The Staff Accountant will be responsible for core financial reporting functions. The Staff Accountant role is located in Lexington, MA and will report to the Director of Accounting & Finance. This position will require proven accounting experience, critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, desire to leverage technology to drive efficiencies and strong communication/collaboration skill.Job Responsibilities:· Manage general ledger accounting functions and ensure a timely and accurate month-end close.· Perform and maintain account reconciliations and be able to identify and resolve discrepancies.· Manage full cycle Accounts Payable functions, including maintaining Purchase orders.· Payroll Processing across all entities on a Bi-weekly, Semi monthly and monthly cadences.· Implement process automation and efficiencies.· Ensure compliance with GAAP.· Collaborate and support FP&A in preparing the annual budget and financial forecasts.· Support external audit and tax preparation.· Assist in implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.· Post journal entries.· Reviewing Avalara and NetSuite for multistate sales and use tax filings.· Cross train on all accounting functions to provide backup as needed.
