Lead Engineer
Parsley Health · Engineering · Remote US, with a strong preference for NYC metro · Full-time
About Parsley Health
Parsley Health is rebuilding primary care around root-cause, whole-person medicine. Our members get board-certified clinicians, health coaches, advanced testing, and a care platform that connects the dots across all of it.
We are a mostly virtual medical practice with care available across the country, and we recently expanded in-network access nationwide. As we grow, our product and engineering teams are focused on building the systems, workflows, automation, and AI-enabled tools that help our clinical team scale without compromising quality of care.
About the role
We are hiring a Lead Engineer to lead a small, high-leverage engineering team while staying deeply hands-on in the code.
This is a player-coach role, with dual focus on direct IC work and engineering management. You will spend roughly 60–70% of your time designing and shipping code; you will also manage one full-time engineer and help coordinate a small group of contractors.
The right person brings strong technical judgment, a high quality bar, comfort working across the stack, and enough product instinct to make smart tradeoffs in close partnership with Product, Clinical, Design, Data, and Security.
You will help turn business and clinical priorities into reliable, scalable software. You do not need to own product strategy end to end, but you should be able to understand user needs, ask good questions, challenge unclear requirements, and help the team move from idea to shipped solution quickly and responsibly.
This role reports to the CTO and is remote by default. Because most of our team is based on the East Coast, we strongly prefer candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones who are comfortable working an Eastern time schedule. Candidates in the New York City area are especially well positioned, as they will have opportunities to work periodically from our office and collaborate in person with clinicians and senior leaders.
What you’ll do
Lead a lean engineering team
You will manage 1-2 full-time engineers and help coordinate work across 3-4 additional developers. You'll work directly with the CTO to define technical strategy, as well as the structure, clarity, and follow-through needed for the team to thrive. You will provide clear feedback, help prioritize work, unblock execution, and support a team environment where engineers understand what matters and can do their best work.
Own technical direction
You are the most senior technical decision-maker on the team: you own architecture calls, take on the hardest problems yourself, and set the quality bar through your own code and design reviews.
Stay hands-on and ship
You will design and ship meaningful product and platform work yourself — backend services, fullstack features, integrations, internal tools, and infrastructure improvements. Your output as an engineer is a core part of this role.
Partner closely with Product and Clinical teams
You will translate clinical and operational needs into practical technical plans, help scope work, and make smart tradeoffs around speed, quality, risk, and complexity.
Support AI-enabled engineering practices
You will use tools like Claude, Cursor, and other AI-assisted workflows to improve engineering speed and quality, while maintaining strong judgment around security, privacy, accuracy, and production risk.
Keep the foundations healthy
You will help maintain and improve backend services, infrastructure, deploy hygiene, observability, production reliability, and architectural decision-making.
What we’re looking for
Required experience
Strong full-stack engineering experience across backend services and modern frontend applications
Experience as a tech lead who also managed people — or a staff-level IC who has mentored engineers, led projects end to end, and wants to add light management
Strong backend experience in Go or Kotlin, with a preference for candidates who have worked in both
Comfort across Node, TypeScript, React, and Next.js
Experience with cloud infrastructure in AWS or GCP, with a preference for GCP
Experience running or supporting production workloads on Kubernetes
Strong product judgment and the ability to partner well with Product, Clinical, Design, Data, and Security
Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools to move faster without lowering the quality bar
A high bar for reliability, security, code quality, documentation, and what “done” means
Comfort in a small, fast-moving environment where priorities can shift and the team needs people who can both lead and execute
Nice to have
Experience in healthcare, digital health, clinical operations, regulated environments, or products that handle sensitive data
Experience improving internal tools, clinical workflows, care team tooling, or operational systems
Experience managing contractors or distributed engineering capacity
Experience helping teams adopt AI tools, engineering standards, or development workflows

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
How do you know if you have a disability?
A disability is a condition that substantially limits one or more of your “major life activities.” If you have or have ever had such a condition, you are a person with a disability. Disabilities include, but are not limited to:
Alcohol or other substance use disorder (not currently using drugs illegally)
Autoimmune disorder, for example, lupus, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, HIV/AIDS
Blind or low vision

Director of Clinical Product
Remote (US) will be considered, with a strong preference for candidates in the NYC metro area who can commute to our NYC office 2 to 3 days per week. For those full remote, it is ideal that you are EST based and/or able to regularly work an EST schedule. This role reports to the CTO.
About Parsley Health
Parsley Health is rebuilding primary care around root-cause, whole-person medicine. Our members get board-certified clinicians, health coaches, advanced testing, and a care platform that connects the dots across all of it.
The Moment
Care delivery includes essential work that should not require so much manual effort. Clinicians and care teams need tools that help them prepare, coordinate, document, and follow through on care without adding friction to their day.
We are hiring a product leader to own that challenge. This role will shape the systems, workflows, and tools that enable our clinical and care teams to spend more of their time delivering high-quality care and less of it managing administrative work.
This is an opportunity to work on some of the most important operational and clinical challenges at Parsley. The work you lead will help determine how our teams deliver care at scale while preserving the quality, thoughtfulness, and personal connection that make the Parsley experience distinct.
The Role
As Director, Clinical Product, you will be the senior product leader responsible for the roadmap that makes care delivery more efficient across Parsley.
You will work directly with clinicians, care teams, Clinical Operations, Engineering, Security, and other partners to understand how care is actually delivered today, identify where workflows break down, and turn those insights into high-impact product solutions.
Your north star is simple: increase the share of care-team time spent on care rather than administration.
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. You will lead through strong product judgment, clear communication, and the ability to bring a cross-functional team together around the right problems. You will partner closely with a product designer, engineering team, and supporting functions to take clinical workflow improvements from discovery through rollout and adoption.
You will also help guide Parsley’s clinical tooling and EMR strategy, including evaluating vendors, identifying integration opportunities, and making practical recommendations about when to build, buy, or improve existing systems.
What you'll do in your first 6 months
Build a deep understanding of how care is delivered at Parsley. Spend time shadowing clinicians and care teams, conducting interviews, reviewing workflow data, and identifying where administrative work creates friction, delays, or unnecessary burden.
Develop and prioritize a clinical product roadmap. Translate care-delivery needs into clear product opportunities, define what matters most, and make thoughtful tradeoffs between clinician experience, operational efficiency, member experience, and business impact.
Ship high-leverage workflow improvements. Lead the development of tools and automation that reduce manual work, improve visit preparation, streamline documentation, and make it easier for teams to deliver coordinated care.
Own EMR and clinical tooling strategy. Evaluate opportunities to improve existing EMR capabilities, assess vendors and tools, guide integration decisions, and make practical recommendations about when to build, buy, or improve what already exists.
Drive adoption, not just delivery. Partner with Clinical Operations and care teams to create rollout plans, training, documentation, and feedback loops that help new tools become part of day-to-day workflows.
Measure impact. Define success metrics for each initiative and build a clear view of whether the work is increasing the share of care-team time spent on care rather than administration.
What we're looking for
Primary requirements
A strong track record of building products for clinical care delivery, healthcare operations, or care teams.
Product management experience at a care-delivery company, health system, virtual-care company, clinical-services organization, or similarly complex healthcare environment.
Hands-on experience evaluating, building, improving, or integrating EMRs and other clinician-facing tools.
Deep empathy for clinicians and care teams. You understand the realities of delivering great care and can recognize when a seemingly simple product decision creates unnecessary burden in a clinical workflow.
Excellent product judgment. You can distinguish between a real workflow problem and a feature request, define the smallest meaningful solution, and make thoughtful decisions in ambiguous environments.
A strong understanding of care delivery from end to end, including the operational and administrative work required before, during, and after a patient visit.
Clear written and verbal communication skills. You can write strong product briefs and requirements, explain complex decisions simply, and create alignment across clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders.
A practical, patient safety focused approach to product development. You understand the importance of HIPAA, clinical data privacy, and thoughtful safeguards for tools that affect care delivery.
Important, but not the most critical
Telehealth or virtual-care delivery experience.
Experience working in a startup or other small, fast-moving environment with broad scope and limited structure.
Experience leading cross-functional product work through influence rather than direct management.
Experience with workflow automation, AI-enabled tools, or operational systems that reduce repetitive administrative work.
Comfort partnering closely with engineers and designers to move from discovery through delivery.
Experience leading change management, training, rollout, and adoption for new clinical workflows or technology.
Compensation & Benefits

Equity stake for all employees based on role level

Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Flexibility: We offer Full Time & Part Time positions
Mission-Driven: You’ll be part of a company that exists to change lives—clinically and systemically
What you'll do:
Conduct functional medicine visits virtually and/or in-person
Use advanced testing to uncover root causes of chronic illness
Partner with health coaches and care teams to drive outcomes
Build deep relationships with your patients over time
Document care in a proprietary, user-friendly EMR
What do you bring to the table?
Are a board-certified MD, DO, NP, or PA with active state licensure in NY or CA.
Have at least 3 years of post-residency clinical experience (functional medicine training a plus)
Are passionate about lifestyle medicine, nutrition, and long-term patient relationships
Thrive in a startup environment and love fast feedback loops
Believe in collaborative, whole-person care
What does Parsley bring to the table?
Competitive salary and bonus structure
Flexible PTO policies
Sick Leave
401k + Matching
Company sponsored medical, dental, and vision coverage

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Form CC-305

Fractional Growth Product Manager (Part-Time 1099 Contract)
Parsley Health · Independent Contractor · 3 months, possible extension · Remote
Parsley Health is seeking a fractional Growth Product Manager consultant to lead a defined conversion-rate optimization engagement across our customer acquisition and clinical onboarding experience. This engagement will focus on experiments across parsleyhealth.com’s join and checkout flow with one clear mandate: move the funnel.
About Parsley Health
Parsley Health is the leading holistic medical practice combining advanced testing, root-cause medicine, and personalized care plans. We help members address chronic conditions and build long-term health through a clinician-led, evidence-based approach. We’re a remote-first team backed by leading healthcare and consumer investors.
The engagement
This is a 3-month independent contractor engagement to lead our conversion-rate optimization (CRO) program while we determine the long-term shape of the growth function.
You’ll lead a defined CRO workstream across the funnel, auditing it screen by screen, generating hypotheses, running tests end to end, calling wins and losses, and helping ship decisions to 100 percent. This is not a run-the-queue engagement. We are looking for someone who can bring judgment, structure, and practical recommendations based on what they see in the data and user experience.
Recent tests we’ve shipped or are running include restricting the scheduling window, reframing the advisor call as optional, moving the insurance eligibility check earlier, and pre-signup clinician matching. That’s the flavor of work: concrete, sequenced, and tied to a number.
You’ll collaborate with product design & engineering, and you’ll report to VP Product & Engineering.
Scope of services
The contractor will be expected to:
Lead the Care funnel CRO workstream. Audit the funnel, generate hypotheses, size and prioritize tests, brief design and engineering partners, support QA, monitor launches, call results, and recommend which winners should be shipped to 100 percent.
Manage and curate the experiment backlog. Maintain a single source-of-truth backlog in PostHog and Linear, continuously adding, deduping, and reprioritizing tests against the KPIs below. Re-rank priorities at least every two weeks based on results, expected impact, effort, and business need.
Data and reporting. Set up and maintain per-experiment PostHog dashboards and produce a weekly written experiment readout summarizing what’s running, current results, statistical confidence, and recommended next actions. The readout should be clear enough for non-PM executives to understand and use.
Build a durable findings library. Maintain a living CRO learnings document capturing each experiment’s hypothesis, variants, result, and takeaway so insights survive past the engagement and can transfer cleanly to a future owner.
How we’ll measure success
The engagement will be evaluated against progress on two metrics:
Primary: Overall conversion rate to purchase across the acquisition funnel.
Secondary: Reduction in the share of sales-assisted purchases, which we call advisor calls, by increasing self-serve conversion as a percentage of total purchases.
By month 3, we expect the engagement to produce a curated and prioritized backlog, 6 to 10 shipped experiments with clean readouts, and a findings library that a successor can pick up cold.
Who you are
You are a senior, hands-on individual contributor. You do the work yourself and are comfortable being the only PM on the program.
You have 7+ years of experience in growth product or CRO, with a track record of running structured experimentation programs that moved real funnel metrics, ideally in DTC, healthtech, or subscription businesses.
You are fluent in experiment design, including hypothesis framing, sizing, power, guardrails, and clean readouts. You are comfortable calling a test inconclusive when the data does not support a clear answer.
You are hands-on with PostHog, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or other behavioral analytics tools. You can build your own dashboards, debug instrumentation, and write SQL when needed.
You are comfortable working in Linear and Figma, and coordinating directly with engineering and design without a project manager in between.
You are a strong written communicator. The weekly readout is an important deliverable, and we expect it to be readable by a non-PM executive.
Bonus: experience with checkout or join flows for consumer healthcare, telehealth, or membership products.
Engagement details
Rate: $75 to $200 per hour, depending on experience.
Expected effort: Approximately 10 hours per week, depending on project needs. No minimum hours are guaranteed.
Term: 3 months, with possible extension by mutual written agreement.
Start: As soon as possible, ideally within 2 weeks of offer.
Location: Fully remote. US time zones preferred for collaboration.
Cadence: Weekly written async update, one 30-minute weekly working session to review experiment results and backlog priorities, plus reasonable async collaboration with design, engineering, data, and growth stakeholders.
Classification: This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement, not a W-2 employment role. The contractor will determine the manner and means of performing the services, subject to agreed deliverables, timelines, confidentiality obligations, and applicable Parsley policies related to systems access, privacy, security, and data handling.
Important note:
In light of recent increase in hiring scams, if you're selected to move onto the next phase of our hiring process, a member of our Talent Acquisition team will reach out to you directly from an @parsleyhealth.com email address to guide you through our interview process.

About us:
Parsley Health is the leading functional healthcare company in the U.S., founded by Dr. Robin Berzin, a Columbia-trained physician who saw the limits of conventional care and set out to build something radically better. Her mission—and ours—is to transform the way we treat chronic conditions through intelligent, root-cause care that blends functional medicine, advanced diagnostics, and personalized lifestyle support.
At Parsley, we believe healthcare should be preventive, data-driven, and deeply human. Our model gives clinicians the time, tools, and support they need to focus on what really matters: helping patients heal.

The opportunity:
We are hiring experienced, board-certified Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who are passionate about transforming primary care, have completed or started training in functional or integrative medicine, and who are extremely tech-savvy.

DEA license

The starting salary for this role is between $100,000 - $160,000, depending on skills and experience. We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with candidates during the process.
At Parsley Health we believe in celebrating everything that makes us human and are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We embrace diversity and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We believe that the more inclusive we are, the better we can serve our members.
