THE DATA ENGINEER ROLE.
We're looking for a Data Engineer who can build and scale the infrastructure powering our data platform, with a strong foundation in distributed systems and cloud-native tooling. You'll design and operate the pipelines that move, process, and prepare multi-terabyte and streaming datasets — including audio and video — for Reality Defender's detection models, and you'll work closely with ML engineers and researchers to keep that data flowing reliably at scale. Responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and operate large-scale data processing pipelines handling multi-terabyte and streaming datasets, including audio/video transcoding, feature extraction, and preprocessing workflows.
- Deploy, scale, and troubleshoot containerized workloads on Kubernetes and AWS in production environments.
- Build and maintain distributed data processing jobs using frameworks such as Spark and Ray.
- Design and operate workflow orchestration systems (e.g., Airflow) with dependency management, retries, monitoring, and alerting for production pipelines.
- Administer and tune enterprise databases, including performance tuning, backup/recovery, access control, and scaling strategies.
- Partner with ML engineers and researchers to support training pipelines, model retraining triggers, feature stores, and other MLOps workflows.
WHO YOU ARE.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS, including deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting containerized workloads in production environments.
- Proficiency with high-performance/distributed computing frameworks such as Spark and Ray for processing large-scale datasets.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow (or comparable systems like Dagster, Prefect, or Luigi) to schedule and manage complex data pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; experience with Golang is a plus.
- Demonstrated track record building and operating large-scale data processing pipelines, ideally handling multi-terabyte or streaming datasets.
- Experience working with audio or video data at scale is a strong plus (e.g., transcoding, feature extraction, or preprocessing pipelines).
- Familiarity with common data transformation patterns applied to large datasets (ETL/ELT, batch and stream processing, data validation and quality checks).
- Experience designing and maintaining job orchestration systems, including dependency management, retries, monitoring, and alerting for production pipelines.
- Bonus: experience orchestrating machine learning workflows (training pipelines, model retraining triggers, feature stores, or MLOps tooling).

THE TECHNICAL ACCOUNT MANAGER ROLE.
Reality Defender is hiring a Technical Account Manager to be the technical backbone of our customer relationships. This role reports to the Director of Customer Support and works closely with Engineering and Product to keep our enterprise, financial, and government customers confident in what our platform tells them. You'll own the technical health of a portfolio of accounts — from onboarding and integration through ongoing support — and you'll be a critical link between what customers experience in the field and what we build next.
Responsibilities include:
- Own onboarding, integration support, and ongoing technical health for a portfolio of customer accounts
- Set up and configure customer integrations directly — API auth, webhooks, sandbox environments
- Reproduce and diagnose integration failures — tracing API calls, reading logs and stack traces, isolating whether an issue is customer-side config, network/infra, or a product bug
- Translate model behavior into plain language for customers — explaining confidence scores, detection limitations, and edge cases clearly and accurately
- Drive technical escalations end-to-end, coordinating with Engineering and setting clear expectations with customers until resolution
- Write and debug integration code snippets to unblock a stuck implementation or demonstrate a fix
- Build documentation, runbooks, and integration guides that reduce repeat questions and let the relationship scale beyond you
- Flag at-risk accounts early, before a technical issue becomes a trust or retention issue
- Partner with Product and Engineering to turn field patterns — false positives/negatives, integration friction, feature gaps — into actionable input
- Support pre-sales and renewal conversations with technical credibility when needed
- Contribute to internal enablement so the broader CS team can handle more technical questions without escalation
WHO YOU ARE.
- You have 4+ years in a technical account management, solutions engineering, or senior technical support role, ideally with API-based or ML/AI products
- You can independently stand up an API integration — auth, webhooks, sandbox/test calls — and debug it when it breaks, using tools like Postman/curl, log traces, and basic scripting (Python or similar). You don't wait for engineering to tell you where the failure is; you find it first.
- You have a track record of owning relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at the same account
- You've worked cross-functionally with engineering and product, and you know how to turn complaints into signal they can act on
- You have good judgment under ambiguity — you're often the first to know something's wrong before there's a clean explanation for it
Preferred, but not required:
- You have a background in trust & safety, security, fraud, or content moderation
- You have experience with computer vision, ML model behavior, or working alongside data science teams
- You've built or debugged a webhook-based integration, OAuth/API key flow, or SDK implementation from scratch
- You've worked at a startup where you built the process rather than inherited one

We're looking for someone who can move seamlessly from customer problems to interaction design to production-ready prototypes — the connective tissue between product strategy, design, and engineering. Responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end UX design and rapid prototyping for new product initiatives, from concept through implementation-ready design
- Build interactive, near-production-quality prototypes using React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks to validate ideas before full engineering investment
- Partner with Engineering to validate technical feasibility early and reduce handoff friction
- Help establish and evolve reusable UI patterns, components, and Reality Defender's broader design system
- Advocate for usability, accessibility, and thoughtful interaction design across the platform
- Work alongside Product Managers to define customer experiences before development begins
- Facilitate cross-team alignment by making complex ideas tangible through prototypes and visual storytelling

CUSTOMER SUPPORT ENGINEER ROLE.
As a Customer Support Engineer, you'll be the primary technical point of contact for our enterprise, financial services, and government customers as they integrate and run Reality Defender's deepfake detection platform day to day. This role combines practical technical troubleshooting with customer success responsibilities: you will resolve issues while also building relationships and increasing account visibility to ensure our customers remain successful and continue to renew.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise customers' day-to-day technical questions, troubleshooting, and API integration issues.
- Own support tickets end-to-end: triage, diagnose, escalate to engineering when needed, and follow through until resolved.
- Support onboarding and implementation for new customers, including API setup, configuration, and integration testing.
- Partner with customer success and sales to monitor account health, flag risk early, and bring technical credibility to renewal and expansion conversations.
- Build and maintain internal documentation, FAQs, and troubleshooting runbooks to reduce repeat tickets and speed up resolution.
- Relay recurring customer feedback and technical pain points to product and engineering to inform the roadmap.
- Track support metrics (response time, resolution time, CSAT) and flag trends that need attention.
WHO YOU ARE.
- 2-4 years of experience in customer support, technical support, or customer success at a B2B SaaS or API-based company.
- Comfortable with technical troubleshooting (APIs, integrations, logs) as well as owning the relationship side of an account.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate technical detail for both engineers and business stakeholders.
- Experience supporting enterprise, financial services, or public sector customers is a plus.
- Based in Europe, able to support customers across European business hours.
