Sales, Channel - Strategic Partners (Northwest)
Meter · United States
Pay
$133k–180k
Setting
Remote
Meter is at an inflection point. Our team has built a vertically integrated internet networking infrastructure solution across hardware, software, operations and service that makes it incredibly easy for businesses of all sizes to connect to the internet quickly and reliably. We’re on a mission to disrupt the networking industry, a space where the top 5 players have a combined valuation of over half a trillion dollars. Our vision is to evolve the internet into a utility.
Now that our product team has done the hard work of building a truly disruptive product, it is time for sales to drive the company forward, and partners will be one of our biggest force multipliers in our go-to-market strategy. We’ve already seen early signs that the Channel is going to be one of our biggest levers for growth, establishing relationships with names you’ll recognize like CDW, World Wide Technology, Microsoft and more.
The work in building the Channel is far from done. We are looking for someone who will accelerate the growth of Meter’s sales through the Channel in the Northwest region, by building, executing and scaling the partner ecosystem, specifically within the realm of Value-Added Resellers, or VARs.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Within your first 6 months, you will:
- Create a business plan that enables Meter to scale effectively through partners in the Pacific Northwest region.
- Develop an enablement strategy to attract, develop and grow relationships with targeted partners that can bring outsized value to Meter.
- Drive deal registrations and closed won revenue within our named partners.
- Build, own and scale a partner enablement program for named partners.
WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
From day one, you will own the Channel business through our VARs and partners in the Northwest region. Your days will consist of:
- Diligently hunting down and onboarding new VARs and partners in the region.
- Meeting virtually and in-person with key existing VAR contacts, both channel reps and regional leadership, to strengthen relationships and uncover deal opportunities.
- Identify target verticals and accounts where partners already have existing relationships and influence.
- Actively track and drive deal registrations through to closed-won revenue alongside Meter’s direct Sales team.
- Align with Meter’s internal Sales, Product and Marketing teams to ensure regional channel strategy is in line with company-wide priorities.
- Monitor and analyze partner pipeline metrics, identifying bottlenecks or high-leverage activities.
- Delivering ongoing training and enablement to partners, making sure they’re up to date on Meter’s offerings, roadmap and competitive positioning.
- Hitting the road to get in front of customers and partners in person for training sessions, lunch-and-learns and technical overviews
- Representing Meter at partner events, trade shows and joint customer meetings, as well as organizing and hosting our own Meter-sponsored events to deepen engagement and generate pipeline.
- Forecasting channel-driven revenue and reporting on progress against targets with Meter’s Sales leadership.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have a growth mindset and think BIG - you know how to leverage the Channel, but can envision an even better future state and help us get there by acquiring new partnerships, while still managing existing ones.
- You’ve got extensive experience working with Channel Partners, Value-Added Resellers (VARs) & MSPs, and have meaningful existing relationships with partners in the Northwest market, particularly in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Ideally, this experience has been in the technology or internet infrastructure industry.
- You have a track record of driving positive results, like pipeline, deal registrations and closed won revenue through partners that has allowed you and the sales teams you’ve supported to overachieve on their OTEs.
- You’ve engaged with partners at both the individual contributor and leadership levels.
- You’ve got past experience as a successful Mid-Market or Enterprise seller.
- You can present confidently to any and all stakeholders both virtually and in-person.
- You’re comfortable with 50%+ travel to get in front of partners and customers directly and through events to increase Meter’s brand awareness and generate pipeline.
- You're based in the Northwest, ideally in a major metropolitan area like San Francisco or Seattle, and live close to a major airport.
WHY METER?
The internet runs the world. Every purchase you make, video call you join, it's all packets flowing through networks. But those networks haven’t changed for decades. They’re brittle, complex, and surprisingly hard to set up in an enterprise space.
We started Meter to build better networks. We had to build everything from the ground-up: designing and building our own enterprise hardware, intuitive software, and streamlined operations to deliver great outcomes for our customers. Today, we build and deploy these networks at scale. Ambitious companies and enduring institutions like Bridgewater, Lyft, Reddit, rely on Meter to keep their thousands of employees and locations online and productive.
Our bet with Meter is simple: we will all use the internet more than we do today. We believe we have the definitive networking stack in place to enable business to do so as seamlessly and reliably as any modern utility.
COMPENSATION
- The estimated base salary for this role is between $133,000 - $180,000.
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.

We’re on a mission to disrupt the networking industry, a market where the top 5 players have a combined valuation of over half a trillion dollars.
Now that our product team has done the hard work of building a truly disruptive product, it is time for Sales to drive the company forward by hiring the first layer of Majors Sales reps who will take Meter upmarket. This is a pivotal role because the sales motion is new and Meter doesn’t have strong brand awareness among our ideal customer profile, so we need reps who are relentless in their pursuit of sourcing and closing new business so that we can bring a truly disruptive product to market, displace legacy competitors and give every US Enterprise business easy access to reliable, performant internet.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
In the first 6 months, you will:
- Ramp quickly through sales onboarding so that you can close your first deal (if not several) within your first few months.
- Source and close new business with Majors customers in the Midwest across any vertical with greater than 10,000 employees or student enrollment and greater than 250,000 residents in a city, from initial outreach to signed contract.
- Meet and, ideally, blow out quarterly sales targets, consistently generating hundreds of thousands, if not millions, in annual recurring revenue on a quarterly basis, consistently contributing to Meter’s top-line growth.
- Build and execute an outbound motion, identifying priority accounts and developing a repeatable process for engaging decision-makers.
- Establish a trusted advisor relationship with customers and prospects by mapping Meter’s value to their network, security, and IT infrastructure needs.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales leadership to refine our ideal customer profile and go-to-market playbook.

- Maintain strong Salesforce hygiene and manage pipeline with discipline, maintaining forecasting accuracy above 90%.
- Onboard, enable and leverage channel partners alongside the Channel team to help win new customers and increase deal registrations from the channel.
- Influence product direction by delivering feedback to the Product and Marketing teams to inform roadmap and positioning.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have 10+ years of experience selling complex technical products to IT buyers at high-growth organizations, both direct and through the channel, ideally in networking infrastructure, specifically to Large or Global Enterprise accounts
- In absence of networking experience, you’ve either sold hardware, infrastructure, cloud, or security, or are smart, ambitious and a fast learner who can make sense of an esoteric space with ease.
- You’ve got an impressive track record of not only meeting, but exceeding, ambitious sales targets, consistently placing you among the top reps in your segment or earning trips to President’s Club.
- You are a consistent generator of pipeline. You know how to book meetings and fill up your pipeline with qualified opportunities. You don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and knock down doors, and you know how to leverage a tech stack (i.e., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Gong, etc.) to complement your hustle.
- You’ll do whatever it takes to win. You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, and will get creative to get deals across the line.
- You’ll create clarity out of the ambiguity that comes with lack of structure and process at an early stage company.
- You're based in the Midwest, ideally in a major metro area like Chicago, and live close to a major airport.

Sales, Channel - National Partners
Meter · United States
Pay
$132k–180k
Setting
Remote
The largest solution providers in the industry (WWT, CDW, Presidio, ePlus, Insight, SHI, Trace3 and others) are trusted by enterprises and public sector organizations to design, deploy, and manage their technology environments. These partners influence billions of dollars in technology decisions each year and are uniquely positioned to bring Meter's networking platform to the accounts that need it most.
Legacy networking vendors rely on fragmented hardware and software stacks that create operational complexity for both VAR sellers and their customers. Meter's full-stack, subscription-based networking solution aligns with how national VARs sell outcomes, and simplifies how organizations design, deploy, and operate their networks.
Your primary goal is to build high-performing partnerships across the national VAR landscape that drive consistent partner-sourced revenue. You will deepen Meter's presence within the sales, engineering, and services teams at our top VAR partners and turn that alignment into qualified pipeline and closed business.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
This role will be successful by driving incremental pipeline, deal registration activity, and substantial closed-won revenue through VAR-led opportunities, ultimately establishing Meter as a strategic networking partner across the national VAR community.
You'll quickly align with our Enterprise and Majors salesforce to identify where our top VAR partners are engaged with open opportunities or cover territories where they have a major presence. You'll build a consistent motion across partners rather than a one-off playbook, and develop a tiered approach that prioritizes the highest-potential relationships while maintaining broad coverage.
You'll deepen relationships with account teams, technical architects, and leadership at WWT, CDW, Presidio, ePlus, Insight, SHI, Trace3 and emerging partners, driving awareness, adoption, and credibility by articulating how Meter's unified hardware, software, and operations create superior results for enterprise customers.
Through these relationships, you will identify high-fit customers across each partner's book of business, create early success stories that demonstrate measurable outcomes, and build repeatable frameworks that allow each partnership to scale.
Over time, you will own the national VAR partner strategy and help drive the long-term roadmap for how Meter goes to market through the solution provider ecosystem.
WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Partner closely with Meter's Enterprise and Major Account teams to manage VAR-sourced opportunities from qualification to close.
- Support VAR sellers and technical architects during opportunity discovery, network design discussions, quoting, and deployment planning.
- Deliver ongoing enablement sessions across partner regions and practices, focusing on how Meter solves operational and lifecycle challenges for enterprise customers.
- Meet regularly with leadership, partner management, and engineering groups at each priority VAR to maintain alignment and uncover new opportunities.
- Build and execute joint business plans with each major partner, including pipeline targets, enablement calendars, and co-marketing activities.
- Participate in partner-hosted customer events, workshops, briefings, and technology center sessions to increase visibility and pipeline creation.
- Collaborate with Partner Marketing and Partner Enablement on joint campaigns, training programs, and incentives that drive activity and engagement across the VAR landscape.
- Track partner performance by account, forecast accurately, and remove operational blockers to ensure deals progress smoothly.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have deep experience working across national VARs (WWT, CDW, Presidio, ePlus, Insight, SHI, Trace3 or similar) and understand both their seller-led and architect-led motions.
- You have a strong track record of building partner-sourced revenue at scale across multiple, complex partner organizations simultaneously.
- You know how to prioritize across a broad portfolio of relationships and can develop a tiered strategy that drives outsized results from the highest-potential partners without losing momentum elsewhere.
- You are comfortable with technical concepts, can quickly learn networking fundamentals, and can communicate them clearly to both sales and engineering audiences.
- You can build trust quickly with stakeholders at all levels and influence decisions through clear, credible communication.
- You have a high sense of urgency and focus on activities that move opportunities forward.
- You enjoy travel and value in-person relationship building as a core part of partner success.
- You are comfortable in the ambiguity of early-stage go-to-market and can bring structure and repeatability to a fast-moving channel model.

Sales, Channel - Regional Partners (Pacific Northwest)
Meter · United States
Pay
$132k–180k
Setting
Remote
Technology Services Distributors, or TSDs, have traditionally sold monthly “as-a-service” offerings like connectivity, UCaaS and SD-WAN through a vast network of agents and trusted advisors.
All the big players in the legacy networking space use large, upfront capital expenditure, or CapEx, models for selling physical hardware, which does not align well to TSDs’ commission-based, ongoing service billing models, meaning the channel has been largely ignored by the likes of giants like Cisco and Aruba.
Since Meter is delivering its vertically integrated, end-to-end networking stack through a monthly subscription model, and focused on customer outcomes as opposed to selling hardware & support contracts, it fits snugly into the TSD business model.
Meter is one of the few full-stack networking offerings that TSDs and their partners have been able to offer their customers, so the Channel will play a key role in accelerating our growth and bringing reliable, performant internet to more businesses.
What success looks like
Your ultimate goal will be delivering closed won revenue originating in the TSD channel for our sales team.
Within the first few weeks, you will create an impact quickly by leveraging your connections within the partner ecosystem to evangelize Meter's model to both the TSDs and their partners.
Despite the fact that you may have sold other technology solutions over the course of your career, you’ll learn enough about core networking disciplines to become dangerous when explaining to TSD partners why Meter’s end-to-end networking offering is the best fit for their businesses and their customers.
You will support a combination of Enterprise and Major reps that serve the REGION, and we will need you to embed yourself into this team and gain their trust, while also proactively enabling new and existing trusted advisors to drive new opportunities and generate pipeline.
We are still in the early stages of Meter’s go-to-market, particularly within the TSD channel, but we’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s possible with these partners. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to own key relationships with specific partners or lead regional partner sales teams.
What your day-to-day will look like
On a typical day, you’ll act as an intermediary between our sales team and the sales reps and leadership of our partners, syncing with Meter’s team to keep track of deal progression and any updates or blockers, and supporting partners on the deals that they register, helping to resolve operational issues that arise during quoting, contracting and deployment.
While we’ve had some early success in the TSD channel, building trust and brand awareness is still the name of the game, meaning that getting face time with these partners is paramount. Cultivating relationships with these partners in-person means that you will spend a great deal of time traveling to in-region events, training sessions or summits to drive awareness and sales pipeline.
In order to grow the channel, you’ll also recruit and enable new partners, while deepening engagement with top performers. You’ll work with our Partner Marketing and Partner Enablement teams on incentives, MDF programs and upcoming summits or webinars.
Who you are
- You have deep experience and a rich understanding of the TSD partner ecosystem, likely because you’ve spent time in the telecommunications industry selling services like connectivity, UCaaS or SD-WAN. You know who all the key players are in the industry, and who to call on within both existing and prospective partners to accelerate Meter’s growth.
- You’ve successfully leveraged relationships with TSDs in the past to drive revenue through periods of high company growth, and have a proven track record of exceeding partner-sourced revenue targets.
- You’re comfortable working with technical products and concepts, and can quickly ramp on networking fundamentals (routing, switching, WiFi, security) to speak confidently and credibly with partners and their end customers.
- You have a high sense of urgency and a bias for action. While you are good at cultivating relationships with partners, you are better at getting deals registered and across the line.
- You’re comfortable with 50%+ travel and truly enjoy the face-to-face aspect of partner management.
- You’re comfortable in the ambiguity and constant change of early-stage go-to-market phases, and have ideally worked at a high-growth tech company or startup.

Network Engineer
Meter · New York, New York, United States
Pay
$100k–170k
Setting
Remote
Meter’s ambition is to evolve internet infrastructure into a utility by building a product that caters to stakeholders from Customers, ISPs, Partners, and Technicians. Every utility starts with an installation – and that’s where you come in. The Technician Operations team is the live backbone of Meter’s deployment engine, ensuring that we deliver critical infrastructure on time, to standard, and with zero friction for our partners and customers.
A Network is most vulnerable during deployment - and each stakeholder plays an essential role to ensure it’s built as performance and resilient critical infrastructure. Meter dedicates a team to each stakeholder, ensuring our product and work empowers stakeholders to do operationally and technically sound work at scale. In this role, you'll own the live technical execution of enterprise network deployments. By partnering directly with field technicians in real time, troubleshooting issues as they happen, and building the systems and tools that make installations effortless, you'll ensure every customer network is successfully brought online.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Your fingerprints will be on every installation, shaping the technician experience and driving the scale Meter needs to reach utility status. In your first six months, you will:
- Become the technical escalation point: Independently resolve the majority of live deployment networking issues, reducing escalations to Deployment Engineering and keeping installations on schedule.
- Keep projects on track: Deliver >90% of installations on time by partnering with field technicians, unblocking issues in real time, and ensuring customer networks are successfully brought online.
- Raise quality standards: Reduce rework rates <5% and ensure compliance with installation artifacts and validation checks.
- Accelerate installs: Partner with Operations Engineering to roll out automated technician tooling that cuts install validation times by 30%.
WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
From day one, you'll own the live technical execution of enterprise network deployments. A typical week might include:
- Acting as the technical lead on the live install thread: Running pre-install prep calls with technicians, deciding what gets resolved on the call vs. escalated to Wired or Wireless Deployment Engineering, and owning the shift handoff so context never drops.
- Real-time troubleshooting of issues mid-install: ISP circuit turn-up, native VLAN mismatches, trunk vs. access port config on AP uplinks, DHCP reservations and inter-VLAN routing, IPSec tunnel failures, HA firewall failover, DAC cable issues on backup uplinks, and more.
- Owning sign-off as the final technical gate before a customer network goes live: Clearing the Dashboard Issues page, confirming all hardware (firewalls, switches, APs, PDUs) is online and on the current NOS, validating ISP quality and HA failover, executing VLAN auto-config, and signing off in the deployment thread. No network activates without you.
- Keeping installs moving: Documenting progress across active deployments, pushing updates to technical project managers and stakeholders, and proactively surfacing blockers before they slip.
- Closing the feedback loop: Identifying recurring failure patterns and partnering with Operations Engineering to ship new playbooks, tooling, or product fixes.
- Building for the field: Translating technician insights into hardware and software improvements so our product is purpose-built for how installs actually happen.
WHERE THIS ROLE CAN TAKE YOU
In year two, you could design automated validation tools that remove manual install steps, lead the rollout of new technician onboarding programs that cut ramp time in half, and shape product improvements that fundamentally change how installations are done in the industry. Through all this, you’ll continue to provide a great experience with Meter for our Installation Partner Technicians. Your work will directly define how Meter scales installation quality and speed worldwide.
WHO YOU ARE
You thrive on solving complex networking problems in real time and making order out of chaos. You have strong Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting skills and excel in fast-moving environments where every deployment is different. You enjoy owning technical decisions during live deployments and keeping installations moving when unexpected challenges arise. You're comfortable partnering directly with field technicians, translating technical concepts into clear guidance, and making sound decisions when the path forward isn't immediately obvious. Beyond troubleshooting, you think systematically, identifying recurring operational pain points and building scalable processes, tooling, and documentation that make future deployments more reliable.
We are building towards 24/7 coverage. To that end, we are hiring across four shifts: Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday, Sunday-Thursday, and Thursday-Monday. In your application, please note your preferences across these shifts.
COMPENSATION
- The estimated base salary for this role is between $100,000 - $170,000.
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.

Meter is at an inflection point. Our team has built a vertically-integrated networking solution across hardware, software, operations and service that makes it incredibly easy for businesses of all sizes to connect to the internet quickly and reliably. We’re on a mission to disrupt the networking industry, a space where the top 5 players have a combined valuation of over half a trillion dollars.
Now that our product team has done the hard work of building a truly disruptive product, it is time for Sales to drive the company forward by hiring a foundational layer of Enterprise Sales reps.
- Ramp quickly through sales onboarding so that you can close your first deal (if not several) within your first few weeks.
- Source and close new business with regional Enterprise customers across any vertical with up to 10,000 employees or student enrollment and up to 250,000 residents in a city, from initial outreach to signed contract.
- Ensure long-term customer success and satisfaction with smooth handoffs and collaboration with Deployment Operations, Product, and Customer Success.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
You’ll own the full sales process within your territory from prospecting to close. In a typical week, you’ll:
- Identify and qualify new high-potential accounts in our key verticals.
- Book and lead discovery calls with technical and business stakeholders.
- Deliver live or virtual product demos tailored to customer needs.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering on scoping complex deployments.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have 5+ years of experience selling complex technical products to IT buyers at high-growth organizations, both direct and through the channel, ideally in networking infrastructure.
- You're based in the Chicago metro area, and are willing to travel into the field.
- The estimated salary range for this role is $119,000 - $140,000.

Meter is building the modern networking infrastructure that businesses like Lyft and Reddit rely on to stay connected. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will partner with our Enterprise Sales team to bring better networks to more customers by using your technical expertise to win over the hearts and minds of IT and network engineers alike.
You will be an integral part of an early team of Enterprise SEs that will design and build the technical engine needed to chase down the legacy vendors in a giant industry that hasn’t seen a successful new entrant in decades.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
In your first few weeks, you’ll start to build relationships with the teams you’d work with on a regular basis: the Sales team, both sales reps and leaders that you’d support; your peers on the Sales Engineering team; the teams designing and manufacturing our hardware and software products; and the teams deploying and maintaining these networks for our customers. Building these relationships will allow you to establish a role as a trusted advisor internally.
You’ll also begin to hone your networking skills across routing, switching, wireless, and security, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Subject Matter Expert across the entire Meter portfolio. This will help you establish credibility and confidence when working with customers and partners.
As you build up your Meter product expertise, you will also quickly join sales calls, and contribute to an immediate increase ($1M+) in our committed quarterly Enterprise revenue by leading technical discovery calls, and designing technical solutions for prospects that help our Sales team win deals.
Once you’ve gained more exposure, you’ll help the Sales Engineering team build more process and structure. You will design and build new assets that cover common Enterprise use cases (e.g., EVPN-VXLAN reference architectures or 802.1X integration guides) and standardize documentation and training for core networking areas, which will ultimately allow the sales team to accelerate deal cycles by at least a week and increase win rate.
As we build the standards needed for a successful Sales Engineering team and drive significant revenue for the Sales team through your partnership, you will have a clear path into becoming a Principal Sales Engineer, specializing in a new vertical, or moving into a leadership track. You can specialize in leading our most strategic accounts or have the opportunity to hire, mentor and define the onboarding for the next cohort of Sales Engineers at Meter.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
Your days will be a mix of selling, building assets and standards and product translation, supporting both the Sales and Product teams.
About 60% of your day will be spent on deal execution. This will include:
- Leading technical discovery calls to understand what customers find painful or frustrating about their current legacy solutions.
- Delivering world-class demonstrations that inspire, getting buy-in across multiple stakeholders, from office managers to CIOs.
- Building solutions, removing obstacles, and closing deals through work with customers and partners.
- Partnering directly with the Account Executives on your team to create urgency and drive deals forward.
25% of your day will be spent building assets and standards. This involves creating new internal training, designing assets for Sales, and standardizing our approach to more complex technical use cases.
The other 15% of your day will be spent on product translation. You’ll collect customer feedback from complex deployments and translate their requirements directly to the Product team, which will influence our hardware and software product roadmap.
WHO YOU ARE
You are an elite Sales Engineer who knows that enterprise networking can be complex, rigid, and is prime for disruption. You’re tired of selling marginal upgrades on legacy infrastructure. You don’t want to do things the way they've been done before. You want to help be on the forefront of innovation and offer the change your customers and partners have been asking for. You’re excited about working with a vertically integrated solution that can deliver effortless and resilient connectivity that can be delivered as simply as any other utility.
Building and growing the business with highly motivated technical Sales Engineers at a fast pace is a refreshing change you’ve been looking for. You’ve seen success as a high performing SE at high growth companies, but you want the opportunity for your voice to be heard and influence the trajectory of a company. You are obsessed with networking and hate losing more than you love winning. You come up with creative solutions and will remove any roadblocks to not only meet the customers where they are, but bring them forward into the future of wired, wireless, and cellular networking.
You have expert knowledge in TCP/IP, 802.11ax/be, TLS, DHCP, DNS, NAT, 802.1X, VPNs, SD-WAN, IDS/IPS, Multicast, OSPF, BGP & EVPN-VXLAN. You take your professional development seriously, and ideally have completed several standard industry certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWDP, CWSP, CWDE, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIE, Network+, Security+, etc
