About Sapiom
Sapiom is the end-to-end platform that removes barriers to ship and scale agentic products.
We unify everything an agent needs to act in the world: compute and sandboxes, memory, identity, domains and DNS, spend controls, browser automation, web search and deep research, databases, storage, queues, messaging, image generation, voice, enrichment, verification, and monitoring provisioned together as one thing, not handed over as a framework for builders to assemble themselves. Pricing is just as simple: a plan, a generous free tier, pay for what you use when you use it.
We have assembled a world-class team with deep infrastructure and payments DNA to build the operating system for machines. Backed by $55M in capital from Dragonfly, Accel, Menlo, and Anthropic, we are moving with relentless focus to allow builders to ship and scale agentic products.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Staff AI Platform Engineer, you'll help define the technical direction of the platform from the ground up. You'll architect distributed systems that power AI agents in production, establish engineering best practices, and partner closely with leadership to shape both the technology and the company.
This is an opportunity to join early and have an outsized impact on the architecture, culture, and product strategy of an AI infrastructure company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Architect the core platform that powers AI agents in production.
- Design distributed systems for agent orchestration, execution, memory, tool calling, workflow coordination, and communication.
- Build reliable infrastructure that enables AI agents to operate safely and efficiently across enterprise environments.
- Lead the technical design of foundational platform capabilities, balancing performance, reliability, extensibility, and developer experience.
- Drive architecture decisions across backend systems, APIs, infrastructure, and AI runtime services.
- Establish engineering standards for scalability, observability, security, and operational excellence.
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate emerging AI capabilities into production-ready platform features.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, technical guidance, and hands-on collaboration.
- Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through production.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS
- 8+ years of experience building large-scale backend systems, distributed systems, or developer platforms.
- Experience operating technical leadership at the Staff or Principal Engineer level, or demonstrated equivalent scope and impact.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Typescript, or similar languages.
- Experience building developer platforms, SDKs, or API-first products that prioritize reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
- Experience working with modern AI systems, including LLMs, tool calling, structured outputs, retrieval, or agentic workflows.
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to simplify complex technical problems.
- A track record of driving technical strategy while remaining hands-on.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, workflow engines, or distributed execution systems.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience building production AI agent platforms or orchestration frameworks.
- Familiarity with LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, CrewAI, AutoGen, Temporal, or similar orchestration technologies.
- Experience with vector databases, retrieval systems, and knowledge infrastructure.
- Experience with LLM serving technologies such as vLLM, SGLang, or TensorRT-LLM.
- Contributions to open-source infrastructure or AI projects.
WHY SAPIOM
We're building the infrastructure that will power the next generation of AI applications.
Rather than building a single AI product, we're creating the platform developers use to build intelligent, autonomous systems that can coordinate work, integrate with enterprise software, and execute complex workflows reliably.
As one of the earliest senior engineers, you'll have significant influence over our architecture, engineering culture, and product direction. You'll help define the technical foundation of a company solving some of the hardest problems in production AI.

We have assembled a world-class team with deep infrastructure and payments DNA to build the operating system for machines. Backed by $55M in capital from Dragonfly, Accel, Menlo, and Anthropic, we are moving with relentless focus to allow builders to ship and scale agentic products.
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to build the growth engine for a category-defining infrastructure company — from scratch, at the moment it matters most. The ideal candidate is a sharp, execution-oriented marketer who’s fluent in both developer audiences and performance channels, and who thrives when the playbook doesn’t exist yet. You’ll own the full acquisition and retention loop — from first impression to activated user — partnering closely with the Head of Marketing to define how Sapiom shows up in the world.
What You Will Do
You’ll drive Sapiom’s growth across every channel that matters — demand gen, content, SEO, and developer community — building the systems and campaigns that move developers and enterprise buyers from awareness to activation. You’ll own the editorial and content strategy that establishes Sapiom’s voice in the agentic AI conversation, while running paid programs with the rigor and creativity to compound over time. You’ll work in close partnership with the Head of Marketing and collaborate across product and engineering to turn platform milestones into growth moments. The goal: a predictable, scalable pipeline built on a foundation of genuine developer trust and category authority.
Responsibilities
- Own demand generation — build and run multi-channel campaigns across paid, organic, and community that drive qualified pipeline and measurable activation.
- Define and ship the content and SEO strategy — producing technical and thought-leadership content that earns distribution and establishes Sapiom as the authoritative voice on AI agent infrastructure.
- Build and grow Sapiom’s presence in developer and AI/ML communities — engaging authentically across forums, events, and platforms where builders spend time.
- Partner with product and engineering to turn launches and milestones into growth moments — owning go-to-market execution for new features and integrations.
- Establish the metrics and reporting infrastructure for marketing — defining what good looks like across acquisition, activation, and retention, and holding the function accountable to it.
Requirements
- Demonstrated track record growing developer-facing or API-first products — with a genuine understanding of how technical buyers discover, evaluate, and adopt infrastructure tools.
- Hands-on experience running demand gen and paid acquisition programs with measurable results — not just oversight, but direct ownership of strategy, spend, and iteration.
- Strong content and SEO instincts — able to build an editorial calendar, write or direct compelling technical content, and understand how to earn organic distribution in a technical niche.
- Experience building community or developer presence — whether through events, Discord, social, or co-marketing with ecosystem partners.
- Early-stage startup experience — comfortable operating without established systems, defining the function as much as executing it.
- Fintech, payments, or developer tools background — meaningful context for the infrastructure layer Sapiom is building and the audiences it serves.
- Data-driven operator — able to instrument campaigns, read the numbers clearly, and translate findings into fast iteration cycles.

About the Role
As our Developer Relations, you'll sit at the intersection of community, product, and engineering — equal parts builder, communicator, and champion for the developers who use Sapiom. You'll cultivate authentic relationships across AI/ML and developer communities, producing content that helps developers understand agentic commerce and how to build with our platform, while serving as the internal voice of the developer — surfacing friction points, refining APIs, and being the loudest internal advocate for fixing what's broken. You'll design and build compelling demo agents and sandbox environments that go beyond marketing assets, and own the full developer journey from first discovery through production deployment — crafting onboarding flows, building enablement resources, and turning partner wins into case studies that inspire the next wave of builders.
What you will do
You'll build Sapiom's presence among AI agent builders and LLM developers — serving as the connective tissue between developers and our product team. The goal: a thriving cohort of developers who don't just leverage Sapiom, but build remarkable things with it publicly.
Responsibilities
- Ship products, tools, and content that developers actually adopt, drawing on firsthand experience as an engineer, DevRel, or technical founder to deeply understand and empathize with the developer experience.
- Engage authentically with the builder community — whether debugging edge cases on Discord, hosting hackathons, or supporting developers wherever they need it most.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and simply across writing, stage presentations, and 1:1 conversations, producing documentation people read and content people share.
- Stay at the forefront of AI and LLM development, actively experimenting with agentic applications and maintaining a deep understanding of why financial infrastructure for agents is a meaningful problem to solve.
- Define and execute this function with autonomy — as an early hire, you'll shape what Developer Advocacy looks like at Sapiom as much as you'll deliver it.
- Maintain a public builder presence through GitHub, a technical blog, conference talks, open-source contributions, or social media, bringing an existing community or the credibility to build one fast.
- Synthesize developer feedback from across channels into clear, actionable product requirements that drive meaningful improvements to the Sapiom platform.
Requirements
- Proven experience with software products, tools, or developer-facing content, with a strong understanding of APIs, SDKs, and technical documentation best practices.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic applications, with the ability to build production-quality demo agents and sandbox environments.
- Comfortable across the developer toolchain — GitHub, SDKs, developer portals, and community platforms like Discord.
- Exceptional communicator — able to distill complex concepts into clear, engaging content across writing, presentations, and 1:1 conversations.
- Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity, thriving in early-stage environments where you define the function as much as execute it.
- Genuine passion for developer communities with a public builder presence — open-source contributions, a technical blog, conference talks, or social media.
- Strong synthesizer — able to take disparate developer feedback and translate it into clear, actionable insights for product and engineering teams.
