ABOUT RUNLAYER
AI is transforming how every company operates, but most enterprises are stuck. They want to move fast with AI Agents, tools, and workflows, but they can't do it safely. We're fixing that.
Our team built AI Actions for OpenAI, shipped Zapier Agents to millions of users, and launched the first remote MCP server with Anthropic. We helped establish the protocol, and now we're building the platform enterprises need to actually put AI to work.
Runlayer is one platform for MCPs, Skills, and Agents: purpose-built security, fine-grained governance, and complete observability so organizations can go all-in on AI across the entire company without the risk. We just raised a $30M Series A led by Felicis, with participation from Khosla Ventures, bringing our total raised to $42M. Already trusted by Gusto, Instacart, Opendoor, dbt Labs, and Decagon.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll own quality and testability for Runlayer Endpoint across macOS, Windows, Linux, enterprise device-management platforms, and AI clients.
This is a senior, hands-on engineering role combining exploratory testing, release qualification, and test-infrastructure development. You’ll build scalable, agent-driven testing systems for a complex cross-platform product and help ensure every release is reliable in real enterprise environments.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own release testing and quality for Runlayer Endpoint
- Build and operate a physical and virtual device lab
- Design a scalable test strategy across platforms, configurations, clients, and product states
- Automate installation, enrollment, configuration, upgrade, rollback, and removal flows
- Test deployments through enterprise device-management platforms
- Validate integrations with leading AI coding clients
- Build agent-driven tooling that expands coverage, gathers evidence, and accelerates failure analysis
- Integrate automated quality signals into CI and release workflows
- Reproduce customer issues and turn confirmed incidents into permanent regression tests
- Partner with engineers to improve product diagnostics, observability, and testability
- Define testability and coverage standards for new platforms, clients, and features
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Senior-level experience owning QA automation or test infrastructure
- Strong engineering skills in Python and system scripting such as Bash and PowerShell
- Hands-on experience testing software across macOS, Windows, and Linux
- Experience with endpoint management, MDM, device labs, or comparable fleet orchestration
- Experience testing native installation, upgrades, background services, permissions, credentials, and OS configuration
- Strong knowledge of integration, end-to-end, stateful, and combinatorial testing
- Ability to distinguish product defects from infrastructure failures and flaky tests
- Experience building reliable CI-driven systems with useful diagnostics and test artifacts
- Clear technical judgment and excellent bug reporting
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Intune, Jamf Pro, Kandji, SimpleMDM, Mosyle, or Workspace ONE
- Experience testing endpoint-security or fleet-management products
- Familiarity with MCP and AI coding clients
- Experience building testing tools for AI agents
- Experience with native packaging and signing on macOS, Windows, or Linux
- Experience with fault injection, change-impact analysis, or combinatorial test generation
WHAT WE OFFER
We provide a competitive package designed to attract and retain top talent who can work effectively with enterprise customers.
- Competitive salary and equity — compensation that reflects your expertise and customer-facing responsibilities.
- Paid time off — paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid parental leave.
- Professional development — budget for conferences, courses, and certifications in AI, enterprise software, and customer success.
- Top-tier equipment — your choice of laptop and accessories to create your ideal work environment.
- Health benefits — comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.

We just raised a $30M Series A led by Felicis, with participation from Khosla Ventures, bringing our total raised to $42M. Already trusted by Gusto, Instacart, Opendoor, dbt Labs, and Decagon.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Integrations Engineer, you'll own Runlayer's coverage surface: making every AI client, agent framework, and MCP server work first-class through the control plane. Coverage is the product, so you'll own integrations end to end, from design and launch through monitoring and debugging, and catch breaks before customers do. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role, and you'll help shape how the integrations function works as it grows.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: Coverage is the product; you'll make every AI client, agent framework, and MCP server work first-class through Runlayer.
- Excellence: Work alongside engineers who helped establish MCP and ship fast.
- Ownership: Own integrations end to end, from design and launch to monitoring, on-call, and incident response.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the full lifecycle of integrations: design, build, launch, monitor, and debug connectors across clients, agent frameworks, and MCP servers.
- Make every major AI client (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex, Copilot, and the long tail) work first-class through Runlayer, from auth to policy enforcement, hooks, and session extraction.
- Give agents built on any ADK (Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, Google ADK, and whatever ships next) identity, governance, and observability, including agent accounts and attributing MCP calls to the agents that made them.
- Keep 50+ third-party MCP connectors reliable: catch upstream breaks and auth regressions before customers hit them, and guide admins safely through migrations (URL changes, stdio-to-deploy, forced re-auth, scope changes).
- Own reliability end to end: coverage smoke-tests on every release, monitoring, and fast debugging under real-time customer pressure.
- Build the OAuth broker (the TypeScript/Express service managing OAuth 2.1 flows for third-party servers) and the tooling that scaffolds, validates, and publishes new integrations with little manual work.
- Work cross-functionally with product, partnerships, and customers, and help shape how the integrations function grows.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years building integrations, SDKs, or developer-platform connectors, with strong opinions on partner API design.
- Expert-level OAuth 2.1: you've implemented authorization servers, token brokers, or complex multi-provider OAuth flows.
- Agent-ecosystem fluency: you've built or operated MCP servers and shipped on at least one agent framework, and can explain transports, tool schemas, and session lifecycle from experience.
- Strong TypeScript and Python.
- You've built integration test suites that run against real third-party APIs with auth.
- An operational mindset: you own systems in production, treat reliability as first-class, and can trace an issue from a customer report through logs and API responses to root cause.
- You've maintained a catalog or marketplace of third-party integrations, with versioning, deprecation, and migration patterns.
- AI-native workflow: you delegate real work to agents daily
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Contributions to the MCP spec or to an agent framework.
- Experience running or scaling a partner / integrations engineering function.
- Familiarity with enterprise identity (SSO, SCIM) and policy enforcement.
WHAT WE OFFER
We provide a competitive package designed to attract and retain top talent who can work effectively with enterprise customers.
- Competitive salary and equity — compensation that reflects your expertise and customer-facing responsibilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Founding PM for the Control Plane, you'll own one governance plane for the full agent lifecycle: every MCP, skill, plugin, and agent, governed and observable across every surface an agent can touch. Today agents sprawl across every platform with little oversight; you'll build the one layer that sits between their agentic harnesses and the hundreds of SaaS apps their agents reach.
You'll work directly with the CPO, owning the roadmap from discovery through shipped product.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: Own the control plane that lets enterprises adopt AI agents without losing control.
- Excellence: Work closely with founders who helped establish MCP and ship fast.
- Ownership: Own the full control-plane surface end to end, from discovery through shipped product.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the control-plane surface: discovery, visibility, deep session, real-time controls, and agent IAM.
- Run discovery with security and IT buyers and the developers and agents who hit the proxy, turning signals into a ranked roadmap.
- Make decisions, prioritize the roadmap, and ship with engineers weekly.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 8+ years in product management, including 3+ on security, infrastructure, or identity/IAM products.
- Founder or early-PM experience; you've built product processes from zero.
- Fluency with the buyer/user split: the CISO/IT team who buys governance and the developer or agent who lives under it.
- Technical depth: you read code and reason about proxies, policy engines, OAuth/identity, and audit pipelines.
- Customer obsession: you run your own discovery calls and can name five customers from your last role by first name.
- Strong writing; you make your case in clear PRDs, not slide decks.
- AI-native, with real opinions on how agents and tools should be governed.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on building of MCP and how agents call tools in production.
- Background in detection and response, DLP/PII/PHI, secrets/vault, or compliance-driven enterprise sales (SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST).
- Shipped observability or policy products where winning meant covering more, in more detail, than anyone else.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Founding PM for Agents, you'll own where agents and skills get built, shipped, and run at scale, the growth engine of our customers. That means the fastest path from an idea to a working agent or skill, for engineers and non-technical builders alike, plus everything that happens once it's built: agents running on schedules and triggers, calling each other, governed by Runlayer underneath, and getting better over time.
You'll work directly with the CPO, owning the roadmap from discovery through shipped product.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: Build the tools that turn one builder into a team, and a team into an org running on agents.
- Excellence: Work closely with founders who helped establish MCP and ship fast.
- Ownership: Own the builder and the runtime end to end, from discovery through shipped product.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the builder: natural language to working agent, self improvement, versioning, and sharing.
- Own the runtime: event-based triggers, scheduling, model routing, and agent delegation.
- Drive growth: Slack Agents, time-to-first-working-agent, and the self-serve path that turns one builder into a team into an org.
- Define how product telemetry makes agents better over time.
- Serve both audiences: the engineer who wants SDK depth and the non-technical builder who wants natural language. Run discovery directly with both.
- Make decisions, prioritize, and ship with engineers weekly.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Head of Channel Sales, you'll build a new revenue engine for Runlayer through the cybersecurity reseller, value-added reseller, and partner ecosystem. You'll own the channel motion end-to-end, from initial relationship development through commercial structure, enablement, and revenue realization.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: You will open and scale an entirely new line of business for Runlayer. The channel is where some of the most strategic enterprise security buyers transact, and you are the person who unlocks it.
- Excellence: You'll work directly with the VP of Go-to-Market, the CEO, and the Account Executive team to position Runlayer with the partners who already have deep relationships across the Fortune 500.
- Ownership: You'll bring an established network of partner relationships, map the most influential resellers and VARs in the security ecosystem, structure the commercial and operational frameworks that make partnerships work, and represent Runlayer as the senior point of contact across the channel community.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build the channel from the ground up. Define Runlayer's channel strategy, identify the partners that matter most, and stand up the relationships, programs, and processes that will scale.
- Activate your network on day one. Use existing relationships across the cybersecurity reseller and VAR community to accelerate adoption of Runlayer and shorten the time to first revenue.
- Map and prioritize the ecosystem. Identify which resellers, VARs, and partner organizations align with Runlayer's enterprise customer base and prioritize where to invest first.
- Own the commercial relationship. Lead negotiations, structure partner agreements, and manage the full commercial lifecycle with each partner.
- Educate partners on Runlayer. Equip partner-side sellers, solutions engineers, and account teams with the knowledge they need to position Runlayer effectively.
- Drive partner-sourced revenue. Own the channel pipeline and revenue target, and report against it.
- Facilitate introductions and co-selling motions. Bridge partner relationships into Runlayer's direct sales team to drive joint enterprise opportunities.
- Partner cross-functionally. Work with Go-to-Market, Marketing, Product, and Operations to ensure partners are supported through every stage of the customer lifecycle.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Established channel experience. Seven or more years of relevant professional experience, with significant time spent building or leading channel and partnership functions at a high-growth security or enterprise SaaS company.
- Strong, active relationships. A deep and current network of relationships across the leading cybersecurity reseller and VAR community. References from partner-side contacts at top resellers carry significant weight.
- Track record of building channel motions. Demonstrated success driving partner-sourced revenue at scale, ideally with experience taking a channel motion from zero to one inside a high-growth company.
- Cybersecurity ecosystem expertise. Deep understanding of how the channel operates in cybersecurity, including the commercial structures, buyer dynamics, and partner motions that define the space.
- Commercial sophistication. Experience structuring partner agreements, negotiating commercial terms, and operating with executive-level stakeholders on both the partner and customer side.
- High ownership and bias for action. Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, early-stage environment without an established playbook. You'll build the playbook.
- Strong communicator and relationship operator. Able to represent Runlayer at the executive level externally and partner cleanly internally with sales, product, and operations.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience at a top-tier cybersecurity company known for channel excellence.
- Experience building channel motions at a portfolio company of a firm with a strong security-channel reputation.
- Background that combines direct enterprise sales with channel leadership.
- Exposure to AI infrastructure, MCP, or adjacent emerging categories.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Demand Gen Lead, you'll build Runlayer's demand generation engine from zero — paid acquisition, inbound, email and lifecycle, ABM, and the attribution infrastructure underneath it all. We run no paid today (all inbound is organic), but we have the budget, the deal sizes, and the pipeline pressure to make paid a real channel. This is a true zero-to-one build: you'll be hands-on-keyboard as a player-coach first, then hire and lead a team underneath you as the function scales.
Reports to the Head of Marketing. Remote-friendly (we have a NYC office on Bond Street if you're local). 20% travel.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: Build the demand gen motion from scratch for the enterprise platform to run AI faster & safely
- Excellence: Work alongside founders and a senior GTM team closing Fortune 500 deals through pure inbound
- Ownership: Own demand gen end-to-end — channel strategy, campaigns, landing pages, systems, and attribution — and grow a team beneath you
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and run paid acquisition across Google, LinkedIn, and other B2B channels — starting from zero, experimenting fast, and scaling what works
- Own ABM strategy and execution against our target enterprise accounts
- Own landing page strategy and production for campaigns and paid traffic
- Own email and lifecycle marketing: nurture programs, newsletters, and re-engagement of our existing database
- Drive SEO and AEO as AI search becomes a core lead source
- Build the marketing systems foundation hands-on — campaign tracking, lead capture, UTM/attribution instrumentation, and reporting in HubSpot (we're building this from scratch; you won't inherit a stack)
- Define lead quality, routing, and handoff with SDRs and sales — and own pipeline reporting for marketing-sourced leads
- Run growth experiments across channels to find what scales, and kill what doesn't
- Partner with PMM on campaign messaging and with field marketing on digital amplification (conferences, partner campaigns, events)
- Hire and manage the demand gen team as the function grows
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5–7 years in demand gen or growth marketing at B2B SaaS, infra, or developer tools companies — senior manager level, or director at a smaller company
- Experience in a sales-led, high-ACV enterprise motion (six-figure deals, long sales cycles) — this is not a PLG/self-serve role
- People management experience: you've managed at least 1–2 people and can build and lead a team, but you're comfortable operating solo as a player-coach first
- Proven track record building demand gen or paid acquisition programs from scratch — you've done the zero-to-one, not just optimized an inherited machine
- Hands-on operator, not a project manager: you set up your own campaigns, systems, and reporting rather than handing work off to marketing ops
- Strong paid ads chops across Google, LinkedIn, and emerging channels
- Data-driven: comfortable with attribution models, funnel analysis, and pipeline reporting, and able to build that instrumentation yourself (HubSpot experience a plus)
- Understanding of SEO and AEO; experience with tools like Profound is a plus
- Comfortable running experiments fast and killing what doesn't work
- Gritty and startup-tested: you've built in scrappy environments and know what it means when nothing exists yet
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- ABM program experience targeting large enterprise accounts
- Deep technical product background — you can learn the product yourself rather than relying on PMM for every brief
- AI-native, uses Claude
WHAT WE OFFER

ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Creative Director, you'll own video, motion, and visual storytelling across Runlayer. You'll create launch videos, product explainers, and demo content while overseeing case study production with external vendors. This is a hands-on role: you push pixels, not just strategy.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: Define the visual language of the enterprise AI control plane at a critical inflection point
- Excellence: Work alongside our renowned product designer from Square and Meta Reels, and founders who care deeply about craft
- Ownership: Own all video and motion output, from quick explainers to polished customer stories
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Create launch videos, product demos, and narrative explainer videos (think Servo-style, not high production live action)

- Oversee external vendors on customer case studies and testimonials
- Push pixels on web: landing pages, campaign assets, visual identity extensions
- Establish the motion and video language that scales as we build out the marketing team
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong motion design and video production skills. You can concept, design, and ship a launch video yourself.

As an Identity engineer, you'll own the authentication and authorization layer that secures every AI-to-enterprise connection on Runlayer, from the OAuth broker behind our enterprise integrations to how AI agents prove who they are and get auditable access. You'll work directly with customers and help shape the MCP Auth spec that defines how agent identity works industry-wide.
WHY YOU'LL THRIVE HERE
- Impact: Own the identity and authentication layer that secures every AI-to-enterprise connection on our platform.
- Excellence: Work alongside engineers who've shipped AI systems at scale.
- Ownership: Shape how MCP & AI agent authentication works, from spec-level decisions to production code.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Architect and implement authentication and authorization systems for MCP servers (OAuth 2.0, Dynamic Client Registration, token management).
- Build and extend our OAuth broker that handles enterprise identity integrations across dozens of vendors.
- Design identity propagation for AI agents, ensuring secure, auditable access to enterprise systems.
- Integrate with enterprise identity providers (Okta, WorkOS, Azure AD) and SCIM systems.
- Define fine-grained access control policies for MCP tools and resources.
- Collaborate directly with customers like Gusto and Rippling to solve real-world identity challenges.
- Contribute to the MCP Auth spec and help define how agent identity works industry-wide.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with significant focus on identity, authentication, or authorization systems.
- Deep experience with OAuth 2.0/OIDC, including DCR, token exchange, and audience restriction.
- Background building or integrating with enterprise identity systems (Okta, WorkOS, Auth0, AWS IAM, GCP IAM).
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems and API security.
- Experience with Python and TypeScript (our stack is Python/FastAPI backend, TypeScript/React frontend).
- Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers to understand and solve their security requirements.
- Heavy AI user who leverages tools like Claude Code or Cursor to multiply output.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Kubernetes-native authorization patterns or service mesh security.
- Background in ML security (differential privacy, LLM security research).
- Prior work on identity for multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with the MCP specification.
