We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regulatory Licensing Attorney to join our dynamic Legal team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the firm’s primary subject matter expert on CFTC and NFA firm-level licensing, guiding the business through the end-to-end registration lifecycle and the evolving regulatory landscape of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA). Operating at the intersection of legal strategy and commercial reality in the fast-paced crypto space, you will provide critical legal counsel on OTC and cleared derivatives, margin lending, and privacy considerations for new business lines, balancing regulatory compliance with the firm's strategic objectives.

Technical Skills:
Regulatory Advisory: Serve as the primary legal expert on the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and NFA Rules, advising the firm on the obligations associated with being a licensed firm.
Licensing & Registration Management: Lead the end-to-end strategy for obtaining and maintaining regulatory licenses, including managing the registration lifecycle and navigating complex exemption frameworks.
Margin Lending Arrangements: Draft, review, and negotiate complex margin lending agreements with sophisticated institutional counterparties.
Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate specialized regulatory agreements, including ISDA/CSA documentation, and disclosure documents required for regulatory compliance.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with Trading, Operations, Risk, and Engineering teams to embed CFTC/NFA compliance requirements directly into trading workflows and platform architecture.
Regulatory Horizon Scanning: Proactively monitor and interpret shifts in CFTC mandates and NFA interpretive notices, advising the executive team on necessary pivots to business strategy.
Audit & Examination Leadership: Lead the legal response to regulatory inquiries and NFA examinations, managing the preparation, document production, and strategic communication with regulators.
High-Stakes Problem Solving: Act as a prolific individual contributor on complex projects, such as launching new derivative asset classes or navigating cross-border regulatory shifts.
Risk Mitigation: Drive the development of internal "Rules-to-Workflow" frameworks to prevent regulatory breaches, ensuring the firm’s "right to operate" remains uncompromised.
Organizational Knowledge:
Strong understanding of Anchorage Digital’s strategy to successfully lead regulatory licensing projects while taking into consideration the goals of the team you are supporting.
As progress is made on the licensing applications, making sure knowledge is shared across the appropriate teams .
Ability to prioritize work based on company’s goals and communicate the ‘why’ behind your work.
Communication and Influence:
Build close cross-functional relationships with product, engineering, operations, and other teams to develop new products, improve existing businesses, identify and resolve legal issues, structure complex agreements, and improve efficiency.
Strong communication skills (internally and externally)
Ability to be client-facing while working with cross-functional teams on multiple projects internally
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
J.D. degree with a focus on financial services, commodities, or corporate law.
4+ years of experience practicing law, with at least 3+ years specifically focused on CFTC and NFA regulatory matters.
Deep knowledge and practical experience with the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and the Dodd-Frank Act (Title VII).
Technical proficiency in derivatives, including a solid understanding of OTC products, margin lending, and the legal life cycle of futures and swaps.
Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills, with specific experience handling ISDA/CSA documentation or clearing agreements.
Demonstrated experience working closely with the business and cross-functional teams (Trading, Engineering, and Risk) to build new financial products, solve complex jurisdictional issues, and strategize for scale.
Enthusiasm for crypto and a foundational understanding of how digital assets intersect with CFTC/NFA jurisdiction and the evolving global regulatory landscape.
Demonstrated experience with close attention to detail and the ability to manage complex licensing applications and regulatory audits simultaneously.
The ability to execute with moderate supervision, balancing aggressive commercial growth targets with the necessity of rigorous legal and regulatory compliance.
Previous in-house legal experience at a fintech firm, hedge fund, major financial institution, or a specialist regulatory practice at a top-tier law firm.
Familiarity with market infrastructure, including electronic trading platforms, central clearing, and the operational complexities of margin and collateral management.

The Core Experience team is responsible for owning and maintaining foundational functionality that is critical to the platform, including authorization systems, identity management, policy administration, and user administration capabilities. As a Product Manager on this team, you'll be focused on building secure, scalable, and robust solutions that form the essential backbone of Anchorage's entire platform infrastructure. Your work will enable and empower teams across the entire organization by providing them with robust authentication mechanisms, comprehensive access controls, and core administrative capabilities that they depend on daily.

As the Head of Global Markets, you are a foundational leader within our Prime Services business. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Prime Services, you are responsible for the strategic vision, P&L, and institutional scaling of the Global Markets division. This role is designed for a builder who has successfully managed business units generating $100M+ in annual revenue and oversaw substantial institutional-scale balance sheets.
You will lead a high-performing organization of 20+ professionals, ranging from junior staff to Managing Directors. You must be comfortable building and deeply understanding the product at a technical level, with the unique ability to navigate selling ahead—driving revenue where the product is now while simultaneously building a pipeline for where the product will be. This role requires a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, can navigate the sophisticated requirements of the world’s largest institutional clients, and takes ultimate responsibility for the division's risk profile through deep partnership with the Risk team.

As Trading Operations Team Lead, you are responsible for building and managing a global team of trading operations professionals that support our clients in their daily trading activities. You will play a crucial role in building the infrastructure of the post-trade lifecycle of the activity of various digital asset instruments, ensuring timely settlements, reconciliation and implementing strong risk mitigation strategies. This position requires a deep understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, financial operations, and risk management. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver at heart, possess strong technical skills, the ability to handle complex tasks, organizational knowledge, and effective communication and influence capabilities to help drive business outcomes. Leverage deep understanding of traditional financial services, products and strategies as required to provide thought leadership and strategic support to Anchorage Digital clients and the goals they have to implement their own strategies.
Lead efforts to develop and refine processes for managing Counterparty and Client post trade processing, defining performance metrics (SLAs, KPIs) and ensuring that they are met while enabling operational scalability.

Perform cash positioning and inventory management for various product flows to ensure that we have the right assets at the right place at the right time to optimize the firm’s treasury management, mitigate risks, and streamline settlement processes.

As a Member of Client Operations, ACH you are responsible for supporting the day-to-day processing and reconciliation of client cash movements. In this role, you ensure an excellent operational experience by reviewing client transactions in a timely and accurate manner. You will become intimately familiar with the operations of our clients and their use of our platform. You will have a full understanding of our fiat operations, as well as the regulatory and operational considerations of each step. You will work closely with your Client Operations teammates to ensure processes and procedures are developed and continuously refined.

In this role you will:
Service institutional clients by managing operational tasks, developing and executing operational processes in support of our clients needs, and performing transaction reviews and approvals.
Execute and monitor the daily processing of client cash deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, primarily via ACH.
Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of cash accounts.
Investigate and resolve operational inquiries and issues related to cash transactions.
Ensure all processes adhere to established procedures and internal controls.
Maintain a strong understanding of relevant regulations, including Reg E and Dodd-Frank rules.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Client Experience, Sales, Compliance, and Product, to develop operational solutions to complex client requests.
Technical Skills:
Experience supporting operational needs of institutional clients in a financial services setting, with a familiarity with US Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) requirements
Maintain an understanding of traditional financial services, products and strategies as required to provide support to Anchorage clients and the goals they have to implement their own strategies.
Capable of navigating and learning various systems and tools such as Salesforce, JIRA, Looker.
Ability to execute the end-to-end processing of fiat operations for institutional clients. This includes receiving, verifying, and reviewing ACH operations accurately and in a timely manner.
