process-design instincts: you can map current-state workflows, identify failure points, define requirements, and build practical improvements.
Sound judgment around payment controls, bank access, auditability, confidentiality, segregation of duties, and human approval boundaries.
Comfort moving between hands-on execution and systems/process improvement.
Excellent written communication skills and the ability to turn complex operational issues into clear procedures, decision records, and action plans.

Lead Thermal Simulation Engineer
About the Team
Our Robotics team is focused on unlocking general-purpose robotics and pushing towards AGI-level intelligence in dynamic, real-world settings. Working across the entire model stack, we integrate cutting-edge hardware and software to explore a broad range of robotic form factors. We strive to seamlessly blend high-level AI capabilities with the constraints of physical systems to improve people's lives.
About the Role
We are seeking a lead thermal simulation engineer to help accelerate the design and development of next-generation robotic systems through modeling, simulation, and analysis. You will work closely with mechanical, electrical, controls, and robotics engineers to evaluate designs before hardware is built, identify risks early, and guide critical architecture decisions.
This role spans structural and thermal analysis and design across robotic subsystems including actuators, mechanisms, structures, electronics, and integrated systems. You will develop simulation workflows that improve engineering velocity, increase confidence in design decisions, and help us build more capable, reliable, and manufacturable robotic platforms.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. This role will be expected to be in office 4 days per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In this role, you will:
Perform thermal simulations to assess heat generation, cooling strategies, thermal interfaces, and system-level thermal performance
Partner with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to influence design decisions early in development
Build simulation models to evaluate robotic actuators, transmissions, mechanisms, structures, soft goods, and integrated assemblies
Correlate simulation results with physical testing and develop methodologies to improve model accuracy
Support architecture trade studies by evaluating design concepts before hardware is built
Develop simulation workflows, standards, and best practices that scale across the robotics organization
Identify technical risks and recommend design changes to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability
Support root cause investigations by combining test data, failure analysis, and simulation results
Contribute to long-term simulation capabilities including multiphysics modeling, digital twins, and system-level analysis
You might thrive in this role if you:
Enjoy using first-principles engineering and simulation to solve complex multidisciplinary problems
Are comfortable operating in ambiguous environments where simulation and design helps guide architecture decisions rather than simply validate finished designs
Have strong intuition for mechanical systems and can connect simulation results to real-world hardware behavior
Balance modeling rigor with practical engineering judgment and development speed
Enjoy collaborating closely with hardware teams and influencing products from concept through deployment
Preferred qualifications:
Experience performing thermal simulation and design of complex electromechanical systems
Proficiency with commercial CAE tools such as Simcenter 3D, Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran, LS-DYNA, COMSOL, or equivalent platforms
Experience correlating simulation models with physical test data and validation campaigns for high volume products
Familiarity with robotic systems, actuators, mechanisms, power electronics, batteries, or other highly integrated hardware systems
Experience developing simulation methodologies, automation tools, or organization-wide thermal workflows
