We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will independently deliver features and improvements to healthcare technology that powers prior authorization for health plans covering 15+ million members. Design and ship features with strong quality discipline — writing appropriate tests, producing accurate estimates, and confirming priorities with your team
Write short design notes for non-trivial work, articulating tradeoffs between approaches before committing to implementation
Debug and resolve production issues in your owned area, using logs, metrics, and traces to identify root causes and ship fixes
Identify and ship small platform or process enhancements that improve developer experience, code quality, or operational reliability
Provide high-signal code reviews that catch issues, suggest improvements, and help teammates grow
Support onboarding of new team members and mentor interns or new hires on bounded, well-scoped tasks
Coordinate across tasks and dependencies within your stories — working with PM, QA, and adjacent engineers to resolve blockers and close issues through resolution

2+ years of professional software engineering experience demonstrating independent delivery and increasing ownership
Backend development experience using Java or Groovy, including writing and maintaining production services
Experience building web applications with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Hands-on experience with databases (MongoDB or similar NoSQL stores preferred), including basic schema design and query writing
Demonstrated ability to independently own story-sized work — decomposing into tasks, implementing, testing, and shipping without daily direction
Familiarity with event-driven systems or messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar) at a working level
Proficiency with version control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Ability to produce accurate effort estimates and communicate status, risks, and blockers proactively
Strong code review skills — gives and receives feedback constructively

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and basic infrastructure concepts

About Akkio
Akkio is the AI infrastructure that automates campaign workflows for the world's largest media agencies. Our platform runs on-premises within our partners' cloud environments, sits directly on top of their data, and enables teams to productionize agentic AI workflows at enterprise scale with full security and governance control.
Our approach already powers some of the biggest names in media. Havas is building agentic AI into Converged.AI, its global operating system, in partnership with Akkio. Horizon Media strengthened its blu. platform with Akkio. Mediaplus built Plus.AI, its global AI media planning system, on our infrastructure. LG Ad Solutions uses Akkio to unlock real-time intelligence from ACR data.
We're a small, fast-growing team, and every person here shapes what media's biggest players do next.
How we work
We build with AI the way we expect our partners to run on it: aggressively, thoughtfully, and in production. Our customer engineering team uses AI agents every day to configure workflows on real partner data, prototype solutions, and turn a partner request into a working answer in days, not quarters.
You'll be helping the world's largest media agencies run their business on agentic AI, and that help only lands if you live it yourself. If you've rebuilt how you work around AI tools and you can show, not just tell, what agentic workflows make possible, you'll feel at home.
The opportunity
A Solutions Strategist is the person who makes the win compound, owning the account post-POC through adoption and growth. You drive adoption and stickiness, partnering with the GCE (Global Client Executive) to convert that into references and expansion.
Tactically: new workflows configured, new teams onboarded, next use cases surfaced before the partner asks. Success = value realized and expansion. Your center of gravity is the partner's business outcome, with the product as the instrument.
You'll be embedded with a small set of named enterprise accounts as the person they call first: the person who knows their business, their workflows, their politics, and their goals — and who sees the next opportunity before they do. You run the account machinery with a TAM's discipline and think about the account like a consultant.
This role is built for owners. Enterprise accounts at a fast-moving AI company shift constantly as partners learn what's possible. We're looking for someone who treats that as the fun part: someone who takes an evolving partner need, shapes it into new value on the platform, and drives it through without waiting for a playbook.
What you'll do
Own named enterprise accounts post-POC, growing them from a first use case into an expanding, referenceable partnership
Drive adoption and stickiness across the partner organization: more teams, more markets, more workflows, with a live map of account health, usage, and momentum
Surface the next use case before the partner asks, and shape it into scoped value on the platform
Partner with the GCE to convert realized value into references and expansion: new use cases, new business units, contracted features
Cultivate technical and business champions inside partner organizations and equip them to advocate for Akkio internally
Configure workflows and onboard teams alongside the engagement team, keeping enough hands-on depth to stay credible and useful
Run the operating cadence for your accounts: QBRs, executive check-ins, and status that keeps momentum visible and wins celebrated
Feed the field signal back: expansion patterns, feature gaps, and adoption blockers, delivered crisply to product and engineering
Own the account strategy for each named account: goals, challenges, KPIs, and timelines, built with the partner and kept current
Own the early warning on renewals: spot churn and adoption risk ahead of the renewal conversation and mitigate it with the GCE
Who you are
4+ years in customer-facing roles for enterprise software: solutions consulting, engagement management, technical account management, customer success engineering, or agency-side client leadership
Consulting-first: you shape ambiguous partner needs into scoped, valuable outcomes, and you're credible in a workshop, a working session, or a boardroom
Growth-minded: you've grown accounts before, you notice the expansion signal in an ordinary conversation, and you know how to move it forward without turning into a salesperson
Fluent with the modern AI stack as a daily practitioner, comfortable configuring, demonstrating, and troubleshooting LLM-based and agentic systems with users of all levels
You know the media business from the inside, or you're hungry to learn it fast: how agencies are structured, how planning, audience, and measurement work flows, and how to speak with strategists and analysts in their language
Hands-on data comfort: SQL, campaign/audience/measurement data, and enough technical depth to handle configuration and first-line troubleshooting before escalating
You thrive on ownership: you've repeatedly taken loosely defined partner needs and delivered outcomes anyway, filling gaps with judgment rather than waiting for direction
Bonus points
A track record of account growth or expansion revenue you can point to
A network across agency holding companies and independents
Hands-on experience building with large language models: prototypes, evals, or agent workflows you can show us
Previous early-stage startup experience
Why you'll love working here
Build at the frontier. You'll put agentic AI into production at the world's biggest media agencies, not into slideware. You'll have the tools, budget, and encouragement to push what's possible.
Ride real acceleration. Akkio is a well-funded startup in a rapidly accelerating phase with major enterprise partners in production and a market that's moving toward us. Joining now means real ownership of outcomes and real upside: substantial equity, outsized scope, and a direct line from your work to company results.
Work with an exceptional team. Our team is small and accomplished, composed of people who've built and scaled products at top companies and chose to do the ambitious thing here. Our culture is built around shared wins: high trust, low ego, and the expectation that everyone operates like an owner.
Additional information
Location: Remote-first company with no central office location. This position is fully remote; East Coast or New York area is preferred given our partner footprint. Regular onsites with your accounts are expected (~25% travel).
Compensation: Competitive salary range of $150,000–$200,000 depending on experience, plus substantial equity grants
Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) plan; PTO
Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US
Akkio is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
To all recruitment agencies: Akkio does not accept agency resumes. Please do not forward resumes to our jobs alias or Akkio employees. Akkio is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.

We're a small, fast-growing team, and every person here shapes what media's biggest players do next.
How we work
We build with AI the way we expect our partners to run on it: aggressively, thoughtfully, and in production. Our solutions architects use AI agents every day to build demos on real partner data, prototype integrations, pressure-test architectures, and turn a discovery conversation into a working proof point in days, not quarters.
You'll be advising the world's largest media agencies on how to run their business on agentic AI, and that advice only lands if you live it yourself. If you've rebuilt how you work around AI tools and you can show, not just tell, what agentic workflows make possible, you'll feel at home. If you're still evaluating whether AI is ready for real work, this isn't the right role.
The opportunity
The Solutions Architect is the technical face of Akkio during evaluation — the person who earns the technical win. You're cross-account by design: you own POC scoping and definition, demos on partner data, and the deployment architecture that takes a partner live, staying sharp at POC craft by running many engagements rather than living inside one.
You enter at qualified opportunity and drive through the technical win: discovery, the POC gate (named use cases, success criteria, and exit criteria the partner signs), POC execution, and the architecture behind it. At POC signature, a Solutions Strategist shadows the back half of your POC and takes the account at close. Your handoff is warm, and you move to the next win.
There's a career path we keep picturing for this role. You started inside an agency, learning how the work actually gets done and who does it. You moved into AdTech to get closer to the technology and the craft of building product. And in the last few years you've gone deep on AI because you saw where the industry was heading. If that arc sounds like yours, even loosely, we should talk.
This role is built for owners. Enterprise engagements at a fast-moving AI company are rarely fully defined and often shift as we learn from partners. We're looking for someone who treats that as the fun part: someone who takes an ambiguous partner need, shapes it into a solution the platform can deliver, and drives it to the technical win without waiting for a playbook. You build trust by being the most useful person in the room.
What you'll do
Own POC scoping and definition: run the qualification gate — named use cases, success criteria, and exit criteria signed by the partner before the POC starts
Lead technical discovery, architecture sessions, and solution design workshops that translate how agencies plan, build audiences, and measure campaigns into agentic workflows running on Akkio infrastructure
Partner with go-to-market to earn the technical win: scoping and running proofs of concept, building demos on partner data, and giving technical buyers the confidence to say yes
Design deployment architectures that work within each partner's cloud environment, data landscape, and governance requirements — inheriting their governance, access controls, and security model
Run the data work inside the POC: ingestion and transformation design across whatever stack the partner brings (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Postgres, Mongo)
Hand off warm: bring the Solutions Strategist into the POC's back half so the account starts with full context
Productionize the repeatable parts: every second and third repetition becomes a module, a rail, or an agent that makes the next engagement faster
Spot patterns across accounts and bring them back to product and engineering, shaping the roadmap with what you're hearing in the field
Who you are
3+ years in customer-facing technical roles: solution architecture, sales engineering, forward-deployed engineering, data engineering, or agency-side technology leadership
Fluent in the modern AI stack and able to hold your own in deep technical conversations on LLMs, agentic systems, data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks), and cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure)
AI-native as a daily practice: you use LLMs and agents as tools, you have opinions about context management, prompting, and where agents break, and you've built things you can show us
Hands-on data skills: strong SQL, comfort with ingestion/transformation patterns and medallion-style data zones, and experience working directly with campaign, audience, or measurement data
Consultative instincts: you're comfortable in the sales motion, you know how technical evaluations are won, and you influence buying decisions by being credible and useful rather than by pitching
Comfortable with enterprise IT: SSO/SAML, data residency, security reviews, governance inheritance, and named-access requirements at large organizations
You thrive on ownership: you've repeatedly taken loosely defined partner needs and delivered outcomes anyway, filling gaps with judgment rather than waiting for direction
Media experience (strongly preferred)
You know the media business from the inside: how agencies are structured, how planning, buying, audience, and measurement work flows. Direct experience is ideal, but strong familiarity plus curiosity counts, especially early in career. We'll teach the domain to someone who brings the infrastructure depth and the AI instinct.
Seniority is flexible
We care more about trajectory than years logged. An early-career engineer with real cloud/AI depth and media curiosity can grow into this role fast; a senior architect gets scope from day one.
Bonus points
Hands-on experience building with large language models: evals, tool use, agent orchestration, or LLM-powered prototypes you can show us
A network across agency holding companies and independents, and a feel for how buying decisions get made inside them
A public voice in the industry: speaking, writing, or teaching on AI, data, or the future of media
Previous early-stage startup experience
How we partner internally
You (Solutions Architect): cross-account, pre-sales. POC scoping and definition, demos, deployment architecture, technical build within the POC, and the technical win.
Solutions Strategist: account-embedded, post-sales. Owns the account post-POC through adoption and growth; enters at POC signature and takes the account at close.
GCE (Global Client Executive): owns the commercial relationship; converts realized value into references and expansion with the Solutions Strategist.
What to expect in the interview process
Technical deep-dive: a partner-environment architecture scenario — data zones, governance inheritance, pipeline design. We probe for genuine depth vs. surface familiarity.
AI-native working session: build something small with an agent, live. We want to see how you actually work.
Engagement role-play: a messy, underspecified partner ask — we watch how you scope it, what you push back on, and what you commit to.
Why you'll love working here
Build at the frontier. You'll put agentic AI into production at the world's biggest media agencies, not into slideware. You'll have the tools, budget, and encouragement to push what's possible, and you'll get better at this craft faster here than almost anywhere.
Ride real acceleration. Akkio is a well-funded startup in a rapidly accelerating phase with major enterprise partners in production, expanding global deployments, and a market that's moving toward us. Joining now means real ownership of outcomes and real upside: substantial equity, outsized scope, and a direct line from your work to company results.

Location: Remote-first company with no central office location. This position is fully remote; East Coast or New York area is preferred given our partner footprint. Travel for onsites, discovery workshops, and deployments (~15–25%).

About this role
We are looking for a senior partnerships leader to own the commercial success and ongoing relationship with a portfolio of Remote’s most strategic embedded partners.
This person will be responsible for driving bookings & ARR across partner-sold and partner-sourced motions (quota carrying). They will own the revenue line for these partnerships and will be accountable for making the partnerships successful commercially, operationally, and strategically.
The role sits at the intersection of partner relationship management, sales leadership, go-to-market execution, and cross-functional orchestration. The primary focus is commercial: helping partners generate demand, enable their sellers, close deals, improve conversion, and build repeatable motions that allow them to sell Remote products increasingly independently. At the same time, this person will be the senior relationship owner for the partner, responsible for partnership health, executive engagement, issue resolution, and long-term expansion.
This is not a “manage the partner relationship and hope revenue follows” role. It is a commercial leadership role where the partnership relationship exists in service of revenue growth, partner independence, and long-term embedded success.
What you bring
Exceptionally sharp business judgement. You can understand the business objectives and stakeholder dynamics of a complex partner organization, and translate that to concrete actions.
Excellent communicator and evangelist. You can create and consistently communicate the partnership value message within the partner organization and Remote.
Strong operating rigor: you can turn ambiguity into repeatable plans, cadences, and measurable outcomes.
Strong executive presence: you feel comfortable dealing with C-level execs.
Dare to dive deep: you operate cross-functionally with ease; you don’t shy away from detailed discussions with product, engineering, legal or compliance.
Deal maker: you create proposals ‘you can say yes to’ that create long term sustainable economics for both parties. You are able to be firm when needed.
Manage through influence: you are able to work with large strategic partners where success depends on influencing another company’s sales, marketing, product, and leadership teams.
Experience building, hiring and managing a high-performance team.
Willingness to travel 20–40%.
Experience owning revenue motions and owning a number. You own outcomes.
Experience in top-tier consulting, finance, or big tech - and in B2B tech startups/scaleups. You have the big and the small.
Experience building and operating new businesses, product, or sales motion. You build new systems, don’t just operate within them.
Bonus points for experience in HR Tech, Fin Tech, or Embedded partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Own commercial outcomes for strategic embedded partners
Own a portfolio of Remote’s largest embedded HR technology partnerships.
Carry an annual bookings target of $10M+.
Be accountable for the commercial performance of the partnership, including pipeline generation, conversion, bookings, ARR, ASP, retention, and expansion.
Build and execute partner account plans that translate strategic partnership potential into measurable revenue outcomes.
Identify where revenue is blocked, where and why performance is below potential, and what needs to change across partner GTM, Remote GTM, product, process, enablement, pricing, or operations.
Manage commercial exceptions, pricing escalations, deal support, and channel conflicts where needed.
Make partners independently successful
Help partner sellers become increasingly independent in generating, qualifying, selling, and closing Remote opportunities.
Build repeatable partner sales motions across partner-sold, partner-sourced, and co-sold opportunities.
Work with partner sales leaders to embed Remote into their teams’ priorities, workflows, sales processes, and incentives.
Partner with enablement, solutions consulting, partner marketing, and embedded sales teams to ensure partner sellers know what to sell, how to sell it, and when to bring Remote in.
Drive a clear path from Remote-supported selling to partner-led selling, with the goal of reducing unnecessary dependency on Remote while improving commercial outcomes.
Lead senior partner relationships
Own the overall relationship health with strategic embedded partners.

We encourage every member of the Remote team to bring their talents, experiences and culture to the table to help us build the best-in-class HR platform.
If you are energetic, curious, motivated and ambitious, be part of our world. Apply now and define the future of work!
Build trusted relationships with senior / C-level stakeholders within the partner organization across sales, marketing, product, operations, and executive leadership.
Keep partners engaged, motivated, and accountable to the joint commercial plan.
Unblock issues that slow down revenue growth or damage partner confidence.
Run structured business reviews with clear performance insights, decisions, next steps, and ownership.
Ensure the partner sees Remote as a critical strategic partner, not just another integration or referral option.
Define the embedded partner GTM model across the partner portfolio
Define, test, and optimize sales motions across partner-sold, partner-sourced, and co-sold models. Turn successful experiments into repeatable playbooks that can be used across partners.
Create playbooks for demand generation, enablement, sales process, partner seller activation, deal support, QBRs, and partner performance management.
Advise and influence partners to implement best practices for demand generation and embedded sales in their own organizations.
Identify friction between channels and work with Sales, Partnerships, RevOps, and leadership to resolve it. Share learnings so that Remote gets better with every partnership, not just within one account.
Identify opportunities to expand existing embedded partnerships into new products, markets, customer segments, regions, or sales motions.
Manage and develop a high performing team
Manage a team of partner account managers and embedded sales leads supporting the partner portfolio. Set clear priorities, operating rhythms, and performance expectations for the team.
Coach the team to balance short-term deal support with the longer-term goal of making partner sellers more independent.
Orchestrate Remote cross-functionally
Act as the commercial and relationship orchestrator across Remote for the partner portfolio.
Work closely with Product, Solution Architecture, Partner Marketing, Solutions Consulting, Legal, Compliance, Operations, CX, Implementation, RevOps, and Partner Success.
Ensure internal stakeholders understand the commercial priorities, partner context, trade-offs, and urgency.
Escalate clearly when decisions, resources, product changes, or executive support are needed.
