The Infrastructure Team

Bring gigawatts of accelerators from first power-on to production. Facility availability to ready-for-service across thousands of racks per site, with a new data hall landing every few weeks.
Make rack qualification faster than the fleet grows. Firmware baselines, burn-in, and cluster validation proven on every rack before a customer workload touches it, at a pace that never becomes the critical path.
Scale by tooling, not headcount. Deployed megawatts grow severalfold next year while the team stays near-flat, because anything done twice by hand becomes software.
Role Scope
Own compute turn-up from facility availability to ready-for-service: the stretch after the network hands off and before customers run workloads.
Qualify racks at scale: establish firmware baselines, configure BMC and BIOS, run burn-in, and validate at node and cluster level across hundreds of racks per site on GPU and custom accelerator platforms.
Drive qualification through the base-management Kubernetes platform and provisioning stack (discovery, imaging, firmware updates, shared services), burning down qual queues with tooling rather than manual runs.
Triage hardware failures found in qualification: isolate to component, drive RMA and vendor escalation, and feed failure patterns back into the qual gates.
Run turn-up remotely by default, with on-site pulses of roughly a week per data hall as new halls reach facility availability, plus occasional overlapping-site weeks.
Partner with network deployment, ICT, data center operations, and hardware teams during turn-up windows, and support incident response on freshly-live capacity.
Ability to travel 30-40% of the time to our Data Centers and Labs, as needed.

You work deep in Linux and out-of-band management: BMC, IPMI, and Redfish are daily tools for you, not occasional lookups.
You've automated hardware workflows in Python or Go rather than clicking through them, and the second time you do anything by hand you turn it into software.
You've worked physically in data halls, racking, cabling, and swapping components, and you're just as effective acting as remote hands or directing them.
You triage failures methodically across hardware, firmware, and software, isolating the fault to a component before reaching for a fix.
You travel for turn-up windows when a new data hall comes online.

Role Scope
Own emergency preparedness end to end: pre-incident response planning and training with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction, the facility Emergency Response Teams, and readiness for fire and medical events at every scale.
Lead facility fire risk assessments and partner with Health and Safety on hazardous materials code compliance, covering Maximum Allowable Quantities, non-compatibles, and other AHJ storage and use requirements.
Own the fire and life safety program: budget, third-party consultant relationships, contracted Inspection, Testing and Maintenance with quality assurance review of every deliverable, and the Hot Work and Impairment programs.
Partner with Design and Delivery on plan review and commissioning of fire and life safety systems so protection is engineered in at the design stage, not bolted on after handover.
Lead incident investigations using 5-Why and fault tree analysis, drive corrective and preventive actions to closure, and serve as site liaison to OSHA and state-plan agencies such as ADOSH for inspections, citations, and record-keeping.
Run the routine inspection program of walkthroughs and Gemba observations, sit on the Joint Health and Safety Committee, and report leading and lagging safety KPIs to leadership monthly.

You’ve conducted plan review and commissioning of fire and life safety systems per NFPA, FM, and IFC codes and standards, working with design engineers to build safety in at the design stage, and identified gaps that resulted in properly functioning systems.
You hold a technical Fire Protection background: signing off on complex fire and life safety systems and ensuring their operation requires it.
You’ve conducted fire and life safety risk assessments per NFPA, FM, and IFC/IBC requirements and turned findings into safeguards that were actually built and enacted.
You’ve managed and developed emergency response team members, fire inspectors, coordinators, or fire alarm and sprinkler technicians, and owned a program budget and vendor relationships, not just directed contractors.
You’ve led root-cause investigations using 5-Why or fault tree analysis on a manufacturing floor and closed out the corrective actions, not just filed them.
You’ve been the site point of contact for local or state Fire Marshals, OSHA, or state-plan (ADOSH) inspections, and closed out findings without repeat citations.
You track leading and lagging safety metrics and use them to change what leadership prioritizes month to month.

About the Role
Fluidstack, a leading cloud provider, is looking for a Platform Engineer to build the foundational platforms that enable our global infrastructure and data center operations. You'll develop comprehensive internal tooling across multiple domains—CMDB, asset management, DCIM, monitoring and observability, security, and operational automation—that streamline how we deploy, manage, and operate infrastructure at scale. Cross-Functional Partnership
Collaborate with data center operations, system engineering, network engineering, and security teams to understand requirements and deliver high-impact solutions

Technical Leadership
Evaluate build vs. buy decisions for platform components, weighing in-house development against commercial SaaS and open-source solutions for scalability, cost, and flexibility

Participate in architecture reviews and design discussions, contributing to technical direction and standards
Foster technical excellence through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing

About You
3+ years of professional software development experience building production systems
Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages with understanding of system design patterns
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, data models, and distributed systems
Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.)
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and Linux/Unix environments
Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to scalability, reliability, and operational concerns

Role Scope
Represent Fluidstack at town halls, public hearings, planning commission meetings, and community events as the primary external face across active development sites.
Build and hold relationships across a wide stakeholder matrix: elected officials, city and county staff, utility partners, school districts, workforce development organizations, nonprofits, and trade associations.
Identify and get ahead of organized opposition before capital is committed, surfacing reputational, regulatory, and political risk in coordination with Development, Legal, and Commercial teams.
Deploy community benefit commitments, including local hiring programs, educational partnerships, and grants, and write communications materials that translate infrastructure complexity into clear narratives for community, government, and executive audiences.
Manage external partners, including lobbyists, consultants, and PR agencies, across multiple concurrent site campaigns.
What We're Looking For

The Data Center Operations Team

Operate at the scale of a nation, not a building. The fleet you run will draw more power than some countries, on the way to 10s to 100s of GWs.
Fly the plane while it's being built. Sites come online in pieces, and you keep the live ones running flawlessly while construction continues around them.
Write the playbook, don't inherit it. No prior operations org has run at this speed and scale, so the standards you set become the standard.
Role Scope
Own the end-to-end site handover framework: define the gates, acceptance criteria, and sign-off procedures that move a new facility from construction to live operations without dropped terms or late surprises.
Embed into design, construction, and due diligence teams early enough to shape maintainability requirements before they become field problems.
Drive the cross-functional handover rhythm across training, documentation, systems access, and knowledge transfer, surfacing blockers weeks before they hit the go-live schedule.
Build and maintain the SOPs that govern critical datacenter operations across the fleet, with metrics that track adoption, execution quality, and efficiency at each site.
Lead incident management and stability improvement programs, including post-incident reviews with root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and preventive maintenance oversight that reduces unplanned outages across the global footprint.
Produce the dashboards and reporting that give leadership visibility into stability metrics and incident trends, and run the CAPA programs that turn that data into durable fixes.
What We're Looking For

You have run program management in mission-critical environments where a delayed handover or missed SOP had real operational consequences, not just schedule slippage.
You have designed operational frameworks from scratch: handover gates, SOP libraries, incident management programs built without a legacy system to copy from.
You quarterback across design, construction, supply chain, and site ops teams simultaneously, and other teams call you when a cross-functional workstream is stuck.
You write clearly enough to distill a complex operational issue into a decision and a next action for a site lead, an executive, or a counterparty who was not in the room.
You track incident trends and CAPA status in live dashboards and follow corrective actions through to closure, not just to initial assignment.
You have personally built or maintained SOPs and measured whether they were actually followed, not just whether they existed.
Bonus: ITIL, PMP, or PgMP certification. Hyperscale or large colo operator experience. Familiarity with ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, or TIA-942 standards. Exposure to datacenter construction and commissioning processes.
