Your Mission on the Team:
Your mission is to accelerate the development of the novel antenna technologies at the core of Meridian Space’s next-generation approach to LEO satellite communications. You will be responsible for research, simulation, design, optimization, testing, and calibration - leading to the rapid deployment these technologies in an operational satellite constellation.
Basic Qualifications:
At least5years of experience with a Bachelor’s, or aMaster’sdegree in an engineering discipline with an emphasis in electromagnetic theory and/or microwave circuits
Good, intuitive understanding of electromagnetics and optics in microwave systems (refraction, diffraction, Huygen’s principle, etc.)
Experience in designingelectronically scanned antennas
Experience in the design of patches,metasurfaces,horns,waveguidesor similar compact antennas
Expertisein electromagnetic simulation tools like HFSS, CST, or FEKO
Application of system simulation tools like Python or MATLAB
Familiarity with range testing and ability tooperaterelevant test equipment
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to work in a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developingreflectarrayortransmitarrayantennas
Experience developing shaped reflector antennas
Experience designing antennas for PCB manufacturability
Broader experience of RF/microwave systems (particularly 10.7 GHz – 51.4 GHz)
Experience with passive RFcomponentcharacterization
Experience with near fieldantenna rangetesting
Experience with advanced beamforming methods
Experience using automation to conduct exploratory RF design analysis
Experience with space-qualified systems

Your Mission on the Team:
You are responsible for the design and development of the analog RF systems and supporting avionics in the satellite communication payloads of Meridian Space constellation. That includes:
Transponder RF chains (Amplifiers, filters, mixers)
Means of controlling transponder functions
Transponder power supply avionics
Radio-to-antenna interface design
Basic Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience designing analog RF systems, with hands-on circuit design and board layout using industry-standard EDA tools
Experience designing RF signal chains incorporating amplifiers, filters, and mixers, using circuit simulation tools such as ADS or Microwave Office
Experience designing power supply avionics for RF or analog payloads
Ability to perform bench-level RF and analog bring-up and troubleshooting using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and other RF test equipment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing transponders or transponder-like RF chains for satellite communication payloads
Experience with radio-to-antenna interface design and passive RF/microwave components (waveguides, diplexers, couplers, filters), including 3D EM simulation in HFSS, CST, or similar
Experience designing, manufacturing, and testing space flight hardware, including managing radiation effects (TID, SEE mitigation, part selection)
General electrical hardware design experience across power, DC, and digital domains
Experience with antenna range or anechoic chamber testing and RF component characterization
Expertise in automating RF test equipment and reducing measurement data using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools

Your Mission on the Team:
In this role you will be responsible for developing software tools that accelerate, streamline and organize engineering development within the organization. This includes:
Managing the test campaigns of various satellite communications technology development programs.
Streamlining, automating and organizing test processes to accelerate R&D, integration and production efforts
Designing, planning and executing new equipment tests.
Organizing, managing and processing high volumes of test data.
Test articles may include electronically scanned antennas, radio RF chains, passive component characterization, modems, entire satellite payloads, full satellite link bench simulation and on-orbit tech demonstration.
Basic Qualifications
B.S. in electrical engineering, physics, or a related technical field
Experience designing, planning, and executing tests on RF or communications hardware
Hands-on experience with lab test equipment: spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes
Working knowledge of RF and communications fundamentals: link budgets, modulation, noise, S-parameters
Experience automating test equipment via SCPI, VISA, or equivalent
Proficiency in Python for test automation and data analysis
Experience organizing and processing large volumes of test data
Ability to work autonomously and exercise good engineering judgement
Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and written communication skills
A natural curiosity about how things work, with the patience and rigor to chase down the right answer rather than settle for a convenient one
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in RF, communications, or satellite payload test
Experience testing electronically scanned antennas (phased arrays)
Experience characterizing RF chains, passive components, or modems
Experience with full payload or end-to-end satellite link testing
Experience supporting on-orbit testing or tech demonstrations
Experience building data pipelines for automated test — capturing, organizing, and querying results
Proficiency with the scientific Python stack: NumPy, SciPy, pandas
Experience building dashboards or visualizations for test data (matplotlib, Plotly, Streamlit, Dash)
Familiarity with version control and CI/CD for test infrastructure
Prior experience in fast-moving startup engineering environments
