Sleeper is where millions of sports fans play fantasy, make picks, and follow the games together. We've built a product people love — and now we're building the lifecycle program to match it.
This is a rare zero-to-one role, embedded directly with our product team. Every automated journey — onboarding, activation, retention, win-back — is yours to design and build. You'll own the strategy and the execution, from segmentation logic to the copy that ships.
You'll sit with product because lifecycle is product here: the moments that matter happen in the app, and your work shapes how users discover, adopt, and stick with what we build.
What you'll do
Build out and optimize our lifecycle program in Braze — canvases for onboarding, activation, retention, and reactivation across push, email, and in-app.
Strengthen email as a channel. Own email deliverability end to end: domain warm-up, list hygiene, and engagement-based sending.
Own segmentation and targeting. Define audiences from behavioral data, and partner with data and engineering to get the events and attributes you need instrumented.
Run real experiments. Holdouts, incrementality, and A/B tests — measure lift, not vanity metrics.
Drive lifecycle for tentpole moments — season kickoffs, competitions, and product launches — partnering closely with PMs, design, and marketing.
Set the operating standards: naming conventions, QA, frequency capping, and how we decide what's worth sending.
What we're looking for
3-5 years in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing, with meaningful ownership of a consumer program.
Deep hands-on Braze experience (or comparable: Iterable, Airship, Customer.io) — you've built multi-step, branching journeys yourself, not just briefed them.
Strong grasp of email deliverability — sender reputation, authentication, and engagement-based sending. Bonus if you've personally run a domain warm-up or deliverability recovery.
Analytically rigorous. Comfortable in the data, designing holdouts, and telling incremental lift from correlation.
A builder's bias. You're energized by a blank slate and can go from strategy to shipped without waiting for a team.
Clear writer. You can write a push notification that gets tapped and an email that gets opened.
Collaborative with product and engineering — you can scope an instrumentation ask and see it through.
Bonus points
Experience with in-app messaging and push, not just email
Experience in — or genuine passion/ curiosity for — sports, fantasy, DFS, gaming, or another real-money/regulated consumer product
Familiarity with responsible-gaming or compliance-aware messaging
SQL, and comfort working directly with a data warehouse
You're a sports fan who actually uses products like ours
Why this role
You won't be optimizing someone else's program — you'll be defining ours. High autonomy, a direct line to the product team, and measurable impact on activation, retention, and revenue.
Listed by Sleeper for a position based in the United States. Employers on this board attest they are hiring domestically.
We're building out a roster of contract AI Content Creators to help us scale content production using the latest AI video, image, and audio generation tools. This is a hands-on creative role for people who are already deep in the AI tooling space — or eager to live there — and who can turn a generation budget into a steady output of high-performing social content.
You'll be operating at the intersection of creative production, prompt engineering, and growth marketing. We move fast, ship daily, and care more about output that performs than output that's “perfect.”
This is a part-time, contracting role where compensation will be paid out $500/monthly.
What You'll Do
Produce a high volume of AI-generated short-form video, image, and audio content for distribution across social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X)
Build and maintain consistent visual identities across content series — keeping characters, settings, and aesthetics on-model across hundreds of generations
Own end-to-end production: ideation, prompting, generation, light editing, captioning, and publishing
Manage and grow social accounts as part of the role — including posting cadence, comment/DM engagement, and basic community management
Iterate quickly based on performance data — double down on what's working, kill what isn't
Track what's trending in AI-generated content broadly and bring formats and ideas to the team
Collaborate with our internal growth team on briefs, narrative angles, and distribution strategy
What We're Looking For
Required
Strong portfolio of content you've personally created using AI tools (we want to see the actual work, not just claims)
Hands-on experience with at least 2–3 of: Higgsfield, Veo, Runway, Kling, Seedance, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, Suno, CapCut, or comparable tools
Demonstrated ability to maintain visual/character consistency across multi-shot AI-generated content
Strong instincts for pacing, hooks, storytelling, and internet-native content formats
Comfort with iterative prompt engineering — knowing when to tweak the prompt vs. swap the model vs. start over
Experience running social accounts (your own or for a brand) with a clear understanding of what drives reach, engagement, and follower growth on at least one major platform
Self-directed work style — you can take a loose brief and ship without heavy oversight
Ability to produce daily, on a consistent cadence
Nice to Have
Background in performance marketing, growth, or paid social
Familiarity with platform-specific algorithm dynamics and trending audio/format detection
Comfort with AI agent tools (Claude, ChatGPT projects, automation workflows) to scale your own throughput
Light video editing chops in CapCut, Premiere, or DaVinci
What does success look like?
Shipping content that earns attention - measured through views, watch time, shares, follower growth, click-throughs, and repeatable content formats that can scale.
How We Work
Async-first, with weekly creative syncs
Generation tool budgets and platform access provided
Direct line to a small, fast-moving in-house team — no agency layers
Strong performers will see expanded scope, higher rates, and longer-term engagements
How to Apply
Send the following:
A short note on what you're currently building or experimenting with in AI content
Links to 3–5 pieces of AI-generated content you've personally produced (links to accounts you've grown count double)
We review applications on a rolling basis.

Contribute thoughtful code reviews and help strengthen backend engineering best practices and standards.
Who You Are
5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
Proven ability to build and scale distributed systems that serve millions of users in real-time or gaming environments.
Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Go, Python, Node.js, Java), and an understanding of trade-offs between them.
Solid knowledge of databases (both SQL and NoSQL), caching strategies, and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub).
Comfortable designing and maintaining RESTful and/or graphql APIs, data models, and internal tooling.
Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or similar), with familiarity with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes a plus).
Strong product mindset—you care about the why, not just the how, and you build with users in mind.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus: Proficiency in Elixir
Bonus: Passion for sports, gaming, or building multiplayer or real-time systems.

About Sleeper:
Sleeper is one of the fastest growing sports platforms in the US. As the leader in Fantasy Sports, Sleeper’s product portfolio includes a variety of free-to-play Fantasy Sports and real money Daily Fantasy Sports (“DFS”) games and applications. Our growing list of titles spans a diverse range of sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA/WNBA, MLB, NHL, EURO, and other soon-to-be released offerings.
We are seeking a Data Scientist with relevant DFS or Sportsbook experience to help support our risk and trading function.
Responsibilities:
Support risk and liability management with respect to Sleeper’s DFS operations, conducting data analysis and modeling to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Develop predictive models and algorithms to better understand Sleeper’s real-time liability, including risk exposure related to specific markets and events.
Conduct data wrangling, processing and cleaning operations, and design processes, as well as tools for monitoring and analyzing performance and accuracy.
Monitor all pricing for real-time odds, active player statistics markets, breaking news, and other relevant information to make real-time market adjustments / suspensions, while also ensuring that data flows from external partners are being recorded timely and accurately.
Build out user risk profiles, staying close to behavior patterns and trends, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance personalization within our DFS ecosystem.
Automate risk and trading processes to scale for growth in users, sports, and markets in support of all game operations, and contribute to research and innovation for this function as a whole.
Qualifications:
Background in computer science, data science, machine learning, mathematics/statistics, or a similar field with related experience. Comfortable working with and analyzing large data sets.
In-depth knowledge of DFS, sports betting, player props, handicapping, expected value, and closing line value. Ideal candidates have extensive experience with high volumes of DFS/sports betting and real money games, either as a trader, +EV bettor, and/or oddsmaker.
Proactive – ready to hit the ground running; excited about the idea of building out processes from scratch, and not afraid to break the “sports trading mold”, challenging how the industry has historically approached risk management and trading.
Comfortable working “off hours” to align with peaks in the sports calendar. This will often include nights and weekends. We are generally quite flexible and will work with you to ensure an appropriate work/life balance is molded around game schedules.
Knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or related software/tools, and familiarity in working with databases, data warehouses, data visualizations and report building.
Experience with player performance metrics, game outcome predictions, in-game event modeling, as well as working with real-time sports data feeds and APIs.
