About Us:
Homebound is on a mission to make it possible for anyone, anywhere, to build a home using technology. Created by an experienced team of construction, real estate, design, and technology experts, Homebound is transforming the residential construction industry by improving the costly and inefficient process of building a home.
We’ve created an entirely new way to build homes with technology powering every stage from start to finish to provide a seamless experience for our customers. Homeowners across the country can choose where they want to live, select a home plan that’s perfect for them, then personalize and buy it, all online. Homebound has raised $150M in capital from leading venture capitalists like Google, Khosla, Thrive Ventures, and we’re scaling quickly in places like Texas, Colorado and Florida. Come build your future with us.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to help us accelerate how homes get built.
This is a broad, high-leverage role for a product manager who wants surface area. You will own critical parts of our platform end-to-end - the systems that price a home, schedule a build, manage cost and margin, coordinate trade partners, and give our teams the information they need to make faster, better decisions. Where you focus will evolve with the business, and you will be trusted to pick up and own new squads as our priorities shift.
The through-line is speed. Every week we take off a build cycle, every dollar of variance we catch early, and every decision we can automate compounds across every home we build. You will be measured on real operational outcomes - cycle time, cost accuracy, margin, throughput, adoption - not on shipping features.
Much of this work runs on genuinely complex data: cost structures, budgets and actuals, change orders, draw schedules, vendor pricing, and multi-month probabilistic schedules. We need the kind of PM who goes into the data personally, notices when a number does not reconcile, and cares about getting it exactly right - because our operators and our financials depend on it.
AI is not a separate track here - it is deeply integrated into the platform, and we expect it to be part of how every new feature gets designed. The default question on any problem is not “what screen does the user need?” but “how much of this can the system decide, predict, draft, or eliminate outright?” We want a PM who reaches for LLMs, agents, and applied ML as first-class primitives in the product, holds a clear view of where they genuinely outperform deterministic logic, and is equally clear-eyed about where they do not belong.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own a portfolio end-to-end. Set strategy, define the roadmap, and drive execution from concept through rollout and adoption for the squads you own.
- Go where the leverage is. Take on new squads and problem spaces as the business needs them, ramping quickly on unfamiliar domains without waiting for a handoff document.
- Make the numbers trustworthy. Build products on top of complex financial and operational data - budgets, actuals, cost structures, schedules, vendor pricing - with the rigor that data demands.
- Build AI into every feature. Treat AI as a default design consideration rather than a special project - look at each workflow and ask what the system can predict, decide, draft, or remove entirely, then ship it with real evaluation and quality frameworks behind it.
- Define product with precision. Write clear, actionable requirements. Think through edge cases before engineering finds them. Prioritize on impact, effort, and long-term value.
- Measure what matters. Define success metrics up front, instrument them, and run experiments to systematically improve cycle time, cost accuracy, and adoption.
- Drive across functions. Operate independently across Construction Operations, Finance, Sales, Design, and Engineering, moving initiatives forward without heavy process.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a complex, technical product.
- Exceptional analytical rigor and comfort with messy, high-stakes data. You write your own queries, build your own models, and reconcile numbers yourself rather than waiting on someone else.
- Experience with financial or operational data products - cost, pricing, margin, budgeting, forecasting, supply chain, scheduling, or similar - where accuracy is non-negotiable.
- Genuine detail orientation. You catch the discrepancy nobody else noticed, and you sweat the edge cases that determine whether a workflow actually holds up in production.
- A metrics-driven operating style: you define success quantitatively, instrument it, and hold yourself to it.
- Strong technical fluency - comfortable operating alongside engineers and ML teams as peers, reasoning through system tradeoffs, and reading evaluations.
- An AI-first instinct in how you design product. You look at a workflow and see what the system could decide or automate, not just what interface a person needs - and you can tell the difference between a problem AI genuinely solves and one where it adds risk without adding value.
- Breadth and adaptability: a track record of owning multiple product areas, or stepping into new domains and getting productive fast.
- 0 to 1 product building - hands-on experience taking a product from concept through launch to real-world adoption.
- Exceptional communication skills, and the ability to translate between operators, technical teams, and executive leadership.
- A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and drives outcomes cross-functionally without a playbook.
- Interest in construction and the built environment is a plus. No prior industry experience required, but an expectation to learn the domain rapidly.
Our Commitment:
We are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce. If you’re excited about this role, but do not meet 100% of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply. To apply, please submit an application with your resume on the Career’s page.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As Senior Product Designer - Field AI, you will define how AI feels for the teams building our homes. You'll shape the experiences that our Superintendents and Direct Construction Operators (DCOs) rely on every day - across our mobile application, advanced AI based video analysis, and new experiences around automated data capture on site.
This is a role for a designer who blends sharp interaction design with strong visual craft. You'll take novel, sometimes ambiguous AI capabilities - computer vision, multimodal models, agents - and turn them into interfaces that feel clear, trustworthy, and genuinely delightful on a jobsite. You know the emerging patterns for designing with AI (surfacing confidence, handling uncertainty, guiding and correcting the model) and you have a point of view on how to make them feel effortless for users who are not sitting at a desk.
Motion design won't be your day-to-day focus, but you can reach for it to bring AI experiences to life and make them compelling. Just as importantly, you're an exceptional communicator: helping craft executive level presentations that carry Homebound's AI narrative across the entire company, our board, and our investors.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own the end-to-end experience: Design interaction flows and polished, high-craft visuals across all of our field initiatives.
- Design compelling AI patterns: Turn frontier AI capabilities into interfaces that are clear and trustworthy - handling confidence, uncertainty, and human-in-the-loop correction in delightful ways.
- Design for the field, not the desk: Craft mobile-first experiences that work for Superintendents and DCOs in real jobsite conditions.
- Bring experiences to life with motion: Use motion design where it counts to make AI interactions feel intuitive, responsive, and compelling.
- Partner tightly with your PM and engineers: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Field AI PM and Engineering to move from concept to shipped product.
- Communicate the AI story: Present to executives and teams across the company, using your work to make Homebound's AI vision tangible and shared.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating strong interaction design and high visual craft.
- Direct experience designing mobile applications (iOS strongly preferred).
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML patterns into products in delightful, usable ways.
- Motion design skills you can bring to bear on compelling AI experiences
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, including direct experience presenting to executive-level audiences.
- Comfort designing in ambiguity - translating novel, evolving AI capabilities into clear, intuitive experiences.
- A collaborative, self-starting approach; you partner naturally across product, engineering, and operations.
- Willingness to travel to Texas to work directly with our field teams.
- Interest in construction and the built environment is a plus; no prior industry experience required, but an expectation to learn the domain rapidly.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As Senior Product Manager - Field AI, you will own the forward-looking technology that brings AI to the teams building our homes. This is where the physical and digital worlds meet: your users are the Superintendents and Direct Construction Operators (DCOs) on the jobsite, and your product surface spans our mobile application, advanced onsite AI tools, automated data capture, and probabilistic construction schedules with insight analysis.
This is a role for a thought leader in applied AI. We are looking for someone with a strong point of view on how emerging technologies - computer vision, agents, LLMs, and multimodal models - can be applied in a physical, unstructured environment to make our field teams faster, more accurate, and more effective. You don't need a construction background (though genuine curiosity about the built world is a plus), but you do need real experience translating frontier AI into products that work in the real world, outside the browser.
You'll own the roadmap, execution, and success metrics for the field AI portfolio, and you'll operate as an independent, cross-functional force connecting Construction Operations, Field Operations, and Engineering.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own the field AI strategy and roadmap: Set the vision and execute end-to-end across the entirety of our field portfolio - from concept to rollout.
- Bring AI into the physical environment: Translate the capabilities of computer vision, multimodal models, and agents into products that operate reliably on an active jobsite, where inputs are messy and conditions change daily.
- Lead as a thought partner: Bring a strong, well-formed perspective on where field technology is going, and use it to shape how Homebound applies new technologies to the teams building our homes.
- Embed with the field: Travel to Texas monthly to work directly with Superintendents and DCOs, run trainings, drive rollouts, and build the tight feedback loops that make field products actually stick.
- Drive progress across teams: Operate independently and move initiatives forward across Construction Operations, Operations, and Engineering without waiting for a playbook.
- Define product with rigor: Write clear, actionable requirements, establish evaluation and quality frameworks for AI features, and prioritize based on impact, effort, and long-term value.
- Measure what matters: Define success metrics and run experiments to systematically improve accuracy, adoption, and field efficiency.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a complex, technical product.
- A track record of shipping applied AI products - computer vision, multimodal, LLM/agent-based, or ML systems - that took meaningful action or made decisions in production, not just chat wrappers or lightweight integrations.
- Demonstrated experience applying technology in the physical world or in traditionally non-tech, unstructured environments (a strong plus).
- Strong technical fluency - comfortable operating alongside engineers and ML teams as peers, reasoning through system tradeoffs, reading evaluations, and diving into the data to answer your own questions.
- A self-starter and independent operator who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and drives outcomes cross-functionally without heavy process.
- A genuine thought leader in emerging AI - you follow the frontier closely and have a point of view on how to apply it.
- 0→1 product building: hands-on experience taking a product from concept through launch to real-world adoption.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate seamlessly between field needs, technical teams, and executive leadership.
- Willingness to travel to Texas monthly to work shoulder-to-shoulder with our field teams.
- Interest in construction and the built environment is a plus; no prior industry experience required, but an expectation to learn the domain rapidly.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We're hiring a Tech Lead Manager (Staff+) to lead a small team building the platform that is modernizing homebuilding. This is a leadership-track role for a senior engineer ready to grow their scope and impact. You'll stay hands-on as a technical leader while directly managing a team of 2–4 engineers.
The role blends deep technical ownership with people leadership. You'll set technical direction for your domain, ship production-grade code, and be accountable for the growth, output, and delivery of your team. The work spans the full stack and covers both internal tools that power construction operations and customer-facing experiences for homeowners and trades.
We're a remote-first team. You'll work from wherever you do your best work, with regular offsites to get together in person. You'll own entire product areas, make real technical decisions, and work directly with engineering leadership, product, and design to take features from concept to production.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Technical Leadership:
- Set technical direction for your domain. Contribute to architecture decisions, API contracts, and data models that shape how our systems scale and evolve.
- Design, build, and deliver features across the platform. You own the full lifecycle from technical design through deployment and monitoring.
- Stay hands-on. Write and deploy high-quality, production-grade code on a regular basis.
- Raise the bar across engineering. Review designs, improve developer experience, and help other engineers work through complex problems.
People Leadership:
- Directly manage a team of 2–4 engineers. Hold regular 1:1s, give clear and actionable feedback, and lead growth and performance conversations.
- Own your team's delivery. Drive planning, prioritization, and execution, and be accountable for outcomes.
- Coach and develop your engineers. Help them grow their skills, scope, and careers, and create the conditions for them to do their best work.
- Partner with product and design to translate messy, real-world processes into clean, reliable software and to make tradeoffs that balance speed and quality.
- Help grow the team. Recruit, interview, and raise the bar on who we hire.
ABOUT YOU:
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping products that land real-world impact.
- Experience as a tech lead, team lead, or engineering manager. You've led projects and/or people, whether formally or informally, and prior direct management experience is a strong plus.
- Built and delivered full-stack features across modern web technologies. Our stack includes TypeScript, Node, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS. We care more about your ability to learn and build than checking every box.
- Actively using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) in your daily workflow. You can explain how they change the way you approach problems and how you'd bring that leverage to a team.
- Demonstrated leadership and ownership. Mentoring engineers, influencing technical direction, and being the person people depend on.
- Designed systems that balance quick iterations with long-term reliability and maintainability.
- Partnered with product, design, and non-technical stakeholders to define requirements, make tradeoffs, and deliver outcomes. Not just code.
WHO YOU ARE:
- You want to grow your scope and impact through leadership, both technical and people.
- You care about the people on your team. Their growth, their output, and their experience.
- You take ownership and seek autonomy over your work and outcomes.
- You're excited to build and lead within a small, nimble, high-impact team.
- You are self-directed. Comfortable prioritizing your own work and your team's with minimal oversight.
- You communicate clearly and proactively. Especially in writing.
- You're humble, good-natured, and bring positive energy to your tea
