About the Role
We're hiring a Sales Account Manager to own our Upstate New York territory — covering Hudson Valley, Capital District, Mohawk Valley, North Country areas. This is a field sales role with full revenue ownership of a defined territory and named-account responsibility for key chain partners. The ideal candidate combines Hudson Valley and Capital District field intensity with the route-planning discipline required for the Mohawk Valley and North Country areas.
Responsibilities
Own monthly revenue across the territory: retain existing accounts, develop new business, and drive multi-brand penetration at every visit.
Manage Key Account relationships — including a multi-store chain partner and other named accounts — through buyer-level relationships, business reviews, and joint promotions.
Spend 4 days per week in the field; make 25+ in-person account visits per week with documented call notes.
Build and execute a written territory plan with named target accounts, route cadence, and quota by account.
Partner with brand teams on ride-alongs and product launches in the region.
Submit a weekly forecast and pipeline review; maintain CRM hygiene with no exceptions.
What You Bring
Required: 3+ years in B2B field sales, ideally in New York cannabis, beverage, CPG, or another regulated distribution channel.
Required: Demonstrated track record of revenue growth on a defined territory — retention plus new business.
Required: Comfort with a geographically expansive territory; willingness to drive long routes to Mohawk Valley and North Country accounts on a regular cadence in addition to denser Hudson Valley and Capital District coverage.
Required: Fluency with CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or comparable); data-driven approach to forecasting.
Required: Valid NY driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Preferred: Existing relationships with New York licensed retailers
Preferred: Experience selling a multi-brand portfolio.
Preferred: Familiarity with cannabis-specific operating realities (METRC, retail license types).
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary: $85,000
Commission: 1.5% of net sales collected on all brands in your book, paid monthly. Uncapped.
On-target earnings: competitive with senior New York cannabis field sales roles; scales with active account count and territory growth.
Mileage, phone, and field expense reimbursement.
Growth path into Regional Sales Manager, National Account, or Brand Partnership roles as the team scales.
Unlimited PTO and paid holidays
Medical/Dental/Vision offered to all full-time employees
401(k) plan with a match.

This position is only open to candidates who are currently located in and authorized to work in: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA, or WI.
Role Overview:
The B2B Collections Specialist owns a portfolio of retailer accounts, driving timely collection of outstanding invoices on behalf of Nabis' brand partners. This is a relationship and judgment-heavy role: you'll balance firm, professional collections outreach with the retailer relationship management needed to keep accounts healthy long-term, while flagging risk early and keeping brands and internal stakeholders informed every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own a dedicated portfolio of brand/retailer accounts, driving proactive, self-prioritized outreach on past-due COD and net-terms invoices.
Lead collections conversations with professionalism, empathy, and firm negotiation — resolving disputes, brokering payment plans, and securing payment commitments in difficult situations.
Partner daily with invoicing, operations, and delivery teams to resolve payment blockers in real time and keep product moving.
Understand and follow established Slack workflows for status updates, escalation alerts, and cross-team hand-offs — reducing manual follow-up and keeping stakeholders looped in automatically.
Manage and triage tasks across Asana and Zendesk, self-prioritizing a high-volume queue without dropping accounts.
Identify early warning signs of retailer credit risk or brand delinquency and escalate through defined channels before balances become uncollectible.
Produce weekly, account-level AR and credit reporting, and support Accounting with data for allowances for doubtful accounts.
Flag likely-uncollectible invoices early and coordinate next steps with brands, Accounting, and leadership.
Document and maintain clean, audit-ready records of every account interaction, escalation, and resolution.
Use AI tools to streamline day-to-day workflows — drafting outreach, summarizing account history, and speeding up reporting — so more time goes toward high-value collections conversations.
Continuously improve collections process documentation — tightening escalation paths and closing gaps as the team scales.
WHAT YOU BRING
Confidence to have difficult collections conversations, negotiate effectively, and secure payment commitments
3+ years in B2B collections or high-volume customer service — retail, distribution, or fintech environments preferred.
Proven track record managing a large account portfolio and hitting collections/aging targets in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong negotiation and de-escalation skills; able to hold firm on payment terms while preserving the retailer relationship.
Hands-on experience with Slack, Asana, and Zendesk — and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
Comfortable working with data: Excel/Google Sheets fluency, pivot tables, and pulling insight from AR aging reports.
Comfortable using AI tools to work more efficiently and streamline repetitive tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to flex tone across retailers, brand partners, and internal leadership.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable creating and maintaining process documentation.
Thrives with ambiguity and change — genuinely energized by startup pace and scale.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; BPO/customer-service background a plus.
Genuine interest in enhancing the customer experience with a growing, technology driven company.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation $22 - $26 hourly
You'll work at the fastest growing cannabis startup
