Director of Content
quip NYC
Apply
DESCRIPTION
Content at quip is a growth engine, not a cost center. quip is at an inflection point, and content is one of the sharpest levers we have. We are hiring a Director of Content to build and run the machine that turns content into revenue — across every place a customer discovers, considers, and buys quip.
This role is about architecting and executing a content strategy that moves the topline: driving consideration, breaking through platform algorithms at scale, and converting attention into sales across every channel quip sells through. Critically, that includes retail. This leader should be as obsessed with driving customers into Target, Walmart, and the shelf as with any online sale — content is how quip wins the aisle, not just the feed. If you think about content the way a growth operator thinks about a P&L, this is your seat.
This is a hybrid role based in our DUMBO, Brooklyn office two days per week.
Base Salary: $175k to $195k
This range represents anticipated base salary range for this position, in addition to competitive benefits and equity (as applicable). We carefully assess and consider several factors with each candidate, including location, role-related knowledge, experience and skills. Compensation may vary based on these considerations.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Content as a business driver as a measurable growth lever with real revenue contribution across every channel — DTC, retail, and marketplaces — not an output count or a vanity reach number.
Retail as a first-class outcome — using content to drive consideration and demand that converts at the shelf (Target, Walmart, and beyond). This leader is obsessed with driving customers to retail as much as to any online channel, and works hand-in-glove with the Head of Sales (who owns quip’s retail accounts) to make content pull product through the aisle.
A high-velocity content engine — an always-on, high-cadence content operation producing breakthrough volume every week and month across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
The Brand — the positioning, identity, and voice that make quip distinct in a crowded category — driving consideration, pricing power, and loyalty, and showing up consistently everywhere a customer meets us.
Content-first commerce — TikTok Shop, live/social selling, and emerging content-driven marketplaces (e.g., Whatnot), building the content that sells — in lockstep with the Head of E-commerce, who owns channel conversion and the e-commerce P&L.
The connective tissue between creative, design, and content — so brand expression and performance work as one system, not three silos.
Content capability across the org — coaching teams, agencies, and creators to think and produce like a modern content company.
Community & influencers — establish and oversee an always-on creator/influencer engine and an owned community that compounds reach and advocacy over time, feeding the content machine and lowering the cost of every impression — not transactional, one-off sponsorships.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Define and execute a content strategy tied to explicit topline growth targets across all sales touchpoints — DTC, retail, and marketplaces — from top-of-funnel consideration through to sale.
Own brand integration end to end, and be its chief custodian — one coherent quip across product, marketing, retail, and e-commerce.
Treat retail as a primary destination, not an afterthought: build content that drives consideration and foot traffic to Target, Walmart, and other retail partners, and that pulls product off the shelf. Partner closely with the Head of Sales to connect content to retail sell-through.
Stand up a repeatable, high-volume content operation — in-house studio, creators, UGC, and agency partners — that consistently breaks through the algorithms rather than chasing them.
Own platform strategy and native fluency across TikTok, Instagram (Reels), and YouTube (Shorts and long-form), Pinterest, and test emerging platforms early and cheaply.
Drive content-led commerce on TikTok Shop and live/social selling; partner tightly with E-commerce to convert attention into transactions.
Move fluidly between “creative,” “design,” and “content” to raise the efficacy of every marketing dollar, including the creative that fuels paid and lifecycle.
Manage and scale a highly functioning team across content, design, community and influencers/partnerships
Build measurement that connects content to consideration, engagement, and revenue — and kill what does not work, fast.
Inspire and upskill the wider organization so content becomes a muscle everyone builds, not a function that sits in a corner.
WHAT YOU BRING
10+ years building content, social, and creative for consumer brands, with a clear track record of content that drove growth — not just impressions.
Demonstrated experience building “content machines”: high-volume, always-on production systems across the social and digital landscape.
Deep, current, hands-on command of TikTok, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube and how their algorithms actually reward content — you know what breaks through because you have made it break through.
Real, practical understanding of TikTok Shop and content-first selling platforms (Whatnot, live commerce). You have sold through content, not just posted it.
Fluency across creative direction, design sensibility, and content production — you can mirror all three to drive marketing efficacy.
An omnichannel instinct: you have used content to drive not only online sales but retail demand and sell-through, and you treat the shelf as a channel you are accountable to.
A revenue-first operating mindset and genuine comfort being measured on business outcomes.
Player-coach leadership: you build teams and capability, and you can still get into the work when it matters.
NYC-based, in-market, and hands-on.
HOW WE WILL MEASURE SUCCESS
Content’s contribution to topline growth across every channel — DTC, retail, and marketplaces — from consideration through to sale.
Demand and sell-through driven into retail (Target, Walmart, and partners), not just online conversion.
Volume and breakthrough: consistent high-cadence output that wins reach and engagement against the algorithms.
Content-driven commerce revenue (TikTok Shop / live selling).
Efficiency lift delivered to paid acquisition and lifecycle through stronger creative.
Organizational capability: a content muscle visibly built across teams.
Benefits:
Hybrid working environment, with an office located in the heart of DUMBO with breathtaking views of Manhattan Bridge
Year round early “summer Fridays”
WiFi enabled rooftop
Competitive medical benefit package
Commuter benefits for parking & transit
Competitive paid parental leave policy for qualifying employees

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

Chief Growth Officer
quip NYC

DESCRIPTION
quip helped define modern oral care, design-led, digitally-native, versatile, and today reaches customers across DTC, Amazon, marketplaces, and major retail, competing with some of the best-resourced brands in consumer health. We are hiring a Chief Growth Officer to lead the next chapter: sharpening the company’s focus on profitable growth, reigniting excitement across every sales channel, and making quip a brand people actively want, wherever they shop for their oral care.
This is one of the most consequential seats in the company. The Chief Growth Officer owns quip’s growth engine end to end: brand, content, influencer, partnerships, and paid media, together with the digital commerce P&L reporting in. It is a role defined by focus and urgency: doing fewer things, better and faster, and treating marketing as a revenue driver above all else. Because the person who creates demand also owns the P&L that banks it, there is no seam between the story quip tells and the growth it delivers — and no one to point to when a channel underperforms.
Just as important is who this leader is. The CGO is a force for quip, inside and out — rallying the whole team behind a single, clear vision, and representing the brand in the world with press, partners, creators, and on industry stages. They are a true complement to the CEO and a core member of the executive team alongside the CEO and CFO, helping shape company strategy and the future of the business, and engaging directly with the board on the growth agenda. They lead people-first and execution-minded: they build the team, set the standard, and get things done. And they build for the future — putting modern tooling and AI to work across the growth engine while keeping human creativity, judgment, and taste firmly at the center.
This is a hybrid role based in our DUMBO, Brooklyn office two days per week.
Base Salary: $300k to $350k
This range represents the anticipated base salary range for this position, in addition to competitive benefits, equity, and bonus eligibility (as applicable). Bonus structure and target opportunity will be discussed in more detail during the interview process. We carefully assess and consider several factors with each candidate, including location, role-related knowledge, experience, and skills. Compensation may vary based on these considerations.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
The end-to-end growth engine — the full marketing machine — brand, content, influencer, partnerships, and paid — plus the digital commerce P&L, from awareness to conversion to repeat, under a single owner. The Head of E-commerce reports into this role.
Profitable digital commerce revenue — topline and margin across DTC, Amazon, and marketplaces, with a clear line to profitable growth — not growth at any cost.
The brand — quip’s positioning, identity, and voice — the distinct point of view that creates relevance, separates quip from commodity oral care and the giants, and earns consideration, pricing power, and loyalty.
Inventive, cross-platform revenue generation — creative offers, pricing and promotion, limited-edition drops, social and live commerce, referral and retention — capital-efficient growth pulled from every channel.
Excitement and relevance across all sales channels — the demand and energy that make customers, retail partners, and marketplaces want quip, and that give Sales a brand and story that pull product through the shelf.
A modern, AI-enabled growth infrastructure — the data, tooling, and increasingly AI-powered capabilities that let a lean team operate like a much larger one — built deliberately, with human judgment at the center of the system.
A world-class growth organization — built, developed, and led across marketing and e-commerce as one team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Own and grow the digital commerce P&L toward profitable growth; treat every marketing and content program as a revenue driver first — instrument it, judge it by the number, and double down on what moves it.
Set a clear growth strategy and sequence the bets with discipline — fewer things, executed better and faster, with genuine urgency.
Reignite excitement and relevance across every sales channel — DTC, marketplaces, and retail — so customers and partners are pulled toward quip rather than pushed.
Be quip’s brand guardian: integrate the brand consistently across every channel, touchpoint, and team so quip looks, sounds, and feels like one brand everywhere.
Invent and scale creative, capital-efficient ways to drive revenue across platforms — the clever mechanic over the big media buy.
Build and deploy modern tooling and AI across the growth engine — content production, personalization, analytics, media, and lifecycle — so a lean team punches far above its weight, while keeping human creativity, judgment, and taste at the center of what ships. Strike the balance deliberately: automate the mechanical, protect the human.
Recruit, develop, and lead a world-class growth organization across marketing and e-commerce; put people first, set a high bar, and drive flawless, accountable execution.
THE EXECUTIVE SEAT
This is a leadership role first and a functional role second. Beyond running growth, the CGO helps run the company.
Be a true complement to the CEO — a trusted partner who extends the CEO’s reach, shares the load of leading the company, and can represent quip when the CEO cannot.
Sit at the core of the executive team, alongside the CEO and CFO — helping shape company strategy, resource allocation, and the direction of the business — not just the marketing plan.
Engage directly and regularly with the board — bringing clarity, a clear point of view, and confidence to the numbers and the plan, and owning the growth narrative in the room.
Be a force for quip, internally and externally — rally the whole team behind a single, clear vision, and be the brand’s advocate out in the world — with press, partners, and creators, and on industry and speaking stages.
WHAT YOU BRING
12-15+ years of growth and marketing leadership, including direct ownership of a revenue P&L — you have carried a number, not just a budget.
Experience in omnichannel consumer or CPG, ideally in a business around the $100–250M range, with a track record of driving profitable growth across DTC, marketplaces, and retail.
Proven command of both demand creation and a digital commerce P&L, and a habit of treating marketing as a revenue engine above all else.
Real fluency with modern growth tooling and AI — you have used, and ideally built, AI-enabled workflows to expand what a team can do, with clear judgment about where humans must stay in the loop.
Experience operating as part of an executive team and engaging with a board — comfortable with the numbers, the narrative, and the room.
The presence to be an external face and an internal rallying force — a communicator who inspires teams and can represent a brand on a stage.
A people-first, execution-minded leadership style — you build teams, set standards, and get things done with focus and urgency.
Challenger instincts: a track record of winning relevance and share against far-better-funded incumbents, doing more with less.
HOW WE WILL MEASURE SUCCESS
Profitable digital commerce growth — topline and margin across DTC, Amazon, and marketplaces, against plan and against the category.
Renewed relevance and excitement for quip — demand and energy visible across every sales channel, including pull-through at retail.
Revenue efficiency — growth per dollar and per head, and the leverage created by AI-enabled tooling and infrastructure.
A world-class growth organization built and retained, operating with focus, urgency, and a people-first culture.• A trusted, high-impact presence on the executive team and with the board.
WHO THIS IS (AND IS NOT) FOR
This is for a growth leader ready to be a true partner to the CEO — owning both the story and the number, building a modern, AI-enabled growth engine, and making an omnichannel brand relevant and profitable again.
This is not for a functional marketer who will not carry the P&L, a leader who needs a big budget and a big team to perform, or someone who wants to operate heads-down and away from the executive table and the board.
Benefits:
Hybrid working environment, with an office located in the heart of DUMBO with breathtaking views of Manhattan Bridge

DESCRIPTION
quip is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to own supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and product reliability for our consumer hardware products. This role partners closely with engineering and global manufacturing partners to identify field issues, drive root cause analysis, and improve product performance at scale.
This role is full time on-site Monday-Thursday in our DUMBO, Brooklyn design studio, with Fridays remote.
Base Salary: $135k-$175K
This range represents anticipated base salary range for this position, in addition to competitive benefits and equity (as applicable). We carefully assess and consider several factors with each candidate, including location, role-related knowledge, experience and skills. Compensation may vary based on these considerations.
Work Authorization: This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States and must not require quip to initiate, transfer, maintain, extend, or otherwise support an employment-based immigration status now or in the future. This includes employer action related to a change or transfer of sponsoring employer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supplier Governance (SQE): Audit and oversee our Contract Manufacturers' Quality Management Systems to ensure strict adherence to ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards. Own and manage the CAPA and deviation processes to ensure systemic compliance and continuous improvement. Conduct supplier audits and track systemic CM performance.
Manufacturing Quality & Validation: Partner with CMs to vet and sign off on Master Validation Plans and IQ/OQ/PQ protocols during product setup. Transition these into production by reviewing and optimizing the CM’s ongoing Quality Control Plans (IQC, IPQC, OQC). Monitor yields and limit samples to ensure the factory consistently builds to spec and never ships defective product.
Risk Management: Own the master Risk Management files and high-level FMEA documentation. Participate and sign off in new product development.
Design Handoff & Spec Tuning: Work closely with the design team and suppliers during NPI to transfer critical design requirements into assembly and testing fixtures. Review early test data, driving alignment between Engineering and CM’s to establish test thresholds that are sensitive enough to intercept defects, while aligning with the supplier’s true process capability.
Reliability & Lifecycle Testing: Own the Reliability testing program. Define Ongoing Reliability Testing (ORT) requirements for factory partners and monitor long-term durability and "wear and tear" trends.
Quality Data Reporting & Prioritization: Own the "Single Source of Truth" for quality. Manage the ingestion of CX/RMA data, build reporting dashboards, and provide data-driven direction on where to focus engineering investigations.
Hands-on RCA & Teardowns: Collaborate with the engineering team in physical product teardowns and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of field failures and customer returns.
Regulatory Support: Support regulatory-related documentation and process needs, building familiarity with applicable requirements over time.
