Location: US - Remote - this candidate must be located in the Seattle, Portland, or San Francisco Bay Area to be considered. We’re looking to hire a Solutions Architect, to join the Field Engineering team. As a Solutions Architect, you will lead the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of dbt for our largest enterprise and majors customers. In this role, you can expect to: Become an expert in designing enterprise-grade data pipelines with dbt Cloud Work hand-in-hand with sales to communicate the technical value of the dbt Labs suite of products Guide customers through proof-of-concept implementations and facilitate trials of dbt Cloud Work with engineering to deploy dbt Cloud in private clouds for enterprise clients Own the full customer lifecycle from pre-sale evaluation to product adoption and expansion Work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap Build close relationships with our Partners (including companies like Snowflake, AWS, and Databricks) and enable them to adopt and implement dbt for their clients Be an active member of the dbt community We are looking for someone who has: 4+ years of sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI A solid technical background, with experience in SQL, ETL, and data modeling A firm understanding of and ability to discuss modern data warehousing architectures Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment A passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community Nice to haves: Prior experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt Experience with Data Modeling methods such as dimensional, data vault, Kimball, 3NF Experience with traditional Enterprise ETL tooling (Informatica, Boomi, Talend) What to expect in the hiring process (all video interviews unless accommodations are needed): Interview with Talent Acquisition Partner Interview with Hiring Manager Team Interviews, including mock demo Benefits at dbt Labs Unlimited vacation time with a culture that actively encourages time off 401k plan with 3% guaranteed company contribution Comprehensive healthcare coverage Generous paid parental leave Health & wellness stipend Flexible stipends for: Home office setup Learning and development Office space And more! The OTE range for this role in Seattle is $219,458.75 - $274,323.75 The compensation range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire compensation for the target position and level, and may include sales incentives or target bonuses depending on the role. About the Dialership Program At Dialpad, Continuous Innovation and Doing the Right Thing aren't just values — they're how we build. The Dialership Program is our way of opening that door. Dialership is a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes of an Agentic AI-powered technology company — one that is actively leading the shift from AI that simply answers to AI that reasons, decides, and acts. Participants spend 2 hours per week exploring the different business functions that power Dialpad, gaining insights and coaching directly from leaders at the forefront of the agentic era. The program runs virtually from June through August 2027. Because our focus is education, no work projects will be assigned, and the program is unpaid. Upon successful completion, Dialership participants will receive a certificate of completion to share on their resume and LinkedIn. Your role As a Dialership participant, you'll attend two sessions per week and hear directly from Dialers about their roles, what they and their teams are working on, their career journeys, and the skills they believe matter most for success in the industry. Every session is designed to be both informative and interactive, giving you a real look at what each function does and how it all comes together inside an Agentic AI company. Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We’re looking for a talented Sales Engineer to join our Enterprise sales team. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will work closely with our sales team to understand our Enterprise customers’ complex business needs and showcase how Fivetran’s data replication solutions can help them achieve their desired business outcomes. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise, identifying technical requirements, and supporting a regimented proof-of-value process throughout the sales cycle. Technologies You’ll Use AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Kafka, Grafana, Linux, Windows, Python, Java, Iceberg, various data catalogs What You’ll Do Work with Enterprise customers to understand their business, their use cases, and their data replication requirements Develop and deliver technical presentations to Enterprise audiences Ensure the technical win by running a tight proof-of-value process Work closely with Fivetran’s Product and Engineering teams to ensure alignment of our solutions to Enterprise customer needs Develop and maintain relationships with key Enterprise customers and partners Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in our industry Skills We’re Looking For 7+ years in data replication, sales engineering, or related technical field Strong technical background covering database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data replication technologies Experience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses and data lakes, transformation tooling, data catalogs, and BI tools Excellent communication and presentation skills with a keen ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Optional Bonus Skills Experience with Oracle, SQL Server & MySQL databases Hands on experience with other data replication or ETL tools Experience with self-hosted software applications and supporting infrastructure Hands on networking experience both in the cloud and on-premise This position qualifies for Fivetran’s incentive plan, and it’s common for employees in this role to achieve the total on-target earnings. As part of our commitment to setting new hires up for success, all new sales team members attend a one-week, in-person Revenue Bootcamp during their second week at Fivetran. OPEN ROLE Sales Engineer, Enterprise Remote Hex's user base is continuing to grow rapidly. We are hiring a Sales Engineer to partner with potential customers to support their Hex evaluations. About the role Hex is redefining how teams work with data - combining notebooks, apps, BI, and AI-native workflows into a single collaborative analytics platform. Enterprises like StubHub, Rivian and Reddit, rely on Hex as a core part of how their data teams operate. We’re at an exciting stage of growth. This is a high-impact moment to join: our go-to-market motion is accelerating, our AI capabilities are changing the foundation of data work, and Sales Engineers play a central role in shaping how we win. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will leverage your product, ecosystem, and technical expertise to shape how our potential customers evaluate and adopt Hex. You will partner with the Sales team to help prospects understand the challenges in their current state, connect Hex’s value to those challenges, own the technical evaluation, and set them up for long-term success as a customer. This is a consultative, highly technical position where you’ll influence deal strategy, inform product direction, and act as the voice of the customer. What you will do Serve as a trusted technical advisor to data teams & C-level executives (think: Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, CIOs, AI deployment leads) and build strong relationships to help them get the most out of Hex during their evaluations Own the technical sales cycle and work with Hex end users throughout the Sales cycle: discovery, product demos, proofs of concept & initial deployment Partner closely with Account Executives to develop opportunity-level strategy, execute evaluations, and share feedback to improve your partnership Inform the product roadmap by synthesizing product feedback from prospects to share with internal Engineering & Product teams Project manage the architecture, security, and technical reviews that prospects require Develop content to support users who are a part of evaluations ie. demo projects, documentation, videos, etc. As needed, travel to customer on-sites and marketing events to deliver demos and build strong customer relationships Who you might be You might be a fit for this role if you have: 5+ years experience in a technical Pre-Sales role Experience working with Enterprise customers with over 2500 employees Experience with POC/Technical Sales Motions/Deployment Engineering to land new logos Familiarity with data science tooling and workflows, including Python, SQL, and BI tools (Bonus points if you have spent lots of time in notebooks, SQL IDEs, or semantic modeling tools) A strong track record of talking to customers - from IC users to senior stakeholders - and solving their problems You're an excellent communicator who builds empathy, shares feedback, and grows successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders A generalist technical skillset: you don't need a CS degree, but should have a passion and interest for technology and be a creative problem solver Experience or interest in working in an early-stage startup environment In addition to our unique culture, Hex proudly offers a competitive total rewards package, including but not limited to, market-benched salary & equity, comprehensive health benefits, and flexible paid time off. The OTE (base + variable) range for this role is: $210,000 - $265,000 The salary range shown may be a reflection of additional factors such as geographical location and skill ranges/levels we’re open to.
