Business Development Representative
Job Description
This role is located in Somerville, MA – We are a hybrid work environment and are in the office 3+ days/per week.
Tulip brings modern technology and AI into manufacturing. Manufacturing accounts for almost 20% of the global economy and one in every seven workers on Earth, yet remains among the least digitized. More than a decade ago, we created the category to close that gap: AI-native software that puts cutting-edge tools directly in the hands of the people on the manufacturing front lines. Because we are human-centered and tech-obsessed, we are building a future of work where human ingenuity is amplified with the latest technology.
In January 2026 we became one of Boston's few new AI unicorns, reaching a $1.3B valuation. We're growing double digits in revenue year over year. The world's best manufacturers run on Tulip – turning inventory 10x faster, releasing gene therapies in hours instead of weeks, and training master craftspeople to forge engagement rings 5x more rapidly. Headquartered in Somerville, MA with offices in Germany, Hungary, Singapore, Japan, and Israel, we've been consistently named a World Economic Forum Global Innovator, a Gartner leader, and one of Built In Boston's “Best Places to Work.”
We run the way we build: AI-forward, humanistic, and high ownership. We're looking for builders who are energized by complex problems, rapid cycles, and the unique opportunity to see their impact on a global scale.
About the Role:
Tulip is scaling its Commercial organization, and this role sits inside a small sales team focused on a shared list of target accounts. Tulip's AI-native platform is used by companies like AstraZeneca, Cartier, and Stanley Black & Decker to digitize shop floor operations, replace paper-based quality processes, and build composable operations solutions. The people you will talk to are plant managers, quality and operations leaders, and engineers solving real problems in complex environments, and you will need to understand their world well enough to earn the conversation.
About You:
You have worked in industrial or process engineering and want to move into sales, or you have started your career in B2B sales and understand the manufacturing world. You are curious about how factories run, emotionally intelligent, coachable, and comfortable adapting as things change. You’re resilient, able to read a conversation, adjust your approach, and keep moving forward when you hear no. You want to build a career in sales and are ready to spend the next 18–24 months learning, growing, and succeeding as a Business Development Representative in a high growth environment.
What skills do I need?
- 1-2+ years of professional experience preferred, ideally in industrial or process engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, or continuous improvement; exceptional candidates from other backgrounds with relevant business development or sales experience will also be considered
- Clear, confident communicator who can hold a substantive conversation with operations, engineering, and manufacturing leaders
- Ability to quickly learn complex manufacturing environments, understand operational challenges, and connect those problems to Tulip’s value proposition
- Able to understand and execute enterprise sales playbooks, conduct thorough account research, and prepare effectively for prospect conversations
- Comfortable using AI-enabled tools and workflows for account research, call preparation, and day-to-day productivity
Nice to have:
- Hands-on exposure to MES, ERP, quality systems, or shop floor operations, and/or experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement
- Prior experience selling into enterprise industrial or manufacturing accounts, experience with CRM (Salesforce) or sales engagement tools (Amplemarket, Outreach, ZoomInfo, etc.), and/or MEDDPICC proficiency
Key Responsibilities:
- Run targeted outbound for target accounts, using account research, buying signals, and AI-enabled tools to prioritize and personalize outreach
- Research and prepare for target accounts before outreach, developing a clear understanding of the account, its manufacturing environment, and relevant operational challenges
- Qualify and follow up with inbound leads, while proactively generating new conversations through outbound prospecting and cold calling
- Own account momentum within your assigned vertical, engaging multiple contacts and coordinating closely with the Account Executive
- Book and run introductory meetings with key operations, engineering, and manufacturing personas at target accounts
- Participate in pipeline and account reviews for target accounts, sharing prospect feedback, objection patterns, and account intelligence with Account Executives and the broader go-to-market team
Key Collaborators:
- Account Executives and Sales Leaders
- BDR Lead and BDR team
- Revenue Marketing and Product Marketing

Revenue Strategy & Data Analytics Lead
Job Description
This role is located in Somerville, MA – We are a hybrid work environment and are in the office 3+ days/per week.
Tulip brings modern technology and AI into manufacturing. Manufacturing accounts for almost 20% of the global economy and one in every seven workers on Earth, yet remains among the least digitized. We run the way we build: AI-forward, humanistic, and high ownership. We're looking for builders who are energized by complex problems, rapid cycles, and the unique opportunity to see their impact on a global scale.
The Role:
This role owns the data architecture and the strategy behind Tulip's revenue engine, using data and AI so we go after the right accounts, price them correctly, run an efficient process to win them, and then keep and grow them. You will set the roadmap while staying hands on with the models, schemas, and dashboards that make it real, and you will own how that work reaches the executive team and commercial leadership, translating market sizing, pricing simulations, conversion analysis, and GRR/NRR trends into decisions leadership can act on. You will be in SQL and in the room where the number gets decided, sitting close to the commercial org in forecast calls, deal reviews, and renewal conversations alongside Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and their leaders, because the analysis only lands if the people carrying the number trust it and use it.
About You:
You have built revenue data architecture before, and you built it yourself, thinking in systems and turning messy CRM, usage, support, and engagement data into models that people trust enough to set quota, pricing, and renewal strategy on. You are comfortable being the person who says a number is wrong and can show why, just as comfortable rewriting it into a story an executive can act on in one slide, and you coach the people around you, whether that is an analyst building the next model or a Customer Success leader learning to read a health score, because scale comes from people as much as from systems.
What skills do I need?
- 8-10+ years in Customer Success Ops, RevOps, or Strategic Analytics within a B2B SaaS environment (usage-based or composable software experience is a plus).
- Experience leading as a player coach in a RevOps or GTM context, balancing hands on ownership of systems and process with mentoring and growing team members is a plus
- Track record leading cross-functional system change across Salesforce or other commercial systems (segmentation, territory and quota models, forecast hygiene, Customer Health Scores, churn coding, renewal workflows etc.) with direct influence on VP and C-suite decisions
- Experience using AI for commercial, such as predictive churn modeling, sentiment analysis, or AI-driven “next best action” recommendations, including evaluating build versus buy tradeoffs
- Expert-level SQL and BI tooling, with experience joining product usage data to CRM data at scale
- Experience owning GTM metrics; experience mentoring or coaching junior analysts or ops talent is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required, MBA preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the strategy/roadmap for how AI and data power retention and expansion across Customer Success, Professional Services, and Support
- Build and continuously improve the models that identify at-risk accounts and cross-sell or upsell opportunities using usage, support, and engagement data
- Architect Tulip’s Health Score metrics and the underlying data foundation that powers automated Customer Success playbooks
- Set renewal pricing strategy, services attach rate targets, and margin optimization in partnership with Sales and Services leadership
- Own the retention narrative for executive and board level audiences, translating real-time NRR and GRR metrics into a clear story and recommended actions
- Mentor and upskill the GTM team plus cross functional commercial partners directly on how to use the data
Key Collaborators:
- Executive Leadership Team
- Head of Customer Success
- Head of Professional Services
- Finance
- Commercial leadership
- Go To Market Operations
- Product Team

We run the way we build: AI-forward, humanistic, and high ownership. We're looking for builders who are energized by complex problems, rapid cycles, and the unique opportunity to see their impact on a global scale.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on engineering role split between two things: building the AI-native tools, agents, and automations that power Tulip's go-to-market motion, and partnering directly with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to keep those systems reliable, adopted, and delivering measurable impact in production. You'll work across Clay, LLM platforms, and the broader GTM tech stack.
About You:
You are a builder who is energized by the intersection of modern AI and real commercial problems. You don't stop at a working prototype. You ship production-grade tools with the reliability, evaluation, and guardrails to hold up under daily use, and you move quickly through ambiguity without losing sight of the business problem you're solving.
What skills do I need?
- 3-5+ years of experience in GTM Engineering, Revenue Operations, Business Systems, or a software engineering role building data or AI-driven applications, ideally within B2B SaaS
- Hands-on experience building and shipping AI-powered workflows or agentic automations that solved a real business problem
- Deep familiarity with Clay (or a comparable enrichment/automation platform) and the broader GTM tech stack: Salesforce, Gong, ZoomInfo, Looker, and similar
- Comfort writing scripts or connecting systems via APIs and webhooks (Python, JavaScript, or SQL) to move data cleanly between tools
- Proven ability to operate through ambiguity: scoping vague stakeholder asks into well-defined, measurable solutions and shipping iteratively
- Experience integrating LLMs or ML into production systems (RAG, evaluations) is a plus
- Familiarity with data warehouses or BI tools (Redshift, Sigma) is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and ship AI-native tools, agents, and automations in Clay and adjacent platforms that make Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations faster and more consistent
- Integrate LLMs and agentic patterns (prompt design, retrieval, evaluations) into production GTM workflows such as CRM enrichment, account scoring, deal intelligence, and automated outreach
- Evaluate and evolve the GTM technology ecosystem (Salesforce, Clay, Gong, ZoomInfo, and emerging AI-native platforms), building integrations and automation frameworks that reduce manual effort and improve reliability
- Diagnose gaps in core GTM workflows: pipeline management, forecasting, sales enablement, and partner operations. Prioritize getting to the root cause, not just automating around a broken process
- Partner with stakeholders across Revenue Operations, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance to turn ambiguous requests into well-scoped, measurable tools
- Own what you build end to end: prototyping, backend services, deployment, monitoring, and iteration. Put reliability, evaluation, and data-quality guardrails in place so AI features hold up in production
- Measure adoption and business impact of what you ship, and use that signal to decide what to build next and where to double down
Key Collaborators:
- GTM Operations / Revenue Operations
- Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Professional Services
- Product, Engineering, and Data teams
- Commercial leadership

Developer Experience Engineer
Job Description
About You
You've built tools that engineers rely on. You think agentic AI and developers working together is one of the most interesting opportunities of this decade, and you want your fingerprints on the tools, standards, and platform that make that possible here. You understand the full process of shipping an agent into production: prompting, tool and MCP design, reliability, evals, the UX of human-AI handoffs, and the plumbing in between.
What skills do I need?
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with a focus on developer tooling, platform engineering, or internal-facing/DevX systems
- Meaningful hands-on experience building with AI/LLMs and shipping agentic solutions. Whether that's a career focus, or a more recent but deep pivot into the space
- Proven ability to build internal tools that make powerful AI capabilities accessible to engineers, including the judgment to know when to build vs. buy, and when to standardize vs. let teams experiment
- A natural collaborator who earns trust with engineers quickly, understands real engineering pain points, and co-creates solutions that get adopted rather than shelved
- Strong full-stack proficiency (TypeScript and related ecosystem), deep familiarity with API design and integration (RESTful services, MCP, and similar), and comfort working across a modern engineering tech stack
- Deep hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, RAG, and tool-use/function-calling patterns.
- Production experience with AWS, modern CI/CD practices, and a genuine understanding of AI safety and security, especially around code execution and access to internal systems
- Experience with or strong interest in developer experience fundamentals: reducing friction, measuring engineering productivity, and treating internal tooling like a product with real users
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering teams to identify the highest-leverage AI opportunities in the developer workflow: from code generation and review to testing, debugging, and internal tooling.
- Build and maintain the internal agentic AI platform engineers rely on daily: skills, plugins, MCP servers, and integrations across our tech stack (source control, CI/CD, observability, ticketing, and more)
- Own foundational architecture and standards for how agents and model releases are evaluated, and deployed internally: including reliability, evals, efficiency, and secure tool access patterns
- Build and improve the onboarding, documentation, and discovery layer that helps engineers find and adopt the right AI tools (skills catalogs, guides, internal wikis) rather than reinventing them
- Stay plugged into agentic AI and developer-tooling trends externally to shape internal standards and roadmap decisions
- Meaningfully contribute to organizational AI enablement for engineering, including internal learning programs, office hours, and change management as new tools roll out
- Instrument and measure adoption and impact of internal AI tooling, and use that data to prioritize what to build next
Key Collaborators
- Product Engineering Teams AKA Our Customers
- Infrastructure & DevOps Teams
- QA

About You
You're an engineer at heart who finds joy in building the software that other software runs on — and you think about that software like a product. Your customers happen to be other engineers, so you care about how the platform feels to use, not just whether it works. You believe a platform should be a set of robust, resilient, and intuitive libraries rather than a collection of scripts, and you're curious about where people get stuck and why. You're eager to use AI-assisted development tools to move faster, improve the developer experience, and make the platform more reliable.
What skills do I need?
- 3+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping complex backend systems
- Strong skills in at least one modern backend programming language
- Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
- Solid understanding of cloud native or cloud hybrid solutions
- A product mindset toward internal tooling — you seek out feedback from the engineers using what you build and iterate on it
- Comfort using AI-powered engineering tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) in your day-to-day workflow
Nice to have
- Familiarity with our tech stack — Node.js, Go, TypeScript, React, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Postgres, AWS
- Prior experience developing tools that improve the developer experience
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Side projects or personal builds where you owned something end to end, from idea to real users
Key Responsibilities
- Write and maintain clean, high-quality, efficient, and well-tested code that aligns with project specifications
- Design and implement the abstractions that bridge the gap between software engineering and DevOps
- Talk to the engineers who use the platform, find where they lose time, and help turn that into prioritized work
- Partner with Product and Engineering counterparts to build tooling that teams actually adopt
- Develop and maintain technical documentation that helps engineers self-serve
- Use AI-assisted tooling and automation workflows to improve developer productivity, accelerate troubleshooting, and strengthen platform reliability
Key Collaborators
- Engineering
- DevOps
- Product Management
