Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team:
Web Presence & Platform (WPP) is organized into two pillars: Platform and Presence. The Platform pillar builds internal systems, tooling, and infrastructure to support the web. The Presence pillar owns Stripe’s public-facing storytelling across stripe.com, including our homepage, product landing pages, industry and solutions pages, and other high-impact go-to-market surfaces. Together, we shape how millions of people understand what Stripe is and what it can do for them.
Designers on the Presence team work at the intersection of craft and impact—balancing clarity, polish, and systems thinking with strategic storytelling and experimentation. We collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, content, and product to deliver work that is not only beautiful, but measurably moves the business.
What you’ll do
As a Designer on the Presence team, you'll contribute to the strategy and execution of Stripe’s most visible web surfaces. You’ll design new product pages, evolve storytelling for specific industries or audiences, and refine reusable patterns that make it easier to scale exceptional work across stripe.com. This is a high-impact role for a thoughtful, collaborative designer who deeply values visual craft, user clarity, and iteration.
We’re looking for someone who’s excited to operate at the intersection of storytelling, systems, and scale—and who takes pride in the pixels. Your work will directly shape how millions of users understand Stripe, and help convert interest into action across a range of audiences—from founders to enterprise CTOs.
Responsibilities
- Design new and improved experiences across stripe.com, including product, industry, and solution landing pages
- Collaborate with engineers, PMMs, and content designers to define problems, explore solutions, and bring them to life
- Partner with other designers to maintain and evolve systems that uphold Stripe’s design standards at scale
- Balance storytelling with usability to create pages that are engaging, credible, and easy to navigate
- Use user research, user testing, and data to guide and validate your decisions
- Participate in critique and feedback sessions, contributing to the overall quality bar of the team
- Demonstrate a meticulous attention to craft—ensuring designs are not only functional, but visually excellent
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these, we encourage you to apply—even if you don’t meet every preferred qualification.

- A strong portfolio of web design work that demonstrates exceptional visual design skills, systems thinking, and attention to detail
- Ability to independently scope and lead small to medium-sized projects
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Fluency in layout, typography, color, hierarchy, and interaction fundamentals
- Comfortable using Figma and working in component-based systems
- Experience working on CMS-driven websites and modular systems
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with front-end development workflows or an ability to speak fluently with engineers
- Understanding of web performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices
- Experience designing for international audiences or multilingual websites
- Previous experience in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
How we work
We care deeply about craft—but also about moving with urgency and focus. We seek feedback early and often, because we believe design gets stronger through collaboration and iteration. We keep our users front and center—whether that’s a small business owner evaluating Stripe for the first time, or a CTO trying to understand a complex product at a glance. And we take pride in delivering work that is not only beautiful and precise, but that delivers clear, measurable impact.
We value curiosity, humility, and resilience. You’ll do well here if you love to learn, enjoy working across disciplines, and bring energy and optimism into your work.
This is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow. Designers on the Presence team have gone on to lead major product launches, shape system-wide improvements, and take on leadership roles.
