Support annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
Conduct market, customer, competitor, and operational analyses to inform strategic decisions
Prepare business reviews, executive presentations, and board materials
Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, products, or market expansion initiatives
Translate leadership priorities into clear workstreams, owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes
Support special projects related to fundraising, pricing, organizational design, or company-wide transformation
Help establish scalable operating practices across teams and functions
Common Qualifications
While each startup has unique needs, strong Business Operations Managers in our network typically have:
4+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, finance, product operations, corporate development, or a related function
Prior experience in a venture-backed startup, high-growth technology company, consulting firm, investment firm, or similarly fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous questions
Experience using data to develop recommendations and influence business decisions
Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership
Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and comfort working with business intelligence tools
Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills
A hands-on, low-ego operating style and willingness to work beyond a narrowly defined scope
Experience with financial modeling, KPI development, or strategic planning may be helpful, depending on the role
