Senior Product Designer, Funnel Conversion (Remote)
Boston, MA
Apply
ezCater is the #1 food tech platform for workplaces in the US. The company makes it easy for any organization to manage its food needs and order from over 125,000 restaurants nationwide. For workplaces, ezCater provides flexible and scalable solutions for everything from employee meal programs to one-off meetings, all backed by 24/7 service and business-grade reliability. For restaurant partners, ezCater helps grow their business by bringing them new high-value customers and large orders.
As Senior Product Designer on the Funnel Conversion pod, you'll own the experience that turns intent into a completed order: helping customers build the order they need from a menu, and giving them an intuitive, frictionless checkout to complete it. This is one of the highest-leverage surfaces at ezCater and every improvement in how people browse, build, and check out compounds directly into GMV and conversion. You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Research to find and remove friction across the full path from menu to confirmed order, for both individual and group orders.
What You'll Do:
Own the menu-to-checkout journey end to end, designing across menu browsing, item selection, cart, checkout, group ordering, and account sign up/in, so the path from discovery to completed order feels seamless rather than stitched together across surfaces.
Partner with Product and Analytics on experimentation, defining hypotheses, designing tests, and interpreting results to decide when to iterate, when to pivot, and when a friction point warrants a deeper structural fix rather than a quick patch.
Design for the complexity of group ordering alongside single-order checkout, ensuring both experiences share a coherent system rather than diverging into two disconnected products.
Raise the bar on interaction, systems, and visual design as you craft user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes. Contribute to and advocate for our design system so the funnel feels consistent, scalable, and accessible across every surface a customer touches on their way to checkout.
Facilitate alignment across disciplines, running workshops, critiques, and working sessions that help Product, Engineering, and Analytics converge on where to invest next, and bring partners along with clear storytelling and artifacts.
Use AI-powered tools to move faster across the design process, from early prototyping to research synthesis, and help raise the bar for how the broader team adopts them.
What You Have:
5+ years of experience as a product designer, UX designer, interaction designer, or similar role, with accompanying experience in visual/graphic design.
Comfort designing systems, not just screens—understanding how individual decisions scale across complex customer journeys, edge cases, and future functionality.
Demonstrated ability to independently identify opportunities, frame ambiguous problems, and influence product direction—not just execute against predefined requirements.
A track record of shaping what teams work on, not just how it looks — helping teams to solve clearly framed problems with measurable outcomes.
A positive attitude and the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback, as well as regularly seeking feedback on your own performance.
Proficiency with the Figma suite, Claude design, and prototyping tools.
Experience designing with and contributing to a robust design system.
A detailed portfolio that showcases:
Strong storytelling and communication skills that show you can explain complex flows and tradeoffs in ways that resonate with both technical and non-technical partners.
Well-developed collaboration and facilitation skills. You're as thoughtful about how teams work together as you are about the pixels.
A sharp mind, a soft heart, and a large funny bone.
Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings, and other events, when applicable.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience designing checkout, cart, or payment flows specifically, including handling error states, payment failures, or fraud-related friction.
Experience designing group ordering, multi-participant, or collaborative purchasing experiences.
Experience in the restaurant, catering, delivery, or gig space.
Experience with service design, journey mapping, or complex operational workflows that cross multiple teams and tools.
Experience working in experimentation-heavy environments (e.g., A/B testing, incremental UX improvements guided by data).
Familiarity with approaches like Jobs To Be Done, systems thinking, or other frameworks for structuring complex problem spaces.
The national total target cash compensation range for this position, including base salary and bonus target, is $146,000–$187,000 annually.*
*Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise and region & may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits (such as equity, 401K or medical, dental or vision insurance).
ezCater does not sponsor applicants for work visas or legal permanent residence.
What You’ll Get from Us:
You’ll get a terrifically compelling experience in an innovative, high performing environment. You’ll get to work with engaged and passionate colleagues on challenging and impactful projects. You will have opportunities to grow in your career, and work in a place that values work/life harmony.
Oh, and you’ll get all this: Market competitive salary, stock options that you’ll help make worth a lot, 12 paid holidays, flexible PTO, 401K with ezCater match, health/dental/FSA, long-term disability insurance, mental health and family planning resources, remote-hybrid work from our awesome Boston office OR your home OR a mixture of both home and office, a tremendous amount of responsibility and autonomy, wicked awesome co-workers, employee meal program (and many more goodies) when you’re in our office, and knowing that you helped transform the food for work space.

At Linear, we're building the product development system for teams and agents. AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built, and we’re shaping the tools this new era requires.
Founded in 2019, Linear has become the platform of choice for more than 40,000 companies (including OpenAI, Coinbase, and Ramp) to plan, build, and ship their products. Today, our team is distributed across North America, Europe, and Australia, and we’re continuing to grow internationally. What unites us is relentless focus, fast execution, and a deep care for software craftsmanship.
Quality is our competitive advantage. Every member of our fully remote team is a maker at heart, caring deeply about the quality and feel of our work. While the industry optimizes for speed and metrics alone, we believe that craft and quality have lasting value. Quality creates gravity — it pulls people toward our team and product rather than requiring us to push. This philosophy drives everything we do, from product decisions to hiring choices.
For this role, we expect robust design skills, sharp product thinking, and the ability to engage in technical discussions. We work in small, autonomous project teams, where engineers are paired tightly with designers to explore ideas, build prototypes, deploy internal builds, and ultimately ship to customers. You will be a key element of projects from beginning to end.
Location & work mode
Linear is a remote-first company, with optional co-working offices in San Francisco, New York, and London. This role is open to candidates based in North America. You can work from anywhere within this region. We value deep focus and async collaboration, with intentional moments to connect in person through team off-sites, optional co-working, and occasional travel.
What you'll do
- Own the experience of our iOS and Android mobile apps, including guiding the adaptation of desktop features to mobile
- Pair closely with mobile engineers and product leads to initiate and complete mobile-specific projects, no hand-offs
- Take opportunities to redesign or refine key screens and flows, as well as smaller quality issues and “paper cuts” as you use Linear
- Create mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to communicate ideas and describe their execution
- Guide and inspire fellow designers through collaborative critique of work-in-progress across both mobile and desktop platforms
- Use and improve our lightweight design system components
- Help with hiring new teammates that can elevate our team and product
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years experience designing software, with mobile-specific emphasis
- Courage to ask questions, experiment, and advocate for what you feel is right
- Humility to accept feedback, adapt your thinking, and iterate toward the best solution
- Experience with prototyping directly in code, or with tools like Figma, Origami, etc
- Ability to distill problems and feedback, then design clear, focused solutions
- Effective written and verbal communication skills — much of our work is async
What we offer
We're a small, focused team that cares deeply about the quality of our work and the people we do it with. Here's what you can expect:
- Competitive salary and equity
- Employee-friendly equity terms including early exercise in the US and extended exercise windows
- Daily meal and coffee stipend on every workday
- Paid co-working space or desk
- Health coverage (based on country requirements)
- 5 weeks paid vacation, plus local statutory holidays
- 4 months paid parental leave
- Paid month off after 4 years & every 2 years thereafter
- Regular team events and off-sites
- Remote-first with no required commute

Overview
Application
We're building a world-class team of game-makers: folks bursting with creativity, who balance candor with compassion, and hold themselves and their peers accountable to what's best for players.
We are looking for an experienced Principal UX Designer to join our design team and help build and ship best-in-class UI/UX for our upcoming title. This role will report directly to the Design Director.
What you'll do:
Own the game's end-to-end UX: player journeys, friction, gameplay flows, and an information architecture that keeps things consistent while guiding and delighting players along the way
Design and ship high-quality UI/UX at a pace that keeps engineering and cross-functional partners moving, working hands-on in Unreal Engine 5 and partnering closely with our UI Engineer to keep implementation aligned with UX intent
Own production of UI assets, deciding the right mix of in-house craft, AI-assisted tooling, and outside support to hit the volume and quality the game needs
Set the craft bar for the discipline: build and maintain UX/UI standards, systems, and style guides, and give real direction to other contributors working in the space
Represent design in cross-functional efforts, mentor other contributors, and help push the discipline's tools and practices forward
You are a great fit if:
You have 10+ years of experience as a UX and UI expert and a track record of owning ambiguous, high-complexity design problems with minimal oversight
You think in systems. You empathize deeply with all types of players and their needs, and you find solutions that feel obvious in hindsight
You've shipped games, and you understand what shipping actually takes
You're fast and comfortable working directly in Unreal Engine 5 (or a comparable engine)
You've built or scaled UX/UI standards for a team before, and you enjoy mentoring other designers
Please note - research shows that certain groups of candidates may not apply to jobs unless they meet every single requirement. If you see yourself at Believer but don't check every requirement, we would still love to be in touch with you for current and future opportunities.
What we offer:
Annual salary range: $185,000-$230,000
Making great games is hard, so we do our best to make the other parts less hard.
Great compensation package and equity
Medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance. Believer pays 100% of monthly costs for these plans
10 observed holidays + 10 days for Winter Break and "Take What You Need" PTO policy
Remote-friendly team #LI-Remote
