We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development Manager to join our Wise Platform team in North America. In this role, you will help deliver world-class API payment solutions to some of the largest enterprises, fintechs, and digital platforms globally—powered by Wise’s cutting-edge infrastructure.
Wise Platform has successfully launched partnerships worldwide with industry leaders such as Morgan Stanley, Google, NuBank, Ramp, Deel, and Mandiri, connecting and powering 80+ global banks and digital platforms through our technology stack.
We are looking for a seasoned business development leader with a proven track record of working with the largest digital platforms in North America and globally to take Wise Platform partnerships to the next level. The digital platforms vertical encompasses leading enterprise platforms across spend management, workforce platforms, marketplaces, and e-commerce.
A bit about the role:
This role is based in our Austin office, working alongside the Head of Business Development for North America's digital platforms. You will collaborate closely with the North America Regional team and the Global Wise Platform teams across our offices worldwide. Additionally, you will work with various functions, including product management, compliance and legal, implementation, and engineering.
As a senior member of our commercial team in North America and the digital platform vertical team globally, you will own key opportunities with the largest enterprises and financial platforms. You will drive initiatives to expand Wise Platform’s capabilities and contribute to the growth of Wise’s infrastructure footprint in North America.
Requirements at a Glance
8+ years in payments (Card, Domestic/Global, or E-wallets).
Proven success in B2B/Enterprise Sales for strategic accounts.
Experience closing $500k+ ARR deals with long-lead cycles.
Deep expertise in Bill Pay, Spend Management, and Embedded Finance.
Strong Consultative Selling and Project Management skills.
Your Mission
Architect the Vertical Strategy: Build and execute the North American go-to-market strategy for the Workforce Management Sector across Payroll, Employee of Record, Freelancer/ Contractor employment platform sectors
Drive Top-of-Funnel, Build Pipeline and Win new Wise Platform Partners: Act as a "self-starter" to build a high-quality pipeline from scratch, identifying key targets and emerging fintech trends to win new enterprise logos.
Own Complex Enterprise Deals: Lead the end-to-end "hunt-to-close" process for >$500k ARR opportunities, navigating 6–12 month sales cycles and the technical nuances of embedded finance and API integrations.
Influence the C-Suite: Utilize "executive presence" to build consensus among C-Suite, translating complex cross-border challenges into clear ROI, scalability, and risk-mitigation strategies.
Master Consultative Selling: Move beyond "selling a product" to diagnose deep pain points and, mapping Wise’s solutions to solve specific business problems.
Orchestrate Cross-Functional Projects: Act as the bridge between external stakeholders and internal Product, Legal, and Engineering teams to ensure complex, multi-million dollar deals are both commercially sound and technically buildable.
Execute with Commercial Acumen: Drive revenue and volume growth by mastering the math behind the deal—including platform monetization, interchange, and FX margins—to refine our go-to-market efforts.
Shape the Global Product: Provide local market insights that influence the Wise Platform product roadmap, pricing strategies, and our competitive position as a market leader in North American financial services

We’re looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our growing team in Austin, Texas.
The Wise Platform team works with financial institutions and major tech companies at a global level to offer Wise products and services directly to their customers through our API.
Solutions Engineers make it happen by working with partners to build integrations to our class-leading international finance products, while improving Wise Platform by increasing the capabilities of our public API. The team’s goals are to drive the growth of Wise through partnerships and integrations by creating a world class product set delivered through third parties.
As part of this role, you will
Provide technical consulting and product guidance to banks and other partners integrating Wise, primarily post-sale
Ensure partners deliver the best integration within their constraints for an excellent customer experience
Assist partners in the implementation phase, defining technical solutions and documenting requirements
Support business development by aiding larger partners requiring novel features, including technical scoping and feature design.
Participate in feature definition, prioritisation, and long-term strategy planning with the Wise Platform team
Collaborate with Implementation Managers, Product Managers, and Engineers, making product and project decisions
Design and develop new features for Wise services and expose them on the public API when needed
Work on scaling Wise Platform into new regions, overcoming associated challenges
Improve integration experience through documentation, APIs, SDKs, code samples, and reference implementations
Collaborate with the technical presales team to support the sales cycle and secure new partnerships
Enhance internal processes to handle multiple integrations in parallel
Troubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues, aiding the API support team with complex problems
This role will give you the opportunity to

Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, able to handle ambiguity and competing priorities.
Familiarity with common design patterns and architectural principles, including domain-driven design (DDD), event-driven architecture (EDA), and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with Java (Spring), Kubernetes, AWS, and service mesh architectures and technologies such as RESTful APIs, API design, Swagger, OpenAPI, and OAuth2.
Familiarity and working experience with relational databases (e.g.MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
At least 6+ years in customer-facing engineering roles ideally within financial services or similar domain (e.g. solutions engineer, IT consultant, partner engineer, integration engineer, solutions consultant).
Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Customer centric approach.
Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver projects.
Strong self-management skills are essential, including the ability to manage individual projects and deals effectively. Prioritizing tasks across various work streams is also a key requirement.

We're looking for a Senior Risk Manager to drive the implementation and day-to-day management of our risk management framework for the Wise US Broker Dealer franchise, with a particular focus on Operational risk management. This role will provide guidance on risk and control assessments, risk appetite, KRIs, audit and self identified issues, incident management, control monitoring and remediation, and new product initiatives.
We need to make sure we're identifying the right risks and design effective scalable controls, including a comprehensive control monitoring program.
What will you be doing?
Supporting the implementation and operation of our enterprise risk framework, with a particular focus on Operational risks, including embedding of the risk and control self assessment process, and issues management.
Define the key risks inherent in end to end business processes, and coordinate the mapping and documentation of controls.
Help design a scalable control monitoring program.
Support first line teams in documenting, solutioning, and prioritising control gaps and drive a culture of proactive issue identification and remediation.
Ongoing oversight of issue remediation activities using our risk management tool (Optro) to ensure appropriate risk focused prioritisation, and help validate closure of remediated issues.
Support the development and implementation of key risk indicators, and risk appetite statements.
Support and drive the creation of dashboards using data analytics tools to report on key risk indicators and identify actionable insights.
Coordinate the quarterly residual risk assessment process across the risk taxonomy, including loss and incident reporting, to inform our regional risk profile for reporting to local and global risk committees, and to our local board.
Partnering with ‘first line’ teams across the business to support the design and launch of new products and features by ensuring that key operational risks are identified and mitigated prior to launch.
Promoting and helping embed a proactive risk culture, making risk meaningful and relevant to everyone at Wise.
You have worked in the financial services, ideally a broker dealer or investment management / advisory firm, or in a fintech.
Proven experience in broker‑dealer (FINRA/SEC) end to end investment services and operations is a definite plus.
Payment products, ACH payment rails and payment operations are a bonus.
You are comfortable with data analysis and data-driven problem solving and solutionising. SQL, Looker and Superset experience is a definite plus.
You have experience in enterprise and / or operational risk management, inherent and residual risk assessment, and risk reporting.
You have experience process level risk identification and control mapping,
You have experience in supporting risk assessments and/or operational risk event capture and analysis and finding new and innovative ways to do things.
You are experienced in driving the identification, logging, root-cause analysis, remediation planning, action tracking, validation/closure, and reporting of issues.

We're looking for a Risk Lead to manage the Northam Enterprise and Operational Risk Management team, and drive the implementation and day-to-day management of our Enterprise and Operational risk management frameworks across our US and Canada entities.
This role is responsible for driving the control mapping exercise, the design and implementation of control monitoring, risk appetite statements, and KRIs. This role will also drive the issue management process, ensuring a culture of proactive self identification and accountability for the remediation of issues. Another important part of this role is to help our Product Managers launch new products faster and safely by identifying the key risks and helping build scalable controls.
What will you do?
Manage, coach and mentor a team of four risk management professionals.
Manage, partner, and influence senior regional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations, Banking and Compliance to embed the risk function and risk management program.
Lead the implementation and ongoing management of our Enterprise and Operational Risk Management frameworks across the US and Canada entities, including ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, embedding of the risk and control self assessment process, and issues management.
Conduct in-depth reviews to identify risks and complete control mapping across our most material processes, and help design scalable controls and a control monitoring & testing program.
Lead the development and implementation of risk appetite statements, risk tolerance thresholds, and key risk indicators, and work with data analysts and Product managers to create monitoring dashboards.
Support first line teams in documenting, solutioning, and prioritising control gaps.
Ongoing oversight of issue remediation activities, including regulatory remediation, using our risk management tool (Audit Board) to ensure appropriate risk focused prioritisation, and help validate closure of remediated issues, including advising on the risk acceptance of issues where appropriate.
Analysing incidents and producing actionable insights.
Partnering with ‘first line’ teams across the business to support the launch of new products by ensuring that key risks are identified and mitigated with the right balance of pre-launch and post-launch checks with a focus on ensuring we can continue to ship quality products at pace.
Coordinate the quarterly residual risk assessment process across the risk taxonomy, including loss and incident reporting, to inform our regional risk profile for reporting to local and global risk committees, and to our local boards.

- You have experience managing, coaching and mentoring a team.
You have worked in the financial services, banking or fintech sector. You have a keen interest and proven experience in payment services, and operational controls and reporting.
Working knowledge of the OCC regulatory regime relating to enterprise and operational risk management. Regulatory remediation experience is a definite plus.
Understanding the mechanics of Federal Reserve Bank payment rails and scheme rules is a definite plus.
You have experience in enterprise risk and operational risk management, risk and control self assessments, and risk reporting.
You have the ability to go deep and understand complex operational processes, identify risks and controls.
