ABOUT HYPEREXPONENTIAL (HX)
At hyperexponential, we're building the AI-powered platform that enables the world's most critical decisions in a $7 trillion industry - which risks to take, and how to price them. These are the decisions that shape real-world outcomes: whether rockets successfully launch into space, autonomous vehicles make it to market, or communities recover after major storms.
Until now, insurance has been making billion-dollar decisions using outdated tools. We're changing that. Our platform brings together data, AI, and human expertise to give insurers the fastest path from submission to decision - helping them move faster, act smarter, and take on more risk with confidence.
Backed by a16z, Highland Europe, and Battery Ventures, we're scaling globally - already trusted by nearly 50 of the world's largest insurers, with zero churn and billions in premiums flowing through hx.
What began as a single product in one market has rapidly evolved into a multi-product, multi-territory platform powering every stage of pricing and underwriting. AI is at the core of what we do - from building the world's first domain-specific AI peer programmer for insurance (think GitHub Copilot with a PhD in actuarial science) to shaping agentic workflows that reinvent how this industry operates.
What makes hx different is the people who build it. Here, impact isn't tied to title or tenure; it's defined by the challenges you take on and the discipline you bring. Surrounded by peers who stretch you, you'll do the best, hardest work of your life in a company engineered to endure.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Field Engineering (FENG) is the technical core of our go-to-market organisation. The team sits at the intersection of product, sales, and customer success, owning the “technical win” in each opportunity and making hx platform real for some of the most demanding insurers in the world. We work with underwriters, actuaries, IT, and security leaders to design solutions they can trust with their most critical pricing and underwriting decisions.
This is a team that thrives at the edge of what’s possible for our product and our customers. We specialise in the hardest integration and implementation challenges, where deep technical understanding, domain insight, and creativity are all required. As a Solutions Architect, you’ll be one of the first hx’ers many prospects meet, shaping how they understand our platform and what it can do for their business.
Solutions Architects at hx are the voice of IT, security and infrastructure - both inside hx and in front of customers. We figure out how hx Renew fits into complex, often ancient system landscapes, translating between modern cloud architectures and 1990s reality without losing sight of the bigger transformation.
The culture is high-ownership, collaborative, and very visible: every engagement is high stakes, every interaction leaves a lasting impression, and your work feeds directly into both revenue outcomes and product direction. You’ll partner closely with Sales and Product Engineering, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle and beyond, and helping customers realise the full value of hx's core product suite.
Have a look at our Field Engineering Candidate Hub https://www.hyperexponential.com/careers/hubs/field-engineering, for a sneak peak behind the scenes into our culture.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Accelerating the Tech Win by translating prospect requirements and legacy constraints into clear, actionable integration approaches aligned to our onboarding and integration playbooks.
- Run focused, high-impact technical discovery and design workshops with underwriters, actuaries, and IT stakeholders to deeply understand their workflows and shape viable solution architectures.
- Act as the trusted technical voice throughout the sales cycle, guiding stakeholders through RFPs, RFIs, due diligence, and security reviews to remove friction and keep deals moving.
- Design, build, and present compelling POV (Proof of Value) materials, Proofs of Concept and demos that showcase hx Renew’s integration capabilities and how we can transform customers’ pricing and underwriting processes.
- Partner with Product Engineering as “Customer Zero”, testing new features in real-world scenarios, surfacing edge cases, and feeding back insights that improve product quality and relevance.
- Create and maintain reusable assets – from integration libraries and reference architectures to demo environments and technical presentations – that scale the impact of the Field Engineering team across multiple deals and regions.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE DONE
- Supported with technical solution design and integration for complex B2B or enterprise software opportunities, ideally in data-heavy domains such as insurance, financial services, or adjacent regulated industries.
- AI-native in practice - Uses AI tools as a natural part of technical and delivery work - documentation, troubleshooting, first-pass analysis - not exploring what's possible but already doing it.
- Run technical evaluations and POVs with multiple stakeholder groups (e.g. business, IT, security), successfully navigating RFP/RFI processes, due diligence, and technical Q&A to a clear “Tech Win”.
- Designed, documented and positioned solution architectures within known patterns (e.g. APIs, event-driven integrations, identity and access management), clearly articulating assumptions, risks, and trade-offs.
- Built and delivered tailored Proofs of Concept or Proof of Value that directly contributed to winning or expanding high-value accounts, ideally with measurable commercial impact.
- Collaborated closely with Sales teams, using structured sales methodologies to align technical work with deal strategy, timing, and stakeholder influence.
- Contributed to shared technical assets and standards – such as playbooks, reference diagrams, or demo environments – and used structured learning habits (enablement, shadowing, self-study) to quickly ramp up on new products or domains.
YOU’RE UNLIKELY TO THRIVE HERE IF
- You prefer to follow a fixed, prescriptive playbook rather than dealing with ambiguity, evolving requirements, and messy legacy environments.
- You’re uncomfortable being highly visible – with customers, internally with senior stakeholders, and in situations where the stakes (and expectations) are high.
- You see yourself purely as either “sales” or “engineering” and don’t enjoy operating in the grey space between commercial outcomes, technical depth, and product thinking.
If reading our Culture Document https://hx.wiki/ leaves you feeling neutral rather than energised, hx may not be the place where you'll do your best work. We're building something that asks for commitment and conviction, and we want you to feel excited by the opportunity to grow with us.

Hi, I’m Kamlesh - Pricing and Value Consulting Lead at hx.
Our team helps customers and prospects understand the value hx can create across pricing, underwriting and AI. That means turning complex problems into clear business cases, analysis and value stories that support better commercial decisions.
We’re now hiring our first Business Value Consultant in the US. It’s an important hire for us, especially as the US market grows and AI Vanguard becomes a bigger part of our customer conversations.
You’ll join a US office of 17 people and work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success and senior US leaders, including Richard Gunn, our US President, to help prospects understand where hx can have measurable impact.
There is plenty still to build, which is very much the opportunity. We’re looking for someone analytical, commercially curious and comfortable working through ambiguity.
If that sounds like the kind of challenge you’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you.

About the team
The Business Value Consulting function exists to help prospects and customers clearly understand the business value of hx across our platform, including AI Vanguard and hx Renew. It sits at the heart of our US go-to-market motion, building the business cases and ROI stories that unlock strategic enterprise opportunities and drive adoption, expansion, and long-term growth.
You will work as a bridge between Sales, Product, Customer Success, and senior customer stakeholders, turning complex, ambiguous problems into clear, quantified value stories that strengthen commercial conversations. The team partners closely with senior leaders, including Richard, to shape how we position hx in the US market and to ensure our value narrative lands with executive buyers.
We are building this motion early in the US, so you will join a small, high-ownership group that is shaping repeatable ways of working as we scale. The culture is analytical, commercially minded, and highly collaborative, with a strong expectation of independence, learning agility, and comfort operating without a fully established playbook.
What you’ll be doing
Build clear, data-driven business cases and ROI models that quantify the financial impact of hx for prospects and customers, helping them make confident buying decisions.
Partner with US Sales on strategic enterprise opportunities, especially around AI Vanguard, to craft tailored value narratives that accelerate deal cycles and increase win rates.
Develop benchmarking, ROI analysis, and customer insight that equips Sales and senior leaders with compelling proof points for executive-level commercial conversations.
Translate complex customer problems, workflows, and data into simple, credible value stories that resonate with senior stakeholders across actuarial, underwriting, and business leadership.
Build trust with internal teams and external executives by delivering high-quality analysis, clear communication, and well-structured recommendations throughout the sales and post-sale lifecycle.
Help define and codify the early US Value Consulting motion by creating reusable frameworks, models, and ways of working that can be scaled across markets and segments.
What you’ll need to have done
Built robust business cases or ROI models for a technical or data-driven product, using clear assumptions and logic to demonstrate measurable commercial impact.
Supported complex enterprise or strategic sales cycles, partnering with account teams to influence senior stakeholders and move opportunities to a successful close.
Turned ambiguous customer problems into a structured approach, leading analysis from problem definition through to clear, actionable recommendations.
Translated complex quantitative analysis into simple, executive-ready stories or presentations that have influenced decision makers.
Worked cross functionally with Sales, Product, and Customer Success (or similar teams) to align on value drivers, messaging, and success criteria for customers.
Thrived in a high-ownership environment, taking initiative to build new ways of working or playbooks where none previously existed, especially in a first-of-its-kind role or market.
You’re unlikely to thrive here if
You prefer highly defined, static playbooks and feel uncomfortable operating in ambiguity or helping to build the motion as you go.
You are not motivated by digging into the details of financial models, customer data, and assumptions to create credible, defensible analysis.
You find it difficult to challenge or influence senior stakeholders, or you avoid direct collaboration with Sales on commercial outcomes.
If reading our Culture Document leaves you feeling neutral rather than energised, hx may not be the place where you'll do your best work. We're building something that asks for commitment and conviction, and we want you to feel excited by the opportunity to grow with us.

About the Customer Success team
The Customer Success team plays a critical role in hx’s growth by ensuring our largest and most complex US enterprise customers realize sustained value from the platform. Through deep partnerships with tier-one insurers, the team directly influences renewals, expansion revenue, and long-term account health.
We operate as trusted advisors to our customers, collaborating closely with Sales, Product, Delivery, and Business Value Consulting to drive adoption, solve complex problems, and surface insights that shape the future of the hx platform. Success is measured through customer outcomes, net revenue retention, and durable executive relationships.
As a Customer Success Manager, you will own a portfolio of accounts and be accountable for customer value, renewals, and expansion. Your work will directly impact revenue retention, customer advocacy, and hx’s reputation in the US insurance market.
What you’ll be doing
Partner with US insurance customers to understand their goals across pricing, underwriting and portfolio management, and help them get sustained value from hx.
Own customer health across your portfolio, tracking adoption, risks, actions and next steps clearly.
Support renewal and expansion planning by identifying risks, customer needs and commercial signals early, working closely with Sales and CS leadership.
Lead customer engagements such as QBRs, value reviews, workshops and regular account check-ins.
Build strong relationships with a range of customer stakeholders, from day-to-day users through to senior sponsors.
Work closely with Sales, Product, Delivery and Business Value Consulting to unblock issues and create a joined-up customer experience.
Capture useful customer feedback and share it clearly with internal teams to help improve our product, delivery and ways of working.
Contribute to repeatable CS processes as the US team scales, including success planning, customer health reporting and account planning.
What you’ll need to have done
Built trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders and supported long-term account health.
Supported renewals, risk management or expansion conversations in partnership with Sales or Account Management teams.
Led customer meetings such as QBRs, value reviews, workshops or success planning sessions.
Worked cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Delivery, Implementation or similar teams to resolve customer challenges.
Used data, customer insight or health metrics to prioritise actions and make good decisions.
Operated well in fast-moving or ambiguous environments, with a bias towards ownership and clear communication.
You’re unlikely to thrive here if
You prefer transactional customer relationships over building long-term, strategic partnerships.
You wait for a detailed playbook before taking action or solving problems.
You are uncomfortable working with technical products or complex customer environments.
If reading our Culture Document leaves you feeling neutral rather than energized, hx may not be the place where you will do your best work. We are building something that asks for commitment and conviction, and we want you to feel excited by the opportunity to grow with us.

Earlier this year, we hired Corey https://www.linkedin.com/in/corey-epstein-b99b8b/ as our first Enterprise CSM in the US. We’re now hiring our second and third CSMs in the market, joining a US team of 17 people and helping us build the next stage of Customer Success in one of hx’s most important growth markets.
These roles will work closely with some of our largest customer accounts, building trusted relationships with senior insurance stakeholders, driving adoption, managing renewals and helping turn customer insight into better product, delivery and commercial decisions.
It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys complex enterprise relationships, wants real ownership, and is excited to help shape how Customer Success scales in the US.
Sounds interesting? Read more about us below.
ABOUT HYPEREXPONENTIAL (HX)
At hyperexponential, we’re building the AI-powered platform that enables the world’s most critical decisions in a $7 trillion industry: which risks to take, and how to price them. These are the decisions that shape real-world outcomes: whether rockets successfully launch into space, autonomous vehicles make it to market, or communities recover after major storms.
Until now, insurance has been making billion-dollar decisions using outdated tools. We’re changing that. Our platform brings together data, AI, and human expertise to give insurers the fastest path from submission to decision. We help them move faster, act smarter, and take on more risk with confidence.
Backed by a16z, Highland Europe, and Battery Ventures, we’re scaling globally. We are already trusted by nearly 50 of the world’s largest insurers, with near zero churn and billions in premiums flowing through hx.
What began as a single product in one market has rapidly evolved into a multi-product, multi-territory platform powering every stage of pricing and underwriting. AI is at the core of what we do, from building the world’s first domain-specific AI peer programmer for insurance (think GitHub Copilot with a PhD in actuarial science) to shaping agentic workflows that reinvent how this industry operates.
What makes hx different is the people who build it. Here, impact isn’t tied to title or tenure. It’s defined by the challenges you take on and the discipline you bring. Surrounded by peers who stretch you, you’ll do the best, hardest work of your life in a company built to endure.
If that sounds like you, join us in building what comes next.
- Partner with US insurance customers to understand their goals across pricing, underwriting and portfolio management, and help them get sustained value from hx.
- Own customer health across your portfolio, tracking adoption, risks, actions and next steps clearly.
- Support renewal and expansion planning by identifying risks, customer needs and commercial signals early, working closely with Sales and CS leadership.
- Lead customer engagements such as QBRs, value reviews, workshops and regular account check-ins.
- Build strong relationships with a range of customer stakeholders, from day-to-day users through to senior sponsors.
- Work closely with Sales, Product, Delivery and Business Value Consulting to unblock issues and create a joined-up customer experience.
- Capture useful customer feedback and share it clearly with internal teams to help improve our product, delivery and ways of working.
- Contribute to repeatable CS processes as the US team scales, including success planning, customer health reporting and account planning.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE DONE
- Built trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders and supported long-term account health.
- Supported renewals, risk management or expansion conversations in partnership with Sales or Account Management teams.
- Led customer meetings such as QBRs, value reviews, workshops or success planning sessions.
- Worked cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Delivery, Implementation or similar teams to resolve customer challenges.
- Used data, customer insight or health metrics to prioritise actions and make good decisions.
- Operated well in fast-moving or ambiguous environments, with a bias towards ownership and clear communication.
YOU’RE UNLIKELY TO THRIVE HERE IF
- You prefer transactional customer relationships over building long-term, strategic partnerships.
- You wait for a detailed playbook before taking action or solving problems.
- You are uncomfortable working with technical products or complex customer environments.
If reading our Culture Document https://hx.wiki/ leaves you feeling neutral rather than energized, hx may not be the place where you will do your best work. We are building something that asks for commitment and conviction, and we want you to feel excited by the opportunity to grow with us.

Overview
Application
TL;DR: New York City-based Account Executive role, working in a hybrid model with 2 to 3 days per week in our NYC office.
About hyperexponential (hx)
At hyperexponential, we’re building the AI platform reshaping how insurers make their most important decisions: which risks to take, and how to price them.
This is a huge market with huge consequences. The decisions our customers make affect whether rockets launch, autonomous vehicles reach the road, and communities recover after major catastrophes. For too long, those decisions have been made using outdated tools. We’re changing that.
Backed by a16z, Highland Europe, and Battery Ventures, hx is already trusted by nearly 60 of the world’s largest insurers. We have zero churn, billions in premiums flowing through our platform, and enterprise deals ranging from $250K to $1.5M+ ARR, and a clear path to unicorn status now in sight.
We’re now hiring Senior Strategic Account Executives in New York City to help scale our US business.
Why us
This isn’t your typical high-volume, transactional AE role. Instead, it’s a fantastic opportunity to introduce a truly unique product to one of the world’s most important - and least transformed -industries. You’ll have the support, growing customer base, and product strength needed to win major enterprise accounts. Plus, you’ll get to help shape how hx secures the largest and most complex accounts in North America: from crafting account strategies and building relationships with executives, to navigating long enterprise sales cycles and playing an active role in how we position hx in an exciting, evolving market.
You’ll be joining at a meaningful stage:
real enterprise traction
a product already trusted by major insurers
a serious US growth ambition
direct exposure to experienced sales leadership
the opportunity to shape how hx scales in North America
This is a role for someone who wants to do strategic, high-value enterprise selling and be close to the build.
About the Sales team
Our Sales team has grown quickly since launching in 2021. We work with some of the world’s leading insurers, including Sompo, Markel, Beazley, Aspen, Ascot, Aviva, Convex, Canopius, Aegis, Inigo, and one of the “Big 5” US insurers.
We sell into a complex market where credibility matters. Our buyers include actuaries, underwriting leaders, technology stakeholders, and the C-suite. Success here comes from thoughtful, consultative selling, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to build trust across long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
What you’ll do
Own and grow a high-value enterprise territory, driving new logo acquisition across the US insurance market
Lead complex sales cycles from first conversation through to close, across deals typically ranging from $250K to $1.5M+ ARR
Build relationships with senior stakeholders across business, technical, and executive teams
Develop a strong pipeline through a mix of outbound, account planning, and close partnership with SDRs and marketing
Run a strategic sales process that balances near-term opportunities with longer-term enterprise pursuits
Work closely with pre-sales, product, and services to shape compelling solutions for sophisticated buyers
Represent hx externally with credibility, curiosity, and commercial sharpness
What we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
a strong track record of closing complex enterprise SaaS deals, ideally with experience in strategic, six- or seven-figure enterprise pursuits
experience selling into senior, multi-stakeholder buying groups
the ability to run thoughtful, disciplined sales cycles in longer, more strategic markets
a history of building pipeline, especially through targeted account planning and senior stakeholder engagement
strong commercial judgment and the ability to navigate ambiguity
a consultative approach and the instinct to build trust, not just push process
You do not need to come from insurance. You do need to enjoy complex enterprise selling and be excited by learning a category in depth.
Why join hx
We’re all in on AI. It is core to our product, how we operate internally, and how we think about the future of our market. Being here will sharpen your AI fluency in a way very few sales roles can.
You’ll work with exceptional people. We hold a high bar and care deeply about craft, which means you’ll be surrounded by strong peers across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Leadership.
You’ll sell something real. hx is already trusted by nearly 60 of the world’s largest insurers, with zero churn and meaningful enterprise deal sizes. This is not a vision-only story.
You’ll have real room to make your mark. We’re scaling in the US, investing seriously in New York, and this role gives you the chance to help shape how we grow.
You’ll be close to the build. This is a company where Sales works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, so your perspective can genuinely influence how we win.
