Head of Customer Success
Company
Vector is the contact-based advertising platform, built for marketers, by marketers. Reveal turns anonymous site and ad traffic into named, verified contacts; Target builds always-on ad audiences from that data, so every ad dollar maps to real pipeline, not vanity metrics. We're backed by Y Combinator, SignalFire, and HubSpot Ventures, and growing fast.
Role
Vector is hiring a Head of Customer Success to build and lead the function that helps customers turn contact-level advertising data into measurable pipeline results.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate as both strategic partner and builder, owning the post-sale journey (onboarding, adoption, retention, expansion, executive relationships) while standing up the systems and team Vector needs to scale.
Our customers are sophisticated B2B marketing, demand gen, growth, and RevOps teams. They're not just buying software, they're changing how they identify buyers, activate audiences, and connect marketing activity to pipeline. You'll help translate Vector's technology into repeatable workflows, stronger campaign performance, and clear business value, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations along the way.
Responsibilities
- Own the customer lifecycle: Own the post-sale journey (onboarding, adoption, renewals, expansion, and advocacy) from contract signature through long-term growth.
- Build the function: Build the operating model from scratch: segmentation, engagement cadence, playbooks, and systems for a growing customer base.
- Lead strategic accounts: Develop trusted relationships with senior marketing, demand gen, growth, and RevOps stakeholders as an advisor on contact-based advertising.
- Accelerate time to value: Get customers to meaningful usage fast, then close adoption gaps and connect product use to results- match rates, ad waste, pipeline attribution.
- Own retention and growth: Build proactive account plans, spot risk early, and partner with Sales on renewal and expansion strategy.
- Build health & reporting infrastructure: Define customer health indicators and run executive business reviews that tie product usage to pipeline impact.
- Represent the customer internally: Turn customer feedback into input for Product, Marketing, Sales, and Ops, and partner with Marketing on case studies, testimonials, and references.
- Build the team: Hire, coach, and grow a high-performing Customer Success organization as the company scales.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in Customer Success, account management, or another customer-facing B2B SaaS role, including experience building or leading CS at an early- or growth-stage company.
- A track record improving retention, adoption, expansion, and customer satisfaction.
- Comfort as a player-coach, managing strategic accounts personally while building the broader function.
- Strong grounding in B2B marketing, demand gen, digital advertising, ABM, or RevOps.
- A knack for translating technical capabilities into clear workflows and business value for senior stakeholders in complex, multi-threaded accounts.
- Commercial sharpness with renewals and expansion, and an analytical bent. Comfortable using account and product data to guide decisions.
- Clear, credible communication and the ability to build structure quickly through ambiguity.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary and performance-based compensation.
- Meaningful equity ownership.
- Health, dental, and vision coverage.
- Flexible paid time off.
- A foundational role at a fast-growing, venture-backed company, with direct access to Vector's founders and real influence over the customer experience, product direction, and how the company operates.
How We Work
Vector was founded by two former Air Force officers, and that shows up in how we operate: move fast, stay honest about what's working, and cut what doesn't serve customers. We're early stage, still building and figuring things out, so the people who thrive here are comfortable with ambiguity and get real satisfaction from customer wins, not process for its own sake.
If you want a role where every system already exists, this isn't it. If you want to build them, keep reading.
We've Done This Job Before
Vector's founders spent years selling to and working with marketers before building the platform. We understand the pressure our customers face to prove performance, reduce waste, and connect marketing spend to pipeline. Customer Success here isn't reactive account coverage; it's helping customers build a more precise, accountable way to reach buyers.
Outcomes Over Activity
We measure what matters: verified contacts, stronger match rates, more effective activation, less wasted spend, and clearer pipeline impact. Product logins and meeting volume only count when they drive customer value.
Ownership Over Ego
Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations share responsibility for customer outcomes. We hire experts, give them ownership, and expect them to surface risk early and solve problems without unnecessary process or politics. We care what you've done, how you think, and how you work with others, not where you went to school.
Vector is an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic.
Account Executive
About Vector
Vector is the contact-based advertising platform, built for marketers, by marketers. Reveal turns anonymous site and ad traffic into named, verified contacts; Target builds always-on ad audiences from that data, so every ad dollar maps to real pipeline, not vanity metrics. We're backed by Y Combinator, SignalFire, and HubSpot Ventures, and we're growing fast.
What You'll Do
As an Account Executive, you will focus exclusively on new business. You'll own a defined segment of high-growth B2B companies and be responsible for driving net-new logo acquisition.
This is a disciplined, consultative sales role that requires strong pipeline generation, crisp discovery, and consistent execution. You'll manage multiple active opportunities while maintaining control of your number.
You'll be selling a platform that spans:
- Reveal: website and ad de-anonymization that turns anonymous visitors and ad clicks into named, verified contacts
- Target: signal-driven audience activation that connects contact-level data across the stack and syncs it to LinkedIn, Google, Meta, and beyond
Responsibilities
- Own the full new business sales cycle from prospecting through close, typically $20K–$60K ACV deals.
- Source and build the majority of your own pipeline through self-driven outbound prospecting, while also converting inbound interest, we don't hand you a queue of pre-qualified leads.
- Partner closely with our ABM manager and marketing team, creating a tight feedback loop on which accounts, messaging, and channels are converting so targeting keeps improving.
- Run strong discovery that ties marketing and pipeline pain to measurable outcomes like match rate, cost per engaged contact, ad waste reduction, and pipeline attribution.
- Multi-thread across marketing, demand gen, growth, and RevOps stakeholders, the people who actually own the ad budget and the CRM.
- Maintain tight deal control using MEDDICC discipline and clear next steps.
- Accurately forecast commit deals and proactively surface risk early.
- Deliver tailored demos and compelling business cases.
- Consistently build and maintain healthy qualified pipeline coverage.
Who You Are
- 2–5 years of quota-carrying experience in B2B SaaS.
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding quota in a mid-market or SMB new business role.
- Strong pipeline creator who thrives sourcing their own opportunities, not someone who needs a queue of pre-qualified leads to be effective.
- Comfortable managing a high volume of active opportunities simultaneously with organization and rigor.
- Strong discovery skills with the ability to quantify impact and build urgency.
- Coachability, competitiveness, and an ownership mindset.
- Experience selling to marketing, demand gen, or RevOps teams preferred.
Our Culture & Sales Ethos
Vector was built by two former Air Force officers on a simple belief: rally around the mission, trust the crew, and cut the guesswork. That ethos runs straight through how we sell, not just what we sell.
We move fast, and we expect a lot from each other. We're also honest about where we are, early stage, building, figuring things out. The people who thrive here are comfortable with ambiguity, allergic to theater, and get genuine satisfaction from real wins.
If you want a role where the systems are already built, this probably isn't it. If you want to be one of the people who built them, keep reading.
We've Done the Job We're Solving For
Our founders sold to marketers for years before they ever built Vector. We hire AEs who've lived deal cycles, not people reciting a script. You'll sell with credibility because you understand the buyer's world, not because you're following a playbook you don't believe in.
Precision Over Pitch
Contact-level, or we don't ship, that's our product bias, and it's our sales bias too. We sell with proof: named contacts, real match rates, real pipeline impact. No inflated ROI stories, no happy ears. Clarity over guesswork, all day.
Mission Over Ego
We debate hard, decide fast, and back the decision together. We hire experts, set a clear number, and let AEs run their territory like owners — no micromanaging, no deal theater. We're team-first: sales, marketing, and product win together, and no one here is a lone wolf.
We're not chasing a boiler room vibe. We believe great sales cultures are built on credibility, curiosity, and consistency, and on turning ghosts into real people, deal by deal.
Vector is an equal opportunity employer. We don't care where you went to school. We care what you've done and how you think.
Forward-Deployed Engineer, API
Forward-Deployed Engineer, API — Vector
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid) · Stage: Seed → Series A · Reports to: Head of Engineering
About Vector
Vector is a contact-level advertising platform built for B2B demand generation teams who are tired of paying LinkedIn to show ads to people who will never buy from them.
We let marketers build ad audiences from real, verified contacts — people actively visiting their site, engaging with their brand, or researching competitors right now. Then we sync those audiences directly to LinkedIn, Meta, Google, Reddit, and more. The result: less spend on noise, more spend on actual buyers.
We went through Y Combinator, we're backed by serious investors, and we're preparing for a Series A. The core platform has product-market fit. Now we need someone to own what comes next.
The Opportunity
Vector's API product exists — and it's working. Customers are integrating with it. Revenue is coming in. But right now it's being supported off the side of three people's desks, none of whom can give it the attention it deserves.
This is the hire that changes that.
You'll be the first person fully dedicated to our API product — owning everything from the technical onboarding experience to the SDK and documentation to scoping new integrations with prospects. You're not joining a team. You're building the foundation for one.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market. Some days you'll be writing code. Other days you'll be on a call walking a customer's engineering team through an integration. Other days you'll be shaping the roadmap based on what you're hearing in the field. If you need a clean swim lane to be productive, this isn't for you. If you like owning something end-to-end and making it real, keep reading.
What You'll Own
API product ownership You'll be the internal owner of the API product — its roadmap, its reliability, and its trajectory. You'll work closely with engineering and leadership to prioritize what gets built, and you'll have the technical chops to build some of it yourself. This isn't a PM role where you write tickets and wait. You ship.
Technical onboarding and integration support When a customer is integrating with our API, you're the person making sure it goes well. You'll guide their engineering teams through implementation, troubleshoot issues, and build the tooling and processes that make onboarding repeatable — not a fire drill every time.
Developer enablement Our docs, SDKs, and developer experience need an owner. You'll build and maintain the resources that let customers self-serve where possible and get unstuck fast when they can't. If you've ever been frustrated by bad API documentation, this is your chance to build what you wished existed.
Pre-sales technical scoping You'll join sales conversations when there's a technical integration to scope — understanding the prospect's stack, defining what the integration looks like, and giving the team an honest read on complexity and feasibility. You're not carrying a quota, but your ability to translate between business value and technical implementation will directly influence revenue.
Feedback loop to product and engineering You'll be closer to API customers than anyone in the company. That means you're the one surfacing patterns — what's breaking, what's missing, what would unlock the next wave of adoption. You'll turn field signal into product direction.
Who We're Looking For
You can code and you can communicate. This role requires both. You're comfortable writing production-quality code, and you're equally comfortable explaining a technical concept to a non-technical stakeholder or hopping on a call with a customer's senior engineer. People who are strong at one but not the other won't thrive here.
You've worked on developer-facing products. You understand what makes a good API, a good SDK, and a good developer experience. You've either built these things or been close enough to have strong opinions about how they should work.
You've operated in ambiguity. This product doesn't have a playbook yet. You're the person who writes it. You've worked at a startup or in an environment where you had to figure out the right thing to do — not just execute against a spec someone handed you.
You're technical enough to be dangerous across the stack. You don't need to be a specialist in any one area, but you should be able to read and write code across backend systems, work with APIs and data pipelines, and debug an integration without waiting for someone else to do it.
You default to ownership. When something is broken or unclear, your instinct is to fix it or figure it out — not to flag it and move on. You treat the API product like it's yours, because it is.
Minimum experience: 3+ years in a technical role with meaningful customer-facing or product-facing exposure — solutions engineering, developer relations, forward-deployed engineering, technical account management, or a software engineering role where you were regularly in front of customers. Bonus if you've done this at an early-stage company.
Bonus Points
- Experience with ad tech, martech, or B2B marketing platforms — you understand the ecosystem we're operating in
- Familiarity with identity resolution, audience targeting, or data integration workflows
- Experience building or maintaining SDKs, developer documentation, or API reference sites
- Background working with TypeScript/Node.js, AWS, or data pipeline tooling
- You've worked at a YC company or similar high-velocity early-stage environment
- You've been the first hire in a function and know what it means to build from zero
What We Offer
- Competitive base + meaningful equity — you're joining at a stage where the upside is real
- Full benefits
- A seat at the table — you'll be in the room when product and GTM decisions get made, not hearing about them afterward
- The chance to own something. Not support something. Not maintain something. Own it.
A Note on Culture
We move fast and we expect a lot from each other. We're also honest about where we are — seed stage, building, figuring things out. The people who thrive here are comfortable with ambiguity, allergic to theater, and get satisfaction from watching a customer successfully integrate something they built.
If you want a role where the boundaries are clearly drawn and someone else decides what's important, this probably isn't it. If you want to be the reason an entire product line works, keep reading.

Product Engineer
Product Engineer — Vector
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid) · Stage: Seed → Series A · Reports to: Engineering Leadership
Now we need engineers who can push it forward.
The Opportunity
Vector's platform is working. Customers are on it. Revenue is growing. But the surface area of what we need to build is expanding faster than the team — new signal sources, attribution and recommendation products for ad campaigns, deeper integrations across the ad ecosystem.
We're hiring Product Engineers across several product areas. The common thread: you'll work closely with product and design to understand what customers need, then own the execution from architecture through deployment. We're not looking for engineers who just want to be handed a ticket — we want people who are genuinely curious about the problem, have opinions about the solution, and take pride in shipping something that actually works for customers.
If you want to build at a company where your work directly moves the business, keep reading.
What You'll Own
End-to-end product areas You'll own meaningful product surfaces — not just tickets. You'll partner with product and design to understand the problem, then own the execution: architecture, implementation, shipping, and iteration. Depending on the role, that could mean working on new signal ingestion pipelines, building attribution and recommendation products for ad campaigns, or deepening how our platform connects to the broader ad ecosystem.
Full-stack development You'll work across the stack. Frontend when the product needs it, backend when the system needs it. We're not looking for someone who only touches one layer. The product areas you work on will require you to move fluidly between the UI your customers interact with and the data infrastructure that powers it.
Product curiosity, not just code You'll work alongside product and design, but we expect you to show up with opinions. The best engineers here dig into why something matters — they ask good questions, push back when something doesn't make sense, and bring ideas to the table. You don't need to own the roadmap, but you should care about what's on it.
Shipping and iterating We're a small team building fast. You'll ship frequently, get feedback quickly, and adjust. Perfection on the first try isn't the expectation. Good judgment about when something is ready to ship — and when it needs another pass — is.
Who We're Looking For
You build things end-to-end. You've taken features from design through production — not just inherited a backlog. You're comfortable owning the execution of a feature, and you bring thoughtful input to the product conversations around it.
You work across the stack. You don't need to be an expert in every layer, but you can move between frontend and backend without waiting for someone else. You've built user-facing features and you've built the systems behind them.
You're curious about the problem, not just the code. You want to understand why something is being built, not just how. You ask good questions, you dig into customer context, and you're not satisfied shipping something you don't believe in.
You've worked at an early-stage company — or you operate like someone who has. Small teams, fast cycles, shifting priorities. You don't get paralyzed when the plan changes. You recalibrate and keep going.
You care about the product, not just the technology. The tech stack matters, but what matters more is whether the thing you built actually solved the customer's problem. You get satisfaction from impact, not just cleverness.
Minimum experience: 2+ years in a software engineering role where you shipped user-facing product. Bonus if you've done this at an early-stage company.
Bonus Points
- Experience with ad tech, martech, or B2B marketing platforms — you understand the ecosystem we're operating in
- Familiarity with audience targeting, identity resolution, or data integration workflows
- Background working with TypeScript/Node.js, AWS, or data pipeline tooling
- You've worked at a YC company or similar high-velocity early-stage environment
- You've contributed to open-source projects or have a portfolio of side projects that show how you think
What We Offer
- Competitive base + meaningful equity — you're joining at a stage where the upside is real
- Full benefits
- A seat at the table — you'll be in the room when product decisions get made, not hearing about them afterward
- The chance to ship real product to real customers from your first week
