ABOUT RUNLAYER
AI is transforming how every company operates, but most enterprises are stuck. They want to move fast with AI Agents, tools, and workflows, but they can't do it safely. We're fixing that.
Our team built AI Actions for OpenAI, shipped Zapier Agents to millions of users, and launched the first remote MCP server with Anthropic. We helped establish the protocol, and now we're building the platform enterprises need to actually put AI to work.
Runlayer is one platform for MCPs, Skills, and Agents: purpose-built security, fine-grained governance, and complete observability so organizations can go all-in on AI across the entire company without the risk. We just raised a $30M Series A led by Felicis, with participation from Khosla Ventures, bringing our total raised to $42M. Already trusted by Gusto, Instacart, Opendoor, dbt Labs, and Decagon.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll own quality and testability for Runlayer Endpoint across macOS, Windows, Linux, enterprise device-management platforms, and AI clients.
This is a senior, hands-on engineering role combining exploratory testing, release qualification, and test-infrastructure development. You’ll build scalable, agent-driven testing systems for a complex cross-platform product and help ensure every release is reliable in real enterprise environments.

- Integrate automated quality signals into CI and release workflows
- Reproduce customer issues and turn confirmed incidents into permanent regression tests
- Partner with engineers to improve product diagnostics, observability, and testability
- Define testability and coverage standards for new platforms, clients, and features
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Senior-level experience owning QA automation or test infrastructure
- Strong engineering skills in Python and system scripting such as Bash and PowerShell
- Hands-on experience testing software across macOS, Windows, and Linux
- Experience with endpoint management, MDM, device labs, or comparable fleet orchestration
- Experience testing native installation, upgrades, background services, permissions, credentials, and OS configuration
- Strong knowledge of integration, end-to-end, stateful, and combinatorial testing
- Ability to distinguish product defects from infrastructure failures and flaky tests
- Experience building reliable CI-driven systems with useful diagnostics and test artifacts
- Clear technical judgment and excellent bug reporting
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Intune, Jamf Pro, Kandji, SimpleMDM, Mosyle, or Workspace ONE
- Experience testing endpoint-security or fleet-management products
- Familiarity with MCP and AI coding clients
- Experience building testing tools for AI agents
- Experience with native packaging and signing on macOS, Windows, or Linux
- Experience with fault injection, change-impact analysis, or combinatorial test generation
WHAT WE OFFER

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Integrations Engineer, you'll own Runlayer's coverage surface: making every AI client, agent framework, and MCP server work first-class through the control plane. Coverage is the product, so you'll own integrations end to end, from design and launch through monitoring and debugging, and catch breaks before customers do. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role, and you'll help shape how the integrations function works as it grows.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: Coverage is the product; you'll make every AI client, agent framework, and MCP server work first-class through Runlayer.
- Excellence: Work alongside engineers who helped establish MCP and ship fast.
- Ownership: Own integrations end to end, from design and launch to monitoring, on-call, and incident response.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the full lifecycle of integrations: design, build, launch, monitor, and debug connectors across clients, agent frameworks, and MCP servers.
- Make every major AI client (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex, Copilot, and the long tail) work first-class through Runlayer, from auth to policy enforcement, hooks, and session extraction.
- Give agents built on any ADK (Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, Google ADK, and whatever ships next) identity, governance, and observability, including agent accounts and attributing MCP calls to the agents that made them.
- Keep 50+ third-party MCP connectors reliable: catch upstream breaks and auth regressions before customers hit them, and guide admins safely through migrations (URL changes, stdio-to-deploy, forced re-auth, scope changes).
- Own reliability end to end: coverage smoke-tests on every release, monitoring, and fast debugging under real-time customer pressure.
- Build the OAuth broker (the TypeScript/Express service managing OAuth 2.1 flows for third-party servers) and the tooling that scaffolds, validates, and publishes new integrations with little manual work.
- Work cross-functionally with product, partnerships, and customers, and help shape how the integrations function grows.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years building integrations, SDKs, or developer-platform connectors, with strong opinions on partner API design.
- Expert-level OAuth 2.1: you've implemented authorization servers, token brokers, or complex multi-provider OAuth flows.
- Agent-ecosystem fluency: you've built or operated MCP servers and shipped on at least one agent framework, and can explain transports, tool schemas, and session lifecycle from experience.
- Strong TypeScript and Python.
- You've built integration test suites that run against real third-party APIs with auth.
- An operational mindset: you own systems in production, treat reliability as first-class, and can trace an issue from a customer report through logs and API responses to root cause.
- You've maintained a catalog or marketplace of third-party integrations, with versioning, deprecation, and migration patterns.
- AI-native workflow: you delegate real work to agents daily
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Contributions to the MCP spec or to an agent framework.
- Experience running or scaling a partner / integrations engineering function.
- Familiarity with enterprise identity (SSO, SCIM) and policy enforcement.
WHAT WE OFFER
We provide a competitive package designed to attract and retain top talent who can work effectively with enterprise customers.
- Competitive salary and equity — compensation that reflects your expertise and customer-facing responsibilities.
- Paid time off — paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid parental leave.

- Top-tier equipment — your choice of laptop and accessories to create your ideal work environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Regional Sales Director for the West, you'll lead and grow Runlayer's sales motion across the Western US. You'll take over an existing team of AEs and book of business from day one, then hire and build your own team from there. Reporting to the VP of GTM, you'll be hands-on as both a coach and a closer; running a disciplined operating rhythm, developing rising talent, and winning complex, multi-stakeholder deals with security and engineering buyers. This is an early-stage, build-from-the-ground-up role for someone who's done it before and wants to do it again.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: Build the region that proves how AI-first enterprises buy security and governance.
- Excellence: Lead a team of A-players and partner closely with field engineering and leadership on every deal.
- Ownership: Start with an existing book and team, and own how the West scales from day one.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of AEs, and build a culture where great people want to stay.
- Take over an existing team and book of business, then hire and build out your own team, keeping a strong bench in play.
- Own regional go-to-market strategy: territory planning, pipeline health, multi-threaded executive alignment, and close plans.
- Own the operating cadence: forecasting, pipeline inspection, deal reviews, and weekly coaching.
- Win complex, multi-stakeholder deals by aligning field engineering, product, and partnerships to move them forward.
- Build relationships with technical buyers (security and engineering leaders) and economic buyers (VPs and C-suite).
- Partner with marketing on targeted programs and field events like executive dinners, and work with customers on renewal and expansion.
- Translate what you hear in the field into concrete input on product, pricing, and packaging.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Directly managed AEs and have a track record of hitting team targets.
- You've personally closed at the highest level, and can still get in the room and move a deal.
- Startup sales leadership experience, ideally building an early-stage region from zero; a builder mindset, not just a big-company operator.
- Genuine early-stage appetite: you want to build something from the ground up again.
- Command of enterprise sales methodology with rigor around pipeline hygiene, coverage, and forecast accuracy.
- Comfortable selling into technical audiences: you earn the trust of security and engineering buyers.
- A coaching-first leadership style and strong judgment on talent and culture fit.
- You set a high bar and a hard pace, without losing the fun that makes people want to stay.
- Enterprise SaaS and AI experience preferred; we're industry-agnostic, but that combo is ideal.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience selling complex platforms in security, infrastructure, DevOps, or data.
- A mix of startup/scaleup and larger-company experience, with small-org exposure in your recent roles.
- Experience building regional playbooks: territory design and field/ABM co-motion with marketing.
- Familiarity with the MCP and AI agents infrastructure space.
WHAT WE OFFER
We provide a competitive package designed to attract and retain top talent who can work effectively with enterprise customers.
- Competitive salary and equity — compensation that reflects your expertise and customer-facing responsibilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Founding PM for the Control Plane, you'll own one governance plane for the full agent lifecycle: every MCP, skill, plugin, and agent, governed and observable across every surface an agent can touch. Today agents sprawl across every platform with little oversight; you'll build the one layer that sits between their agentic harnesses and the hundreds of SaaS apps their agents reach.
You'll work directly with the CPO, owning the roadmap from discovery through shipped product.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: Own the control plane that lets enterprises adopt AI agents without losing control.
- Excellence: Work closely with founders who helped establish MCP and ship fast.
- Ownership: Own the full control-plane surface end to end, from discovery through shipped product.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the control-plane surface: discovery, visibility, deep session, real-time controls, and agent IAM.
- Run discovery with security and IT buyers and the developers and agents who hit the proxy, turning signals into a ranked roadmap.
- Make decisions, prioritize the roadmap, and ship with engineers weekly.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 8+ years in product management, including 3+ on security, infrastructure, or identity/IAM products.
- Founder or early-PM experience; you've built product processes from zero.
- Fluency with the buyer/user split: the CISO/IT team who buys governance and the developer or agent who lives under it.
- Technical depth: you read code and reason about proxies, policy engines, OAuth/identity, and audit pipelines.
- Customer obsession: you run your own discovery calls and can name five customers from your last role by first name.
- Strong writing; you make your case in clear PRDs, not slide decks.
- AI-native, with real opinions on how agents and tools should be governed.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on building of MCP and how agents call tools in production.
- Background in detection and response, DLP/PII/PHI, secrets/vault, or compliance-driven enterprise sales (SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST).
- Shipped observability or policy products where winning meant covering more, in more detail, than anyone else.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Founding PM for Agents, you'll own where agents and skills get built, shipped, and run at scale, the growth engine of our customers. That means the fastest path from an idea to a working agent or skill, for engineers and non-technical builders alike, plus everything that happens once it's built: agents running on schedules and triggers, calling each other, governed by Runlayer underneath, and getting better over time.
You'll work directly with the CPO, owning the roadmap from discovery through shipped product.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE

ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Head of Channel Sales, you'll build a new revenue engine for Runlayer through the cybersecurity reseller, value-added reseller, and partner ecosystem. You'll own the channel motion end-to-end, from initial relationship development through commercial structure, enablement, and revenue realization.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: You will open and scale an entirely new line of business for Runlayer. The channel is where some of the most strategic enterprise security buyers transact, and you are the person who unlocks it.
- Excellence: You'll work directly with the VP of Go-to-Market, the CEO, and the Account Executive team to position Runlayer with the partners who already have deep relationships across the Fortune 500.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build the channel from the ground up. Define Runlayer's channel strategy, identify the partners that matter most, and stand up the relationships, programs, and processes that will scale.
- Activate your network on day one. Use existing relationships across the cybersecurity reseller and VAR community to accelerate adoption of Runlayer and shorten the time to first revenue.
- Map and prioritize the ecosystem. Identify which resellers, VARs, and partner organizations align with Runlayer's enterprise customer base and prioritize where to invest first.
- Own the commercial relationship. Lead negotiations, structure partner agreements, and manage the full commercial lifecycle with each partner.
- Educate partners on Runlayer. Equip partner-side sellers, solutions engineers, and account teams with the knowledge they need to position Runlayer effectively.
- Drive partner-sourced revenue. Own the channel pipeline and revenue target, and report against it.
- Facilitate introductions and co-selling motions. Bridge partner relationships into Runlayer's direct sales team to drive joint enterprise opportunities.
- Partner cross-functionally. Work with Go-to-Market, Marketing, Product, and Operations to ensure partners are supported through every stage of the customer lifecycle.

As our Head of Field Engineering, you'll build and lead the team responsible for the technical side of Runlayer's customer motion. You'll own Forward Deployed Engineering end-to-end, taking the function from three engineers today to ten by year-end and into a multi-region organization in the year that follows.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: You will define how Runlayer's customers move from initial interest to enterprise-wide deployment, owning the team that converts pilots into production at the world's most demanding companies.
- Excellence: You'll partner directly with the CEO, CPO, and VP of Go-to-Market to build the technical playbook that takes a customer from first touch to thousands of seats deployed.
- Ownership: You'll recruit, hire, ramp, and lead the team; build the onboarding program; codify operational standards; and establish the technical best practices that scale with the business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and lead the Forward Deployed Engineering team. Recruit, hire, and onboard the next seven Forward Deployed Engineers, with continued hiring through the following year.
- Establish the onboarding program. Define how new Forward Deployed Engineers ramp on the product, demo motion, pilot execution, and customer engagement standards.
- Bring operational rigor to the existing team. Codify how the team moves a customer from initial interest to a thousand-plus seat deployment, with consistent quality and predictable outcomes.
- Define the technical playbook for enterprise deployments. Develop the practices that govern how Runlayer is integrated, configured, and scaled inside large enterprise environments.
- Partner across the leadership team. Work closely with Go-to-Market, Product, and Engineering leadership on team design, compensation structure, territory model, and customer health.
- Scale the function programmatically. In year two, hire regional leaders, operate through them, and stand up a repeatable execution layer underneath.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Senior operating experience. Ten or more years of relevant professional experience, including significant time in senior individual contributor and leadership roles within technical, customer-facing organizations.
- Strong technical foundation. A degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field from a strong undergraduate program.
- Practitioner background. Direct experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or in a comparable technical customer-facing capacity. You've done the work yourself before leading others doing it.
- Early-stage operating experience. Time spent at an early-stage startup, where you've built a function or team from the ground up.
- Experience at a category leader. Time at an established, top-tier technology company (such as Databricks, Snowflake, Palantir, Salesforce, or similar) where you've seen world-class execution at scale.
- Proven people leadership. Track record of hiring, managing, and developing high-performing teams of technical individual contributors.
- Independent execution. History of operating successfully in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and delivering against defined outcomes.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience at a company that reached a meaningful liquidity event, such as an IPO or strategic acquisition.
- Background in revenue operations or sales operations.
- Prior experience as a software engineer.
- Experience managing managers, or a demonstrated trajectory toward that scope.
