About the Role We are looking for a highly driven, resourceful, and execution-focused Recruiter to support one of Workstream's highest-priority initiatives: scaling our Video Contributor contractor programs. This is an initial 3-month contract engagement, with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance. In this engagement, you will lead high-volume contractor recruiting with an immediate focus on rapidly expanding our in-office Video Contributor program in Menlo Park, while also supporting broader domestic and international contractor hiring initiatives as project priorities evolve. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building recruiting processes from the ground up, and knows how to generate candidate volume through creative sourcing, platform optimization, and operational excellence. You'll collaborate closely with recruiting, operations, project managers, and cross-functional partners to help scale hiring capacity and support ambitious production goals. The ideal recruiter is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to source candidates, manage pipelines, optimize recruiting funnels, and improve hiring processes while thinking strategically about building repeatable, scalable recruiting systems. Given the collaborative nature of this engagement, the contractor is expected to spend upto 5 days working from our Menlo Park office alongside the team and co-founders. Why This Opportunity Is Different This isn't a traditional recruiting assignment focused on steady-state hiring. You'll help launch and scale a high-impact operational initiative where speed, creativity, and execution matter. You'll have the opportunity to: Build scalable sourcing strategies from the ground up. Improve recruiting workflows and candidate experience. Help rapidly scale hiring capacity for a business-critical initiative. Partner directly with leaders across Recruiting, Operations, and Product. Contribute to recruiting experiments and operational improvements that may shape future hiring programs. Day In The Life Lead end-to-end recruiting for high-volume Video Contributor contractor hiring, with an initial focus on Menlo Park. Develop and execute scalable sourcing strategies across Workstream, Indeed, LinkedIn, and other recruiting platforms. Identify creative sourcing channels to attract high-quality contractor talent. Manage candidate pipelines from sourcing through screening, interview coordination, offer, and onboarding support. Partner closely with Recruiting, Operations, Project Managers, and People Operations to support hiring goals. Monitor recruiting funnel performance and recommend improvements to increase conversion rates. Coordinate recruiting logistics across multiple stakeholders and hiring initiatives. Track recruiting metrics, hiring velocity, and sourcing effectiveness. Build scalable recruiting processes that support future hiring growth. Support hiring surges, special recruiting projects, and evolving business priorities. Assist with sourcing and recruiting efforts for other U.S. roles as needed. Who You Are 3 to 5 years of recruiting experience, preferably supporting high-volume, contractor, hourly, staffing, or operations hiring. Demonstrated success scaling recruiting efforts in fast-paced or rapidly changing environments. Strong sourcing skills across job boards, social platforms, and creative recruiting channels. Experience managing high-volume recruiting pipelines with excellent organization and attention to detail. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Deliver accurate and timely Payroll services to customers. Handle sensitive payroll and employee information with a high degree of confidentiality. Use AI-enabled tools and automated workflows to improve speed, quality, and consistency. Apply human judgment to review, validate, and escalate AI-generated recommendations or outputs. Identify recurring customer issues and manual processes that could be improved through automation. Share customer feedback and operational insights with team leaders and the EPD team. Participate in testing, rollout, and adoption of new AI-powered tools and processes. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to knowledge-base improvements. Grow With Us We’re looking for an engineer who moves easily between embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal MCU code, and who is happy where firmware meets hardware. You will own the software that makes our devices capture, record, and communicate, help bring up new boards and sensors alongside our EEs, and build the tooling a small team needs to move fast. Day in the Life Architect, implement, and test the on-device software that controls recording, sensors, storage, and power, and keeps it running reliably over long sessions. Bring up and debug new hardware alongside our EE team: part selection, interface definition, driver development for new sensor modules, and board bring-up. Dig into the open technical problems at the core of the device. Prototype the options, measure real behavior, and help decide what we build. Own the device's interface to the rest of the system: the on-device API/SDK and protocols our app and cloud build against, kept clean, documented, and well tested. Build the tooling and automation for firmware development, test, and calibration, so the team can iterate quickly and scale into production. Who You Are 2-5 years shipping embedded software on real hardware that reached real users Proficiency in C/C++ and Python, with exposure to embedded Linux (device drivers, device tree, the boot process) and/or bare-metal/RTOS firmware Comfort at the hardware boundary: reading datasheets, bringing up boards, developing drivers for new sensor modules, and evaluating hardware tradeoffs Comfortable using electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and firmware build and debug tools A bias toward reliability across a wide variety of settings and geographies, and a habit of testing thoroughly and measuring honestly Passion for learning and building, often evidenced by side projects B.S. in EE, CE, CS, or equivalent experience Nice To Have Cameras, camera interfaces (e.g., MIPI CSI-2), DSP/ISP, or video/media pipelines, especially handling multiple simultaneous streams. MCU firmware and low-level bring-up, including bootloaders and an RTOS such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS. Connectivity and protocols such as BLE, Wi-Fi, and USB. Designing SDKs/APIs that another team consumes. OTA, telemetry, or managing software across a fleet of connected devices. CI/CD and test automation. Experience shipping wearable or consumer hardware, and working directly with hardware/EE colleagues and contract manufacturers. Grow With Us We are looking for a world-class Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as the primary strategic and operational partner to our CEO, helping scale Workstream from a high-growth Series B company into a category-defining global enterprise. In this role, you will oversee and unify the company’s core business operations—bridging the gap between strategy, product, go-to-market (GTM), and corporate functions. You will ensure Workstream scales efficiently while maintaining speed, quality, and a high-performance culture. This is a high-impact executive leadership role for an exceptional operator who thrives on complexity, drives organizational accountability, and translates visionary goals into repeatable, company-wide business performance. You will work closely with the CEO, Executive Team, Board of Directors, and investors to align global strategy with flawless execution. The ideal candidate is a visionary builder and a disciplined executioner—equally comfortable setting corporate direction, driving executive alignment, and stepping into day-to-day operations to clear roadblocks. As a vital force multiplier for the CEO, you will focus on scaling not just our market footprint, but the executive leadership team and organizational machine behind it. The ideal candidate is an elite enterprise operator who combines high-velocity startup agility with world-class operational discipline—a leader who can build resilient systems, accelerate corporate growth, and help shape Workstream as the definitive platform powering the global hourly workforce. Day In The Life Executive Leadership & Partnership: Serve as the primary strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, co-designing the company's operating cadence and ensuring total alignment on corporate priorities. Cross-Functional Orchestration: Drive synergy and alignment across traditionally siloed functions—Product, Engineering, GTM, Finance, and People—to accelerate product-to-market velocity and business growth. Corporate Scale & Governance: Build and scale company-wide operating models, including long-term corporate goal setting (OKRs), business reviews, and the infrastructure required for global expansion. Organizational Efficiency: Identify macro operational bottlenecks and design organizational structures, workflows, and resource allocation models that improve decision-making speed. Strategic & Financial Planning: Partner with the CEO and Finance leadership on the annual operating plan, corporate budgeting, and resource optimization. Board & Investor Relations: Support the CEO in board meeting preparation, investor relations, and high-level corporate reporting. People & Culture Leadership: Mentor, scale, and inspire a world-class operational team while fostering a culture of high ownership, accountability, and psychological safety. Special Initiatives & Ambiguity: Spearhead critical corporate initiatives, market expansions, or ambiguous business challenges, driving them from concept to execution. Who You Are 12+ years of executive leadership experience across business operations, corporate strategy, or general management within high-growth technology companies. Proven track record scaling a B2B SaaS or technology company through critical growth inflection points (Series B through Series D, IPO, or major scale). True multi-functional oversight: Experience managing complex organizations that span commercial, operational, and corporate functions. Exceptional business & financial acumen with a deep understanding of SaaS metrics, corporate governance, and capital allocation. World-class stakeholder management with the ability to command a room, influence executive peers, and align diverse global teams. High-velocity execution mindset paired with the strategic patience required to build for the long term. Comfort in ambiguity: A history of thriving in fast-paced, evolving startup environments by bringing order to chaos. Nice To Have Previous COO, President, General Manager (GM), or VP of Operations experience at a high-growth SaaS company. Experience in HR tech, payroll, workforce management, or vertical SaaS. Experience scaling global, distributed teams and managing international corporate entities. M&A, corporate development, or fundraising experience.
